Well, since I don’t bother with movie theatres and prefer to buy my DVDs used, I’m content to continue not giving these people any of my money.

These people I either don’t know, don’t care, or never liked much anyway.

Are any of them donating to the families of the 21 blacks that were murdered over the weekend?

Wouldn’t it be easier to list the ones who *haven’t*?

All the usual suspects, most of them though, I’ve never heard of. (rap sucks, no idea who’s doing that) I buy used dvds, haven’t been to a movie in 30 years, haven’t bought a new music cd in at least 20 tears.

I refuse to support these crumbs, don’t have tv either so they literally don’t get a penny here.

And why don’t these idiots donate that money to the people whose years of hard work just went up in smoke? Hell with the destructive creeps out there, support the local businesses...I guess that’s too much for them to comprehend...

Exactly! I recently got a pretty nice 4K setup for my house.I can't believe how much better, and how much cheaper, they are compared to my last TV purchase 10 years ago.

I can,and do,stream youtube videos of African wildlife in 4K that are so lifelike you'd think they're 10 feet away! Now,I don't subscribe to any pay channels on cable,I don't have Netflix or any of those other services and I buy my bluray and 4K discs from ebay...usually at about one-third the "retail" price.

Who needs a movie theater,HBO or Netflix!

8k screens are just now starting to come onto the market. They are pricey of course but they will continue to push down the prices of 4K screens since they will no longer be cutting edge. Down the road I expect 16K to be a thing. I’m old enough to remember when certain certain color console tvs were the cutting edge. :)

Yup,me too.We got out first color set in '65...a Motorola. My Dad let me pick it out at the electronics store in the Center.

Since I was a kid I've loved nature documentaries...especially African wildlife (I've been there several times). The BBC has a series of 4K discs on wildlife and nature that feature image quality that is breathtaking...stunning,in fact. Also youtube has many 4K videos, including African wildlife.

There are at least a few classic films available in 4K as well. It's hard for me to imagine 8K being of any real interest to me...but then I was once thrilled with blurays.
