I finally made the call to my parents Wednesday night, the call I didn’t want to make, even as the despair and disbelief felt by pretty much everyone I know turned to social-media chatter about the “not my president” protests and recriminations about what could have been done — what, if anything, each of us could have done to avert this dumbfounding moment of what’s next for this country. There is a recurring fantasy among the so-called cosmopolitan elites, perhaps especially urgently felt among those of us who moved to New York from somewhere else that felt too constricted to...

Roland Emmerich has a problem. A very gay problem. You may know Emmerich as the guy that directs ridiculous summer blockbusters where all sorts of landmarks get all sorts of blowed up. Independency Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012. He specializes in wholesale destruction. You might even call it apocalypse-porn. What you might not know is the Emmerich himself is gay, a fact that’s only really been talked about for the last 10 years or so, and even then not so much. He’s made a few donations to gay film organizations, but apart from that the closest thing he’d ever...

Democratic [propaganda is all over the media right now, advocating for the total lifting of the ban on blood donations from "men who have sex with men." It is being treated as a "human rights" and "equality" issue by Democratic politicians, activists and sympathizers. A gay Democratic congressman, Jared Polis of Colorado, is calling for the ban to be lifted. And this: "On Tuesday, six members of the U.S. Congress (led by Representative Mike Quigley of Illinois, who is the vice chairman of the House LGBT Equality Caucus), sent a letter to FDA Commissioner Robert M. Califf requesting the agency...

(A transgender woman is a biological male who identifies as a female.) Also, “56% of black/African American transgender women had positive HIV test results compared to 17% of white or 16% of Hispanic/Latina transgender women,” said the CDC. Black...

Earlier today, SJWs on Twitter managed to get their demands for a gay Captain America to trend. Here's an article: [snip...] The thing about these "let's make this super hero gay" campaigns is that 99.99 percent of everyone calling for it doesn't actually read or watch Super Hero stuff anyway. We're talking about the most neurotic people on Earth who are literally offended by everything. These are the people I met at university who would randomly tell me that they wished their own parents would die. These people merely keep pushing and pushing their bizarre agenda to the point that...

Last week an openly gay man, Eric Fanning, became secretary of the Army. Read that sentence again and contemplate what it reveals about how much and how quickly American society has changed. Only five years ago, openly gay people were barred from serving in its armed forces. During Mr. Fanning’s lengthy confirmation process, his sexual orientation was simply not an issue. That is a tribute to those who fought so hard to repeal the ban, and a measure of the nation’s at times uncertain, but as yet unfailing, march toward equality.

The parties are usually attended by gay men, who are entertained by the 'thrill' of not knowing whether they will be infected or not. The number of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender characters in films released by the seven major Hollywood studios held steady in 2015, but many were included only to be the butt of a joke and an overwhelming majority of them were white or male, according to a new report by GLAAD, formerly known as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. While the overall percentage of such characters in films stayed the same, the advocacy group said in its fourth annual report that a closer look at the data revealed 2015 to have been a less inclusive year on the...

CHICAGO — Federal prosecutors on Friday for the first time provided details of sexual abuse allegations against J. Dennis Hastert, the former speaker of the House, asserting that he molested at least four boys, as young as 14, when he worked as a high school wrestling coach decades ago. Mr. Hastert, 74, is not charged with the incidents of abuse because of statutes of limitation, prosecutors said, but he was accused last year of illegally structuring bank withdrawals for money he was paying to one of his victims in an effort to hide the abuse. He pleaded guilty in October...
