Last week, more Americans tuned in to watch re-runs of “Yogi Bear,” “Full House,” and “Friends” on Nick At Nite than to watch Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon’s shows on CNN. According to cable ratings from the week of June 26-July 2, CNN’s viewership of its primetime shows was ranked significantly lower than its competitors like Fox News and MSNBC, which place first and second respectively. Clocking in at No. 10 on the list, CNN fell behind HGTV, Nick At Nite, History Channel, and ESPN — the sports network that’s been hemorrhaging viewers for months. CNN’s ratings nosedive corresponds with...

Fox News topped the basic cable landscape for the 25th consecutive week in total day viewership, per Nielsen data. The network also finished No. 1 in total prime time viewers for the 5th consecutive week. FNC programs made up 11 of the top 20 telecasts in total viewers, led by the prime time slate of Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Five and Hannity. Fox News moved past MSNBC this past week in the prime time demo, and remains ahead in total viewers in prime time and across total day. MSNBC defeated CNN in total prime time viewers for the 22nd consecutive...

I like a lot of conservatives become very angry at the treatment of conservatives in the media and love it when Tucker Carlson takes to task liberals that comer on his show unprepared to defend what ever idiotic thing they have said on line or in the news. I have noticed a trend in the media over the last two years that I find disturbing and that is the claim that certain politicians are narcistic or sociopathic for disagreeing with liberals on issues. the moist disturbing part of this is that usually there are three types of people making theses...

Fox News is “Fair and Balanced” no more. In the latest sign of change at the cable news network, the “Fair and Balanced” motto that has long been a rallying cry for Fox News fans — and a finger in the eye of critics — is gone. The channel confirmed on Wednesday that slogan and network have parted ways. “The shift has nothing to do with programming or editorial decisions,” the network said in a statement. Instead, the slogan was dropped in part because of its close association with Roger Ailes, network’s co-founder, former chairman and the originator of the...

The Legacy is over, but 24 will live on. Fox has decided not to renew 24: Legacy for a second season despite investing heavily in the show by premiering it after the Super Bowl this year. The network will instead work with producers to re-develop the franchise for a “new version” with a refreshed cast later on down the line. The next edition will be more anthological, the network says (so more like a single season miniseries — which Legacy ultimately became). The decision concludes a rather dramatic rise and fall for the high-profile reboot, which revived the action-drama franchise...

With the firing, then death, of Roger Ailes, the departure of Bill O’Reilly, and the swirling rumors about Sean Hannity either leaving or being fired at Fox News, many conservatives flippantly insist that any one (or combination) of these and other conservative entertainers/news people could “start their own network.” It’s certainly possible that the right combination of entertainers and capitalists could buy an existing structure and form it into a network—itself a mammoth undertaking, but not impossible—but start one from scratch? It’s worth the time to recall how Fox News got to where it is today. In 1986 20th Century...

Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” host Sean Hannity used his opening monologue to address what he called “a well-funded, well-orchestrated campaign” against him and his show that included targeting his advertisers. Hannity was criticized over the past few weeks for his willingness to discuss former DNC staffer Seth Rich’s murder, an individual who some have claimed was the source of emails leaked to Wikileaks last year? [Please go to the Breitbart article and read the transcript of his monologue.] .

The USAA financial services firm says it is reinstating its advertising on Sean Hannity’s Fox News Channel program after receiving heavy criticism from many of the military members and veterans that it serves. The company said Tuesday it will also start advertising again on other programs where it had suspended its ads, including “Hardball” and “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC, and Jake Tapper’s “The Lead” on CNN.

Is Fox about to implode?... Mark Levin·Saturday, May 27, 2017 Its ratings are cratering. It has zero loyalty to its hosts. And the two lib Murdoch boys are calling the shots. Fox News Channel lent support to its best-known anchor Sean Hannity, saying Thursday that the popular host would return to its air next week following a Memorial Day holiday vacation – an effort to tamp down speculation that a controversy currently enveloping Hannity could escalate further. “Like the rest of the country, Sean Hannity is taking a vacation for Memorial Day weekend and will be back on Tuesday,” the 21st Century Fox-owned network said in a statement. “Those who suggest otherwise are going to look foolish.”

Fox News slipped to third place in the primetime demo for the first time in 17 years last week as competitors CNN and MSNBC enjoyed a surge in viewership thanks to a chaotic news week for President Donald Trump’s administration. For the week of May 15-19, Fox News averaged just 497,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted key demo of adults 25-54 during primetime hours, compared to CNN’s 589,00 and MSNBC’s 611,000, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which cited data from ratings tracker Nielsen.

When the Fox News Channel fired cable news giant Bill O’Reilly in April, reports surfaced revealing Fox News’ owner, the Murdoch family, wanting to move the network in a different direction. Out with the old guard, in with the new. More hosts similar to Megyn Kelly, who is now at NBC News, fewer like the ones who built the network from the ground up, including O’Reilly. About one month later, Fox News has a completely different news lineup, and the results thus far have been nothing short of disastrous. On Thursday, TV Newser reported Fox News, which once dominated its...

Seth MacFarlane is gearing up for a trek across the final frontier. Fox announced this week that this fall, it will launch a new science-fiction TV series, called the "The Orville." The show will star funnyman executive producer and actor MacFarlane ("Family Guy," "Ted") as the commander of the titular starship. Adrianne Palicki ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.") will portray MacFarlane's executive officer — and ex-wife — with a ragtag crew rounding out the cast. Think "Galaxy Quest" meets "Family Guy," and you're on the right track.
