Washington (CNN)Security conditions at U.S. military bases were raised Thursday night, because of growing concern of a jihadist threat in the U.S.
It comes hours after FBI Director James Comey raised the prospect there are thousands of ISIS followers online in the U.S.
"We have a general concern, obviously, that ISIL is focusing on the uniformed military and law enforcement," Comey told reporters Thursday.
The order was signed by Admiral William Gortney, head of the command.
"We have the same concern about the potential threat posed by violent homegrown extremists," said Captain Jeff Davis, spokesman for the U.S. Northern Command which oversees all U.S. military installations in the continental U.S.

The poor, misunderstood muslims would have just let us alone but, no, Geller inflamed them with her hate event. </wackolib>
Obama loves this and will push it for all control he can get
The ever tolerant isis/isil/is here in the states? Nah, we got control of our borders. Oh, never mind.
So does this mean that our troops can now carry sidearms on base, or are they all still being treated like little kiddies?
Will servicemen now be permitted to carry sidearms while on base? Or does this alert just mean everyone should review their “shelter in place” directives?
Pamela Geller woke some brain dead Americans up. Her show only pointed out what ISIS had already in the planning stage to attack America. Takes a real catastrophe to wake some ignorant up. Most of Americans are still not ready.
Meanwhile, Team Valerie has her media sycophants saying the ISIS threat is not really that bad.
They all still being treated like GUN FREE ZONE TARGETS.
I agree...
Some might not have liked how she brought it about...but it smokes them out and I hope there are more to do like wise.

Active Duty ping.
Obama’s Jade Helm will step in and save us all. That boy is a genius level strategist.
Someone I know says Bravo means all military bases will increase security to the point every person coming into the base will be more thoroughly scrutinized and any person walking around on the base can be questioned. Any person or thing that shows up that is not exactly normal, will be investigated on the spot. Every person on the base will be looking for anything unusual.
PING!
AHH ISIS I wouldn’t with Texans if I were you LOL!
Yeah but our FERAL Goobermint just came back this morning and cleared these two mooslimbs and said they were not connected to ISIS because they were not in Obama’s Ipad.
So I guess Obama will call a goat humping summit with ISIS head humpers and see what he can do about the leak of the 71 ISIS head jobs in the US.
Someone’s head is going to role over that one......
The concept is devilishly simple and diabolical in its concept. Freeper Liberty Valance recommended http://www.amazon.com/Day-Wrath-William-R-Forstchen-ebook/dp/B00MU1NNRO/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1431106637&sr=1-1&keywords=day+of+wrath on another thread. I looked it over and picked it up. Its not long, a novella, 144 pages and can be read in an evening. Its extremely disturbing. I won't write a book report on it You can look for your selves. Just think Beslan on steroids. You not be interested in war but war may be interested in you. Wake up.
Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) are usually at level Alpha+ for routine ops. Local commanders have the authoritah to increase that level at their discretion.
During the last scuffle with the Norks, local bases in PACCOM upped the ante to Bravo+ in several areas, even as high as Charlie in one location (Osan).
Any across-the-board rise is indicative of solid intel on a threat. I will be checking later to see what I can find out...
Agreed. DAY OF WRATH is a MUST read but a very disturbing modern day it could happen book.
Ping for your interest.
