That didn't take long.
During his first full day in office, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. made a jarring verbal gaffe, shooting a public dig at the Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. that left President Obama grim-faced.
When asked by Mr. Obama to administer the oath of office to White House senior staff, Mr. Biden, who is known for saying things he shouldn't, asked, "Am I doing this again?"
Appearing in need of a cheat sheet off of which he could read the oath, Mr. Biden then said, "My memory isn't as good as Justice Roberts'."
It was an unsubtle dig at the chief justice, who during Mr. Obama's swearing in at the Capitol on Tuesday flubbed the oath of office, causing Mr. Obama to pause and stumble through the highlight of his inauguration.
But the new president appeared not to be amused by Mr. Biden's crack. As some in the audience drew in breath and gave low "oohs," Mr. Obama stood silently next to Mr. Biden and appeared to just barely shake his head.
It was the second time this week a Biden went off script, to the embarrassment of the new administration.
Appearing with her husband on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Monday, Jill Biden confided that during the presidential campaign Mr. Obama had offered Mr. Biden the choice of being vice president or secretary of state.
As Mr. Biden put his finger to his lips and said, "Shhhhh," Mrs. Biden stuck by her account, saying he chose vice president in part because the job involved less travel.
"If you're secretary of state, you'll be away, we'll never see you," she said.
After Wednesday's gibe at the chief justice, Mr. Biden then asked who he was swearing in, prompting Mr. Obama to instruct all his...

Dammit Joe! Doncha know Roberts could hear one of those BC cases against me!
I pray for Obama’s health every day.
Select a VP running mate who is a mentally-ill moron who has anus hairs stapled to his scalp, and what do you expect ?
The other day before the Inauguration, Biden was delivering a few short comments at the Lincoln Memorial. As he wound up the comments, he didn’t know which way to exit the stage. And then it became clear to anyone watching, that his wife and Obama and his wife were sitting just a short distance away. Biden couldn’t even make this non-critical decision. What happens when this guy has to make even a moderately tough decision.
If Obama become incapacitated for any reason, it would be advisable for us to think long and hard before giving Biden the green light. He’s not fit to hold the top spot and just about everyone knows it. What a terrible position the nation would be in, because once power falls to Biden, good luck trying to stop him from ruling, even if everyone agrees.
If he’s just stupid, you can’t impeach him. And it would be hard to prove he’s so mentally incapable of leading. We’ve have to put up with him until the end of the term. That could be a serious problem.
Too funny... Well, it would be more funny if it weren’t so sad. It’s typical of Socialists like Obama to want everything just so — they are total control freaks, and I can just bet that is exactly what Obama is like. He wants everything a certain way, and is going to do everything exactly as he has planned out...
As for Biden - due to the serious gaffe with the first recitation, and the missing Bible for the Second taking of the Oath of Office - technically Joe Biden has been the acting President for some 36 hours by the time Obama repeated the oath satisfying the Constitution Requirement, and some are even arguing that he may STILL technically be the President due to the missing Bible in the “Do-Over”.
So, seeing that Biden was President for over a day wouldn’t that make him the 44th President, and Obama became/will become the 45th President once everyone figures out if they “did it right” or not!
This really is getting beyond ridiculous...
what you said.
“The selection of Biden as running mate should have been enough proof of poor judgment on Obamas part to preclude him from being elected.”
Perhaps Obama was just flattered that Joe fancied him to be a clean and articulate black man?
I notice this column appears in the Washington Times. Will the liberal media avoid or bury this story?

Yeaaaaaaa, we have our own King Hussein.
That's a real ROFLMAO!
We should never forget that not only did Obama choose Biden, but that he also thought Caroline Kennedy would make a good v.p. scout. She hardly had anything close to Cheney’s credentials when Bush sought his advice.

BTW, off the subject a bit, but... I've felt since before the election that Biden will be a one-term VP, regardless of how his boss does. 0bama won't need his "experience" any more if he's successful, and will look to groom a younger and more able pol to be his successor.
This rocky start for Plugs just reinforces the idea in my mind.
I can’t wait to hear the pretzel logic that the Left uses to defend Biden’s intellect after they spent the last eight years savaging Bush’s.
That's a real ROFLMAO too! Back to back on the same thread! Imagine the status of foreign relations with Biden as Secretary of State. Maybe Hillary wasn't such a poor choice. Just say a prayer for the O's health.
Obama is Bozo the Clown all on his own. He interrupted Roberts. Not Biden. This is orchestrated by Axelrod to provide Obama cover for his ineptness.
Never forget that Obama and his racist wife Michelle's gaffes will be on display on a daily basis. Axelrod is attempting to prevent Obama from being mocked. He will FAIL. Not only will Axelrod fail on a domestic front from preventing Obama to be mocked by his own words and behaviors on a daily basis, he will fail on an international front.
Sit back and know that Obama and Hater Michelle will continue to offend because they are racists. It's inevitable and there is nothing Axelrod can do to stop it.
