Documents obtained by The Daily Caller and interviews with American veterans reveal a shocking government program: The Department of Veterans Affairs is disarming America’s veterans by getting them placed on the FBI’s criminal background-check list.
The VA sends veterans’ personal medical and financial information directly to the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, which can seize their guns in home raids.
Veterans deemed mentally incompetent or financially incapable are finally speaking out about the errors in the system and the fearful harassment they and their families face from the federal government. And it all starts when vets go to the VA to get medical help.

I immediately thought of Nazi Germany when I saw this article!!
I am not surprised at the least, worst thing is no one will do anything about it because most republican leaders want to disarm us too.
It should be noted, just for historical purposes, that gun control in Germany actually started around 1922 (years before Hitler and the Nazis arrived in Berlin).
The general fear after WW I....was that a Communist revolution would occur in Germany, and that all the guns/weapons brought back by former Army members were going to be a problem. So the Reichstag made the first gun control measures...backing it up again around six to seven years later with another law. The only significant measure that the Nazis added (the cherry on the cake, so to speak, which comes after 1930) was a law that required all gunsmiths to maintain a maintenance log with serial numbers of guns they repaired and the names of the owners.
I once went to the VA for assistance and was (rather rudely) turned away.
Now I see that I was fortunate.
what’s with “financially incapable”? since when is poverty a disqualifier for gun ownership?
How unfortunate it is that we have devolved into a country where we train our young men to kill and defend the homes and lives of people in other countries and then deny them the right to defend their own families at home.
This will not have a good ending.

If you say 1 word about PSTD this is what will happen. Instead of helping a Veteran, they steal from him.

If you say PTSD you get fed into the data base and lose your 2nd amend right. The other criteria is even worse, “financially incapable” what does that mean?

“Financially incapable” simply means the person is incapable of managing their own finances. Another individual then must be appointed as guardian/conservator to oversee and manage their finances.
Amazing...the VA hates Veterans. It either murders them through neglect or disarms them.
I was a Platoon and Det commandeer in an MI BDE and then an INF BDE.
Our CO and BN CO ORDERED recently returned vets into mandatory counseling when it became available. I told them "Guys, I'm ordered to tell you to attend these meetings, but my advice is for you NOT to go because you'll be put on a "list", and it won't do you any good". Anyways, I talked to the PSG about it and he was on the last deployment (I wasn't), and he laughed and said that NO ONE saw a drop of blood since they were MI. NO tours outside the wire, no convoys, not in any arty/mortar/indirect fire instances....in fact no one in the unit got CABs except for the 4 counter intel guys running around with CIA/SAD SOG/DEVGRU/SOF dressed as arabs.
Anyways, my enlisted said, "Yo LT, its FREE MONEY. We WANT to go to PTSD meetings and get more money".
I tried to explain to them that if they really, REALLY needed PTSD counseling to go and get it, but according to the PSG, they all were in AC bunkers and tents running our TUAVs (Shadows/Predators/Ravens/Hunters).
I knew back then (2003-2005) that NO GOOD would come of "mandatory PTSD training. Glad I never signed up for it.
On my “share medical information page” with any doctor I see I write in specifically that none of my information is to be shared with any government agency.

To Valarie Jarrett and Eric Holder, it means any white, Christian, Republican, gun owning former veteran E-1 through E-7 paygrade.
The country has degenerated in the past 6 years.
