Facebook is getting more and more backlash from the pro-life movement over its censorship of pro-life content. Now the social media giant is censoring another story — this time it’s one exposing a company that was found to be hauling away boxes of babies killed in late-term abortions. Dozens of LifeNews readers notified us today that they had problems sharing the important story on Facebook. Already, tens of thousands of readers have been informed about a new company working with a late-term abortion clinic processing it’s “medical waste,” which is the bodies of unborn babies killed in abortions up to...

America's founding document might be too politically incorrect for Facebook, which flagged and removed a post consisting almost entirely of text from the Declaration of Independence. The excerpt, posted by a small community newspaper in Texas, apparently violated the social media site's policies against hate speech. Since June 24, the Liberty County Vindicator of Liberty County, Texas, has been sharing daily excerpts from the declaration in the run up to July Fourth. The idea was to encourage historical literacy among the Vindicator's readers. The first nine such posts of the project went up without incident. "But part 10," writes Vindicator...

Facebook on Wednesday confirmed that it is bringing in two outside advisers to help it run an audit of the platform's effect on communities of color and to offer advice on the social media giant's alleged bias against conservatives. The new advisers come shortly after Facebook dealt with reports uncovering how its ad platform could allow discrimination and charges from Republican lawmakers that Facebook censors conservative opinions. The so-called civil rights audit, which was first reported by Axios, will be led by the Director of the ACLU's Washington Legislative Office, Laura Murphy. D.C.-based law firm Relman, Dane & Colfax will...

Since the 2016 election Facebook has been cracking down on conservative and pro-Trump content. Top conservative websites have seen a stunning drop in their Facebook traffic. This was no accident. This was the plan. In January 2017, Facebook began making algorithm changes to make sure conservative news was no longer so influential. The Gateway Pundit Facebook traffic has consistently decreased with each algorithm change. A March 2018 study by The Outline organization found conservative publishers were hit the hardest by Facebook algorithm changes. The study also showed that The Gateway Pundit was hit the hardest. In March 2018 Western Journal...

One of our moderators received an email from Facebook saying: Hello, One of our team members accidentally removed something you’ve posted on Facebook. This was a mistake and we apologise for it. The content has been restored and you should be able to see it again. The Facebook-Team The email referenced a Voice of Europe post which was removed in which former Czech president Vaclav Klaus said that the ‘Migrant influx is comparable to the barbarian invasions of Europe’. While Russia Today posted a similar article with the same title, it wasn’t removed or censored on their timeline.

As you have probably already noticed, Facebook is going through dramatic changes. Now, they are about to roll out massive updates to its newsfeed that will dramatically change the type of content you see Facebook is going to focus on your nexus of family and friends, in addition to a list of what they label “trusted sources.” Those “trusted sources” aren’t based on what you trust, but what they trust. They claim the pages will be based on “diverse and representative” criteria determined by sample pools of Facebook users. But no one – except Facebook itself – knows just what...

With more than 2 billion users, Facebook's reach now rivals that of Christianity and exceeds that of Islam. However, the network's laser focus on profits and user growth has come at the expense of its users, according to one former Facebook manager who is now speaking out against the social platform. "One of the things that I saw consistently as part of my job was the company just continuously prioritized user growth and making money over protecting users," the ex-manager, Sandy Parakilas, who worked at Facebook for 16 months, starting in 2011, told NBC News. During his tenure at Facebook,...

Facebook is facing more censorship and bias allegations from a Christian group that opposes abortion. The West Virginia-based ministry Warriors for Christ repeatedly has had its Facebook pages removed by the social media giant, according to the Christian Post. Its main page, which has more than 225,000 followers, was removed again last week, allegedly for “hateful, threatening or obscene” content. Ministry leader Pastor Rich Penkoski told the Post that they missed out on vital opportunities to help people as a result. “When Facebook pulled our page [for the first time], we were actually counseling with a young woman who was...

Just hours after they removed her 50,000-strong group, “Stop Islamization Of America,” Facebook has issued prominent Islam critic Pamela Geller with a 30-day ban. Geller, who has previously been targeted for assassination by ISIS due to her criticism of Islam, was banned for a comment criticizing President Obama for neglecting to mention Islam or Muslims in his comments on yesterday’s terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida.

Facebook workers routinely suppressed news stories of interest to conservative readers from the social network’s influential “trending” news section, according to a former journalist who worked on the project. This individual says that workers prevented stories about the right-wing CPAC gathering, Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, and other conservative topics from appearing in the highly-influential section, even though they were organically trending among the site’s users. Several former Facebook “news curators,” as they were known internally, also told Gizmodo that they were instructed to artificially “inject” selected stories into the trending news module, even if they weren’t popular enough to warrant...
