Not one, not two, but three prominent media figures are floating the idea that Michelle Obama (and Bill Clinton, apparently) intentionally butchered Iowa Senate candidate Bruce Braley’s name seven times last Friday. Rick Perry' held one public event in Iowa today - a jampacked coffee house appearance in fairly liberal-tilting Ames - and slammed Mitt Romney over thie $10,000 bet to reporters, while keeping his focus on his anti-Washington, anti-establishment message with the crowd. Perry spoke for about 15 minutes and took no questions at the event, which was marred at the end by protestors who shouted over his speech about his anti-DADT ad bemoaning the notion of fays in the military. President Obama arrived home to the White House on Wednesday from his five-day trip to Latin America and found himself locked out of the French doors to the Oval Office, as captured by several news organizations. My Media Research Center colleague Tim Graham reminded me that back on Nov. 21, 2005, the New York Times published on its front page a photo of President George W. Bush making a face after trying to leave a press conference in Beijing through a locked door, accompanied by an article that mentioned the gaffe.

Vice President Biden took a stab at Chief Justice John Roberts on Wednesday, one day after the chief justice flubbed the oath of office that President Obama was to recite at his inauguration.Biden was to swear in senior executive staff at a White House ceremony after having already given the oath to newly confirmed Cabinet secretaries. NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- When mourners showed up in north Alabama for Finley Christopher Farley's funeral, they were told that the dearly departed had not departed. He was just being detained in a New Orleans jail cell.
