  • Clinton, like Trump, makes play for voters of the opposite party

PHILADELPHIA — Talk about heartburn for diehard Bernie Sanders supporters. On the night that Hillary Clinton accepted the Democratic nomination for president, her party featured two Republican speakers who talked about their intent to vote for Clinton this fall against Republican nominee Donald Trump. A former White House aide to Ronald Reagan, Doug Elmets, and a health policy worker at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Jennifer Pierotti Lim, both told the convention hall of Democrats and a primetime national TV audience why they’re voting for Clinton. Elmets said it was “a shock” to be speaking at the Democratic convention, but...
  • Clinton Campaign Turned Down FBI Help After Cyberattack Warning

    07/29/2016 11:22:13 AM PDT · by hotsteppa · 21 replies
The FBI warned Hillary Clinton's campaign that it was the target of a cyberattack five months ago, but was spurned in its attempt to investigate, Yahoo News reported. The Bureau back in March detailed for the Clinton campaign how it was being targeted and requested logs and contact info to investigate, but was turned away. The campaign allegedly thought the request for sensitive material was too intrusive, especially given the ongoing investigation into Hillary's private email server.
  • Chelsea Clinton hits the stage at the DNC in a $2,215 Roland Mouret dress

Hillary Clinton may be a monochrome pantsuit kind of gal, but her daughter Chelsea Clinton clearly can't resist a pretty dress. The 36-year-old introduced her mom at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night in a figure-hugging Roland Mouret sheath, which she picked out in a bright red hue that was sure to make a stand out. The $2,215 dress — which was also worn in May by actress Jessica Alba — showed that the mother-of-two has truly come a long way since her awkward teen years during her first time around in the White House.
  • Glenn Beck, Erick Erickson Plot to Subvert the Will of the People to Elect Romney

Appearing on Glenn Beck’s radio show on Wednesday, Never Trump leader Erick Erickson mused on yet another scheme to foist Mitt Romney on the American electorate this year. If one can wade through Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson discussing wild-eyed conspiracy theories involving GOP nominee Donald Trump and Russia and their claims that they are among the few remaining Americans who still believe in the Constitution, you will hear some serious crazy as Beck, his co-hosts, and Erickson elaborate on a strategy to derail the GOP nominee and throw the November Presidential election to the House of Representatives to decide....
  • VIDEO: CNN Wolf Blitzer drinks wine, dances to celebrate Hillary’s nomination

Maybe they were happy it was over, or maybe they were celebrating “history” being made — as they repeated all week — by their preferred candidate. Regardless, cameras captured CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer and Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger drinking wine and dancing with delegates as “Sweet Caroline” played over the loud speakers at the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention. CNN aired video of the two taking it all in: Blitzer with a glass of white wine in his hand, and Borger clapping and singing along.

Great America PAC’s latest powerful TV spot titled “The Difference.” The ad features Dr. Dorothy Woods, widow of Ty Woods, the former Navy SEAL who was killed during the 2012 attacks in Benghazi. In the ad, Woods calls out Hillary Clinton’s disgraceful dismissal of the true origins of the attack during a congressional hearing, then she calls for a leader we can trust - Donald Trump.
  • Pence Mocks Hillary for Speech That Put Her Husband to Sleep

As Katie noticed, Bill Clinton couldn't stay awake during his wife's historic speech at the Democratic National Convention Thursday night. Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine even felt the need to try and block the camera from noticing the embarrassing moment. Donald Trump's running mate Mike Pence told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Friday that would never happen to the GOP nominee's audience. "Let me assure you, having been on the road with Donald Trump most of this week, there would never be a need for an elbow," Pence said. "I’ve never been around anybody who’s more energetic, more determined, more focused....

  • HILLARY BOMBS! Trump’s Speech 65 Times More Popular than Hillary’s Speech on YouTube

Bad news for Hillary. Almost NOBODY wants to watch a replay of her speech online consisting of monotone, robotic delivery of pro-Globalist, tax and spend, radical socialist propaganda. The proof is in the numbers. Let’s compare. As of now, Hillary’s Speech on the CNN YouTube Channel only has an unbelievably pathetic 4,905 views. Compare this to Donald Trump’s Speech on the Fox News YouTube Channel , which currently has 321,030 views, 65 times more than Hillary. The bottom line is Trump is exciting and interesting to watch. He is leading a political revolution to put America first again. In contrast,...
  • DNC Delegate Demands Chants of 'USA' Be Stopped Because It's a Trump Thing

During the DNC convention in Philadelphia this week, Hillary Clinton was booed by Bernie Sanders supporters, American flags were burned by protestors and a moment of silence for police officers murdered in the line of duty was rudely interrupted by chants of "Black Lives Matter!."On the floor of the convention Wednesday night, Fox News anchor Shannon Bream reported a delegate yelling at those chanting "USA! USA!" to stop because it's a "Trump chant." Crowd chanting "USA! USA!" Delegate in front of me stands up and yells, "Stop that! That's a Trump chant!" #DNCinPHL— Shannon Bream (@ShannonBream) July 28, 2016 Speeches...
  • Where are the polls for Hillary's speech?

If I'm not mistaken, CNN did a poll immediately following Trump's speech last week, which by the way showed that people who watched the speech viewed it very favorably. So my question, where is the poll for Hillary's speech? Are the CNN pollsters on vacation this week or maybe they decided they need to give the public a day or two to soak up the Hillary love fest in the MSM before polling them? I think it's safe to say, if the results were good they would have been published.
  • Ratings: Democratic Convention Down From RNC's Closing Night

The Big 3’s coverage of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday totaled 10.2 million viewers and a 2.5 demo rating, on par with Night 3 yet down from the RNC’s Night 4 (12.3 mil/2.6). The prelim numbers are also down sharply from broadcast-TV’s coverage of the closing night of the 2012 DNC (14.7 mil/4.1, where NBC started at 9/8c).

At that crucial moment, it occurred to me that the only way for me to have even a chance of protecting myself and my children against an armed intruder was with a gun. I understand that many people are uncomfortable with an armed teacher, but many are not uncomfortable with an armed guard. Those who want to protect the children from "gun violence" say the chance of tragedy is so slim that it is not worth the risk of a teacher carrying a gun. But if the chance of tragedy is so slim, why even pass these laws? "Because if...
  • Before Hillary's Big Night, Obama Makes His Case For...A Third Term

    07/29/2016 8:24:18 AM PDT · by yoe · 9 replies
HILADELPHIA — When President Obama spoke Wednesday night on Hillary Clinton's behalf, he was no doubt sincere about wanting her in the White House. After all, Clinton is his greatest hope to see his policies and legacy continued. This isn't unusual for presidents. But in this case, Obama represents the most radical break with the norms of the American presidency — with the possible exception of FDR — and his legacy is riding on it. ObamaCare. Dodd-Frank. A massive regulatory burden on American business. Climate policies based on questionable science. Taxes on entrepreneurs and small business. A war on America's energy...
  • Why Voting for Donald Trump Is a Morally Good Choice

Some of my Christian friends tell me they can’t in good conscience vote for Donald Trump because, when faced with a choice between “the lesser of two evils,” the morally right thing is to choose neither one. They recommend voting for a third-party or write-in candidate. As a professor who has taught Christian ethics for 39 years, I think their analysis is incorrect. Now that Trump has won the GOP nomination, I think voting for Trump is a morally good choice. American citizens need patience with each other in this difficult political season. Close friends are inevitably going to make...

It's finally, blessedly over. As expected, Hillary Clinton's anticlimactic acceptance speech capped off a Democratic convention at which two of the weakest primetime speeches were delivered by the the two members of the nominated ticket. There were powerful moments earlier in the evening -- including an impactful address by the father of a Muslim US soldier who paid the ultimate sacrifice for his country in Iraq, and an address from a valorous Medal of Honor recipient, who was shamefully heckled by some DNC delegates. But when the lights shone brightest, we got a perfectly nice little talk by Chelsea Clinton,...
  • How Democrats became the party of ‘safe socialism’

    07/29/2016 7:48:33 AM PDT · by ChicagoConservative27 · 20 replies
The Democratic Party has perhaps never been so radical or so conventional. The Democrats are now to the left of President Obama and desperately trying to placate the teary-eyed, obstreperous, wholly unrealistic shock troops of the Bernie Sanders Revolution, yet they’re also portraying themselves as the party of sobriety and traditional political norms. This year, Democrats want to fight the man and be the man, and running against Donald Trump, they might manage the feat. The Sanders delegates — by all appearances, the kind of people who typically work the giant puppets at street protests rather than serve as delegates...

“Growth is up only 1.2% year over year. This report was very weak, and this report supports our forecast of a coming U.S. recession. Industrial production data convey that we are in a recession right now. We still expect a slowing of U.S. growth in the second half of the year as lower oil prices affect oil and gas credit and financial players. At the same time, we also expect light-vehicle sales are likely to slow, due to oversized used lease fleets crowding out new vehicle sales, as well as a reduction in new issuance of subprime auto loans. We...
