Andy Biggs (R-Az) said the "integrity of his appointment" was in question due to Mueller's friendship with ousted FBI Director James Comey. The Democratic National Committee raised nearly $4.3 million in May, making it the organization's worst May on record for fundraising since 2003, according to newly released Federal Election Commission data. In May 2003, the Democratic group pulled in $2.7 million. Although 2017 is an off-year for fundraising, the DNC has raised between $4.5 million and $20 million every May in the nearly decade and a half since then. The low number follows another rough fundraising month in April, in which the group hauled in $4.7 million, making it the worst April of fundraising since 2009.

President Trump may make significant changes to White House press briefings. The New York Times reported on Tuesday that the president is considering limiting the number of briefings to once a week. It also alleges he’s thinking about requesting reporters submit written questions to the White House in advance. That same day Press Secretary Sean Spicer held his first on-camera briefing in more a week amid rumors he may be replaced in a staff shake up. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Twelve employees of a Democrat-linked group focused on mobilizing black voters in Indiana are accused of submitting fake or fraudulent voter registration applications ahead of last year’s general election in order to meet quotas, according to charging documents filed Friday.
