Hi all, I'm trying to transfer some files I have on a micro-SD card to a friend's MacBook Air. I used my Windows-based PC to fill the card and when I insert it into the Mac the Mac doesn't recognize it (it doesn't show up on the desktop or by clicking "Find"). I talked to someone from BestBuy's GeekSquad on the phone last night and they said that Macs can't read cards unless they're formatted in something called "Fat 32". Can anyone please give me some tips on formatting messages at Free Republic? How do I make text italic or bold for instance? Or insert pictures?

I would appreciate it if one of you computer smart freepers would answer a question for me. I hate windows ME and have spent all night trying to format my hard drive to get rid of it. Everytime I go to the dos prompt and tell if to format, it tells me the drive is being used and it aborts my command. Today, at about noon, when I opened my homepage of http://freerepublic.com/focus/news/browse?ao=1 , I noticed that the website was NOT fitting my browser window (IE 6.026). The page is larger, horizontally, than my laptop window. I have never had this problem before. Nor do I have this problem with other FR windows, ie. BROWSE, REVIEW, or threads that I open to read.
