President Trump's plan to resume campaign rallies has been called "too risky" by Democrats. The gist of their criticism is that the packed arena and sports stadiums that have characterized past Trump rallies would spread the COVID-19 virus. This criticism contrasts with the fulsome praise Democrats have heaped upon the George Floyd protests over the past two weeks. Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla), a rumored contender for the VP slot on the Democratic presidential ticket explained the apparent hypocrisy as "the conflation of two distinctly different activities. At Trump rallies you have thousands of deplorables crammed together in a confined space...

In a desperate bid to atone for his previous words and deeds that many are now criticizing as racist, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden asserted that “the murder of George Floyd has had a bigger impact on the world than the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King. King ignored the importance of race. He preached that character was more important than skin color. As events subsequent to his death have shown, he was wrong. Putting character ahead of color is white thinking. Nothing is more important than skin color. Fortunately, the murder of Floyd has brought this truth to light.”...

One of my favorite low-budget films from the 1980s was John Carpenter’s Escape from New York — an urban nightmare, where the imperial US is perpetually at war and the degeneracy of society results in a whole city being turned into a maximum security purgatory. Presumably the backstory involved protests that got out of control and which led to the annexation of New York’s Manhattan Island. There is a vicarious pleasure in watching characters navigating hellish dystopias — but the footage from the past week of American cities being trashed was gut wrenching. My exposure to these events came through...

Observation: No one is wearing a mask in the Floyd videos. Not the police, not Floyd or the passengers, none of the bystanders, none of the shop owners. Did they not have a mask mandate in Minneapolis at the time, May 25th? Everyone is wearing a mask during the pressers on the event. Imo, this incident was recorded and held for the right time, released and hyped to instigate the events that followed.

It boggles the minds of people who are relative political outsiders. People who follow politics, and understand that it is a rough business, could never have imagined the lengths that the Democratic Party establishment, the Deep State, and the majority-leftist press would go to destroy a candidate, a president-elect, a president, and now, a commander-in-chief seeking a second term. The litany is etched into consciousness. Russian collusion and Mueller. The perfect Ukraine call and impeachment. Finally, the stage-management of the hysteria surrounding COVID-19, a virus everyone knows can be extremely nasty, but that has not proved—in pretty swift retrospect—to represent...

On Monday’s segment of his prime-time show, the Fox News host Tucker Carlson cast doubt on the reasons behind the worldwide unrest prompted by the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last month. “This may be a lot of things, this moment we are living through,” Mr. Carlson said. “But it is definitely not about black lives, and remember that when they come for you. And at this rate, they will.” Since he made those statements and others, prominent companies including the Walt Disney Company, Papa John’s, Poshmark and T-Mobile have distanced themselves from “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” joining other...

Joe Biden on Thursday compared the death of George Floyd to the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968, saying Floyd’s death had a bigger global "impact" than King’s. At an economic reopening roundtable in Philadelphia, the former vice president spoke of how the advent of smartphones had precipitated global participation in the movement against police brutality and racial injustice. “Even Dr. King’s assassination did not have the worldwide impact that George Floyd’s death did,” Biden said. “It’s just like television changed the Civil Rights movement for the better when they saw Bull Connor and his dogs ripping the...

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh announced this morning he is declaring racism a public health crisis and will transfer $3 million from the police overtime budget to help put his order in motion immediately. Walsh said there is a “new urgency” to erase racism in the city and added Boston’s budget for the coming year will reallocate a total of $12 million to programs for youth and more. That will start with the $3 million for the declaration.

Former Vice President Joe Biden said on Thursday that even the 1968 assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. did not have the same global impact as the killing of George Floyd in police custody last month has. Speaking at a roundtable discussion in Philadelphia, Biden said that the advent of smartphones had allowed the reality of police brutality against people of color to spread like it never has before, comparing it to how the rise of television in the 1960s showed Americans the police violence that marked the Civil Rights Movement. “Even Dr. King’s assassination did not have...

Now that Seattle has caved to insanity it sets me to thinking this morning. How much insanity, mayhem, and law-breaking will occur when Derek Chauvin goes on trial? How quickly do they dare to present that trial? Might that trial take place BEFORE the November Presidential election? What king of chaos do people here predict may happen during the Chauvin/Floyd murder trial?

The mainstream media over the weekend misrepresented President Trump’s remarks about George Floyd, falsely claiming he suggested Floyd would be “happy” about an uptick in U.S. employment in May. What the president said: President Trump, during a press conference on Friday, spoke about the recently released job report showing that the U.S. added 2.5 million jobs in May after several months of increased unemployment after coronavirus shutdowns. The president called it “probably . . . the greatest comeback in American history.” He then pivoted to the protests against racial inequality, when he mentioned Floyd, whose death sparked nationwide demonstrations.

White Counterprotesters in Franklinville, N.J., Mock George Floyd's Killing The protest in the New Jersey township was similar to those that have unfolded across the United States since George Floyd was killed in police custody: About 70 people gathered to rally against police brutality and systemic racism. But as the diverse group marched along Monday, waving signs and chanting slogans in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, it was met by several white men who had gathered near a sign that said “All Lives Matter” and in front of a pickup truck draped with an American flag and a...

As more of our political elite joins the mobs in the streets to conflate the death of George Floyd with a general indictment of America as a racist and evil nation, black Americans, more than anyone, will suffer. Former President George W. Bush has now weighed in to falsely accuse our nation of "systemic racism." President Bush was born to a life of privilege. Yet he fell victim to alcoholism and turned to faith and religion to take back responsibility and control of his life. Yet he has insufficient respect for black Americans, most of whom are born into circumstances...

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer charged with second degree murder after the death of George Floyd in custody last month, was reportedly negotiating with prosecutors over a possible guilty plea deal in the days leading up to his arrest. The embattled cop, 44, was said to be discussing the specifics of the deal four days after Floyd’s death on Memorial Day. He was arrested a day later after those talks broke down, Fox 9 News reported. Sources told the network the deal would’ve been ‘universal’, and would’ve included state murder charges as well as federal civil rights charges....

Not only did they know each other, but a former coworker says they had a history of friction.

Urban trekking around Denver the other day, I happened across a protest march of maybe a thousand people. Here’s what I observed. The marchers were almost all white. I saw fewer than a dozen black people and no Hispanics. Most were young women looking vaguely guilt-ridden. They were well-dressed, well-groomed and well-fed. I’m not passing judgment, mind you, but just reporting the facts.... But one sign troubled me. It appeared in various incantations, but the gist was “Justice NOW for George.” Are the protesters demanding that we bypass the trial and just lynch the cops right now? What kind of...

A mural in Massachusetts honoring George Floyd has been vandalized. The painting, located at an Interstate 93 underpass in Woburn, outside of Boston, includes a portrait of Floyd with the words “Justice 4 Big Floyd.” But now someone has defaced the mural by scribbling white spray paint across Floyd’s face.
