As mourners in Houston honor the life of George Floyd in Minneapolis, CBS News is learning new details from a nightclub coworker about the history between Floyd and Derek Chauvin, the former officer who is charged in Floyd's death. I believe something is going to come out about this. Some sort of bad business between them.....

Wouldn’t premeditated work against the racial narrative?

Floyd did porn. Chauvin’s wife was a beauty pageant winner. Wife divorces Chauvin immediately after Floyd’s death.

“Wouldn’t premeditated work against the racial narrative?”

Perhaps, but it would mean life in prison.

Honoring the life of George Flynn? A drug abusing felon?

The Derek Chauvin I saw in uniform, with his knee on G. Floyd’s neck does not look like the Derek Chauvin now in custody dressed in prison garb.
I have no idea why that would be the case, if true.

The Chauvin in police uniform had a different hairline and looked about 10 years older than the one in custody.
Even the shape of his head seems longer, as that of a very tall, lanky person. Prison Man Chauvin seems to have a rounder, domed head.

What if it's much more nefarious?

...

For honest people it would, which leaves out the media and Democrats.

As I wrote on an earlier thread, there was buzz out of Minneapolis early on that the nightclub the two worked at was a front for money laundering and counterfeiting. When the club closed, Floyd and Chauvin were laid off. Chauvin still had his police job, but Floyd was poor and desperate and tried to pass a counterfeit bill. Chauvin heard about it on his radio and got there quick, maybe worried that Floyd might spill the beans on the whole operation. And they had a little chat about that.

Anyway, that’s the story. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility. Might be some interesting revelations if and when this gets to trial.

That is much much less convoluted than most mystery shows today.

Lt. Provenza on Major Crimes, says, The husband, always the husband.

Yeah, this meme is desperately needed by the media.

There just is nothing incriminating in the facts.
A hint of personal antipathy would be a big help- and CBS will use all it’s money and influence to produce it.

On the other hand, if he recognized Floyd, and had animosity, and mistreated him because of that, he does deserve life in prison. It would explain his actions, which otherwise seem bizarre

The wife is protecting her share of the family assets from the judgements against Chauvin.

I’m amazed idiots don’t think of that.
Their lawyers would inform them if they are ever in this situation. At 200 dollars an hour.

What if someone dragged some money in front of the owner of the Club that paid him for 17 years (knowing that he had “issues” with Black people) in order to perpetuate a narrative?

How could they have bumped heads if Floyd worked inside the club, and Chauvin was paid, for 17 years, to sit outside in his vehicle?

And if Chauvin was a problem with the ‘black’ clientele, why was he employed for 17 years? Maybe Floyd, who was a recent-hire, was the only problem?

And just how many black customers frequented a Latinx bar, that headlined latinx music and touring acts? And would have been a base for latinx gangs?

The boss is couching and the ‘co-worker’ is lying for social credit points.

I agree - I’ll betting this whole mess has nothing, or very little, to do with racism. I suspect Chauvin planned to murder Floyd, but try to masquerade it as cop killing a criminal who got out of control during arrest. Chauvin was the cop who showed up second, and I suspect the other 3 officers were accomplices.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it had something to do with a woman, or drug money, or something shady.
