I posted an advert on Armslist for the last firearm I own. These are tough times for me, I am unemployed and had no reserve fund. Thankfully, I just consummated the sale so now I can rest easy financially. I got a message: "I live in TN but work on GA. .....Would you be willing to sell it to me? Also, can you take pictures and send them to me? Thanks." Well THAT would break the law! My response: "I'm afraid not. .....but the law in Georgia (and perhaps federally) is that in order to sell a firearm in a...

House GOP to Promote Muslim Brotherhood, Gun Control Agenda this Week Daniel Horowitz | July 05, 2016 In case you thought congressional Republicans would be infused with a fresh sense of constitutionalism, patriotism, and moral clarity on the heels of this Independence Day weekend, think again. House Republicans will continue their dyslexic response to Orlando by validating the Left’s entire premise regarding homeland security and guns. Last week, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas (A, 97%) conducted a hearing which revealed that the Department of Homeland Security, at the behest of Muslim Brotherhood organizations, is deleting critical counter-terrorism research that would have...

Once again the American people are being inundated with the fallacy that more restrictive gun control legislation is necessary to protect us and keep us safe. As usual, liberals are doing all they can to take our guns in order to protect us from us, or rather them from the Constitution. We hear that it’s “for the children,” a standard and thoroughly fraudulent claim by the left to divide the country on the 2nd Amendment. The left champion narratives about “assault rifles” and “weapons of war” to instill fear in those who know nothing of firearms. A week ago, congressional...

The FDA is stockpiling military weapons — and it’s not alone AMERICA’S GUN CULTURE has been a subject of intense interest and controversy for years, with concerns frequently raised about shadowy militias, paramilitary extremists, and unstable zealots in possession of alarming quantities of explosives and firearms. Amid the current din over assault weapons and body armor, consider one domestic organization’s fearsome arsenal of military-style equipment. In the space of eight years, the group amassed a stockpile of pistols, shotguns, and semiautomatic rifles, along with ample supplies of ammunition, liquid explosives, gun scopes, and suppressors. In its cache as well are...

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a measure that would ban the city employee retirement system from investing in companies that participate in firearm and ammunition manufacturing. The resolution by the supervisors could have a ripple effect throughout the country as the debate about gun control grows in the wake of a mass shooting in Orlando two weeks ago at a gay nightclub that left 50 people dead and several others injured. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee is trying to gather support nationwide by asking the mayors of both Boston and New York...

And you can be sure I will be setting the alarm from here on out... For those of you on my feed that are telling me that getting a cc permit is not the best choice for me to make, well let me fill you in on a few things that have lead me to this decision. Family members set to inherit a stockpile of guns and ammunition, worth millions of dollars, plan to destroy the weapons "to send a message," their attorney Daniel Brookman told ABC News today. "They want these instruments of death to be destroyed," Brookman said. "They don’t want these weapons out on the street." Jeffrey A. Lash, of Pacific Palisades, California, died last summer of natural causes, but left behind a stockpile of more than 1,500 guns, 6.5 tons of ammunition and nearly $250,000 in cash, according to local ABC-owned station KABC-TV. All of the purchases were legally made, KABC reported.

Vice President Joe Biden released a video Monday urging gun grabbers to keep fighting for a ban on “civilian ownership” of AR-15s, regardless of the Senate vote on gun control. Hours later, gun control was voted down in the Senate, but Biden wants the focus on AR-15s to remain.

The First Rate website Sipsey Street Irregulars posted the following Facebook piece written by Billy Beck. The Coach’s Team brings his brief warning to our readers in its entirety. Billy Beck "You are at war, and your government cannot protect you. The enemy is far too committed and nimble for any of the government's force to turn quickly enough and face any given attack until it's upon you: right there in the same room with you. You must integrate the fact that if the enemy attacks, then *you* are at the front, and you must learn to act with every...

“Pray for Orlando" we read on Facebook and Twitter. Prayer is vitally important, but is there more we can do? As United Methodist Christians, we mourn with the victims and families of those wounded and killed in the shootings on June 12, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. We may even pray and wonder if anything could have been done to avert this heinous act. But should we do more? Is there anything that can be done to keep something similar from happening in the future? While we may not agree on a solution, many of us agree there is a problem....

After the shooting of 9-year-old Za'layia Jenkins, her family, friends and neighbors rallied and marched for peace. It was the children, though, who sent a particularly poignant, powerful message when they joined the rally-cry: "We're fighting for the right to grow up!" In a state where at least 408 children have been gunned down since 1999, we must listen to our children's urgent message, and we must take meaningful action. That is why today, the second-annual National Gun Violence Awareness Day, Wisconsinites from every corner of the state are joining caring people from across the country in rising up and...

___________________________________________________ Please help to ID my "new" weapon. Backstory: I recently received this beautiful Colt's revolver as an early inheritance from my mother's estate. The accepted mythology is this: My stepfather was a navigator on a B-17 and later a B-24 and it is known that he was crew on USAAF battle missions over Jap held islands in the Pacific - throughout the entire Pacific War. What is less known is a little more about this issued firearm. There is no stamping of caliber anywhere on the pistol. On the top of the barrel is a rather careless stamping...

I just brought home my first AR-15, specifically a Ruger AR556. My understanding, based on the condition of AR-15's I've handled and general hearsay from friends who own AR's has always been that AR-15's, generally speaking, like to be well-lubricated. However, the clerk I bought it from said that the AR556 prefers "not a whole lot of oil" and the videos Ruger puts out on the AR556 say not to go ham with the lube as well...This doesn't gel with what other people have told me, and furthermore, I've always erred on the side of keeping my guns quite well-oiled....

I received this disappointing news in a e-mail from AzCDL: HB 2524 Vetoed Today, May 10, Governor Ducey vetoed HB 2524, the AzCDL-requested interstate firearms compact bill. HB 2524 would have prohibited Arizona and other member states from enacting firearm transfer requirements that are more restrictive that existing federal law. In his veto letter Governor Ducey said that he sees “no reason for Arizona to tie ourselves to other state’s decisions on public policy relating to the transfer of firearms.” By agreeing to follow federal law as part of an interstate compact, enactment of HB 2524 would have derailed the...
  • Gun owners should be paranoid about Maine’s background check referendum

In November, Maine’s public will be asked to decide whether lawful owners of firearms should be required to go to a gun dealer, pay a “reasonable fee” and be required to fill out a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Form 4473 to buy or sell a firearm. The referendum’s proponents claim that these requirements are easy, will make us safer, and that this will not be gun registration. Such claims are misleading. Who will determine the amount of this “reasonable fee”? Why should the owner of lawful property, which he or she may have owned for decades, be...

I need some general firearms/ballistics information. I'm working on a criminal defense case. The defendant is accused by the state of shooting his girlfriend in the back of the head with an AR-15 at 10 feet...using a .223 round. The defendant is a real scumbag and knows he's going to the pen over this. BUT, he claims he accidentally discharged the gun, it caromed off of a linoleum-covered concrete floor and then struck her. It all occurred in a very small kitchen. My working hypothesis is that this WAS an accidental shooting and that the bullet DID ricochet off of...

There are some knee-jerk reactions to the seemingly "political correctness run amok" move to put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill, replacing President Andrew Jackson. But the replacing of the slave-owning founder of the Democratic Party with a gun-toting black Republican may spark a political debate worth having and unearth historical truths worth learning. As PJ Media described the announcement: The first woman on United States bank notes will be the famous abolitionist and Republican Harriet Tubman, Politico reported Wednesday. She will give the boot to the nation's sixth president and a major figure in the Democratic Party, Andrew Jackson,...

Gun maker Beretta USA is opening a new factory on Friday, the culmination of generous land and tax offers in Tennessee and restrictive gun laws at its old Maryland location. Beretta USA is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony at the recently built facility in Gallatin, Tennessee, on April 15, having moved all manufacturing from Maryland. The new factory is 160,000 square feet, compared to 115,000 square feet if left behind, said Gabriele de Plano, vice president of defense marketing and operations for Beretta USA. "We've got plenty of space to expand as well," he said.
