As a state investigator escorted several small children out of a child care center in Minneapolis Wednesday, federal investigators were inside searching files and computers. An FBI spokesman would not comment on the extent of the investigation but confirmed a search warrant was executed at the Salama Child Care Center, 1411 Nicollet Ave. S. Investigators with the Minnesota Department of Human Services were also seen entering and exiting the building but directed all questions to the FBI. Parents trying to drop off their children for daycare were turned away at the door. Investigators were later seen carrying files and computers...

This chart tracks police killings over the last 16 months. Seems the liberal parts of the country are busier at killing police than the rest of the country for the most part. Click here.

According to the FBI, the number of police officers killed in the line of duty nearly doubled from 27 to 51 between 2013 and 2014. That is nearly one murdered police officer a week during 2014, which was also a little over a year after the mainstream media began its coordinated hate campaigns to demonize America’s law enforcement officers.

The FBI had been monitoring the event, even establishing a command post at its Dallas field office, based on concerns about the potential for violence. Drawings such as the ones featured at the event are deemed insulting to many followers of Islam and have sparked violence around the world. Mainstream Islamic tradition holds that any physical depiction of the Prophet Muhammad, even a respectful one, is blasphemous. Comey, making his first public comments on the Sunday shooting, did not disclose steps he said the FBI could have taken to prevent the attack and said those questions were still being evaluated....

Washington (CNN)—Security conditions at U.S. military bases were raised Thursday night, because of growing concern of a jihadist threat in the U.S. It comes hours after FBI Director James Comey raised the prospect there are thousands of ISIS followers online in the U.S. "We have a general concern, obviously, that ISIL is focusing on the uniformed military and law enforcement," Comey told reporters Thursday. The order was signed by Admiral William Gortney, head of the command. "We have the same concern about the potential threat posed by violent homegrown extremists," said Captain Jeff Davis, spokesman for the U.S. Northern Command...

According to a CNN news report, the FBI sent a bulletin to Garland police three hours before a terrorist attack on Pamela Geller's "draw Muhammad" cartoon event. The FBI's warning included a picture of Elton Simpson, one of the suspects who was killed, as well as his license plate number. Police were told that Simpson had expressed interest in the event and that his social media posts were linked to ISIS. According to CNN's Evan Perez, the FBI stated that it had no indication that Simpson was planning an attack or that he was on his way to the...

Elton Simpson (on left) , reportedly tweeted minutes before the attack that he and his fellow assailant had pledged allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The FBI knew Elton Simpson was heading to Garland, Texas. It’s not clear if local authorities were notified. FBI Director James Coomey said they may have missed others. Comey added: “There are “hundreds, maybe thousands” of people across the country who are receiving recruitment overtures or directives to attack the U.S.”

The fallout from the “Deflategate” report released Wednesday remains very much up in the air (sorry), with most informed opinion pointing to at least a several-game suspension for quarterback Tom Brady. The media coverage of the report has focused largely on the highly-qualified language of its conclusion (“more probable than not” that Patriots staff cheated, and that Brady “was at least generally aware”), rather than on the far more damning details of the report. Patriots (and Brady) apologists like to point to this language as an indication that the report doesn’t meet the “beyond a reasonable doubt” standard of proof,...

Blogger, author and activist Pamela Geller told Sean Hannity last night that the FBI has not contacted her despite the fact that ISIS called her out by name for execution. On Tuesday ISIS released this threat: The attack by the Islamic State in America is only the beginning of our efforts to establish a wiliyah in the heart of our enemy. Our aim was the khanzeer Pamela Geller and to show her that we donÂ’t care what land she hides in or what sky shields her; we will send all our Lions to achieve her slaughter. This will heal the hearts...

MuckRock has obtained a whole stack of Stingray-related documents from the FBI. As is to be expected, there's not much left unsaid by the agency, which is at least as protective of its own Stingray secrecy as it is with that of law enforcement agencies all over the US. There's nearly 5,000 pages of "material" here, most of which contains only some intriguing words and phrases surrounded by page after page of redactions. Want to know [REDACTED]'s thoughts on the possible legal implications of Triggerfish? Just close your eyes and allow your imagination to run free. Here's a quick reference...

(CNN)The FBI is investigating a possible ISIS-inspired terrorist threat in the United States, law enforcement officials said Saturday. The investigation originated from intercepted chatter and other intelligence information that led officials to believe a possible plot could be in the works, the officials said. No arrests have been made. It's not clear whether the threat is real or aspirational. The exact nature of the threat couldn't be learned. One official said it focused on parts of California where officials stepped up security, a U.S. official said.

Despite the growing menace and media savvy of the terrorist Islamic group ISIS, the FBI appears to be, once again, failing in its investigative and enforcement responsibilities. The agency that let us down with 9/11 and, afterward, reacted mainly in a flurry of political correctness and appeasement toward Muslims is now trying to reassure the American public that we have nothing to fear from ISIS on the North American continent. This despite warnings from the nonprofit Judicial Watch of ISIS activism in Mexico, and recent ISIS-related arrests in Minnesota. More is needed from the nation's top domestic intelligence and security...

James B. Comey, the director of the FBI, at 6-foot-8, is the tallest man in the Obama administration. Despite his height and position, he emerged in sharp relief in the public eye only this week for a remarkable speech at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington about why he requires every new special agent and intelligence analyst to visit the museum. "Naturally, I want them to learn about abuse of authority on a breathtaking scale," he said. "But I want them to confront something more painful and more dangerous: I want them to see humanity and what we are...

PARIS -- The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation seems to be dreaming of foreign lands. Poland, to be exact. Circa World War II. In an article for the Washington Post adapted from a speech at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, FBI Director James Comey wrote, "In their minds, the murderers and accomplices of Germany, and Poland, and Hungary, and so many, many other places didn't do something evil. They convinced themselves it was the right thing to do, the thing they had to do." Oh, but what's the harm in picking at the historical scabs of an...

Documents obtained by The Daily Caller and interviews with American veterans reveal a shocking government program: The Department of Veterans Affairs is disarming America’s veterans by getting them placed on the FBI’s criminal background-check list. The VA sends veterans’ personal medical and financial information directly to the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, which can seize their guns in home raids. Veterans deemed mentally incompetent or financially incapable are finally speaking out about the errors in the system and the fearful harassment they and their families face from the federal government. And it all starts when vets...

Yesterday, the New York Post ran my investigative report on a very cold case: the mortal wounding of NYPD Patrolman Phillip Cardillo inside Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam Mosque #7 in Harlem in April, 1972. The “Harlem Mosque Incident” would become one of the most controversial cases in NYPD history—a tale of betrayal and cover-up, race and politics, played out across a disintegrating city. I’m grateful to the Post for getting behind a story that raises the disturbing possibility that the FBI was deeply involved in the events surrounding Cardillo’s death. Due to space limitations at the newspaper, some of...

‘They came with a battering ram.” Cindy Archer, one of the lead architects of Wisconsin’s Act 10 — also called the “Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill,” it limited public-employee benefits and altered collective-bargaining rules for public-employee unions — was jolted awake by yelling, loud pounding at the door, and her dogs’ frantic barking. The entire house — the windows and walls — was shaking. She looked outside to see up to a dozen police officers, yelling to open the door. They were carrying a battering ram. She wasn’t dressed, but she started to run toward the door, her body in full...
