To 133 - The lies, smears, and attacks are expected from the Left, not from "fellow conservatives".
And cease with the false assertion that she is being treated like a Saint, that is nonsense. People admire Palin because she is a personification of their belief and value structure, cultural as well as political.
Bob, have you never got excited listening to a Reagan speech? I have, often, and Palin elicits the same reaction.
Sarah Palin shares with Ronald Reagan a deep, unabashed love for this country and both were/are more than happy to express it. On the issues, Palin is most comparable to Reagan, or Helms.
She is the only potential GOP 2012 candidate challenging Obama and his decisions on a regular basis. All this and the lady still has that 'pesky' habit of remaining humble, realizing she is nothing without her faith in God.

Whether you, others in the GOP, or third party advocates like it or not she is presently the de facto leader of the Right and in the future, hopefully near future, she will be POTUS.
So suck it up and accept the inevitable; cease misrepresenting Palin and those who support her.

And Bob, have a GREAT day!

... Preparations for a presidential visit began earlier in the week when an advance security team came to Smith Center to do preliminary security checks. Early Saturday morning, the day of the game, the U.S. Secret Service began sweeping the building and installing the necessary security measures, including metal detectors at entrances and a makeshift tunnel covering the entrance used by the first family that extended into the center of F Street.

All the while, GW administrators said they were not truly certain whether the president would attend until he actually showed up.

Once the Obamas arrived at the game, they were greeted in the tunnel by University President Steven Knapp and his family and posed with them for photographs.

Knapp said he “reconnected” with the president and first lady after having met them during previous trips to campus. Knapp presented Obama with a Colonials practice jersey, shorts and a basketball signed by all the members of the team.

“I think he appreciated getting that,” Knapp said.

At the conclusion of the game, coaches and players from both teams lined up to greet the president, first lady and first lady’s mother, all of whom leaned over a guard rail to shake hands. After GW head coach Karl Hobbs thanked Obama and his family for attending the game over the public address system - the first public acknowledgement of their attendance - the family exited through the same gate they entered, again greeting and shaking hands with those they passed. ... excerpted from GWHatchet, school paper

The local AM news had something about this today. Many of these jobs were for road paving contracts that lasted anywhere from 30 - 90 days. Now the people who were hired by the paving companies are being laid off again. The greatest number of these jobs were temporary, not permanent.

How does it feel to break a glass ceiling? How does it feel to “win”? How does your family feel about your “winning” breaking a glass ceiling? Who will be your VP? Should you choose Hillary Clinton as VP? Will you accept public finance? What issues is your campaign about? Will you visit Iraq? Will you debate McCain at a town hall? What did you think of your competitor’s [Clinton] speech?

    Gibson Palin interview:

Do you have enough qualifications for the job you’re seeking? Specifically have you visited foreign countries and met foreign leaders? Aren’t you conceited to be seeking this high level job? Spirited: The circle must be made complete before we can clearly see it as a circle and not merely an arc. That said, consider the following quote from “In the Shadow of Leviathan....http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2377776/posts

“The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia,” notes Mishin, “and a bloody test it was.”

Who financed the bloody test? “Wall Street,” says Mishin.

In his book “The Naked Capitalist,” W. Cleon Skousen exposes the unholy alliance of bankers and capitalists collectively defined as “Wall Street” by Mishin. Skousen verifies his findings through the writings of Dr. Carroll Quigley, both a professor of history at the Foreign Service School at Georgetown University and mentor to Bill Clinton. In his opus, “Tragedy and Hope,” Quigley deliberately reveals one of the world’s best-kept secrets: the existence of a gigantic leviathan of political and economic power poised to seize control of the planet.

The gargantuan power complex says Quigley, has been - right from the start - controlling Marxist-Communist-Socialist groups,

“...the power that...Left-wingers exercised was never their own power or communist power but...the power of the international financial coterie.” (p. 954, Tragedy and Hope)

Why did Quigley expose the existence of the global financial coterie? Because he says, it is now too late for the little people to turn the tide. He urges them to not fight the noose that is already around their necks, for they will only hang themselves.

“On the other hand, those who go along with the immense pressure which is beginning to be felt by all humanity will eventually find themselves in a man-made millennium of peace and prosperity.” (Skousen, The Naked Capitalist, pp. 4-6) See the funders here: http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/guideDes c.asp?type=funder

Today, there is at least one well-respected ‘right-wing’ website that refuses to publish “In the Shadow....” Why? Because of the “Wall Street” connection. Supposedly, Wall Street is on the side of traditional values America. And while there yet remain many business leaders who are loyal to traditional values America, a check of Horowitz’s website, DiscovertheNetwork/Funders will reveal the extent to which powerful Wall Street insiders support a globalist NWO, which means that very large numbers of Americans unknowingly work for and spend their hard-earned dollars in businesses that are betraying all of us.

For example: Do you buy Playboy? Use porn? Then you are unwittingly financing the destruction of traditional values America. Is your favorite soft-drink Coca Cola? Coke, along with 100 other Wall Street insiders is spearheading a drive to impose a global tax on Americans. Again, check out Horowitz’s website.

Our Republic’s founders warned that only a well-informed, virtuous people—people characterized by impulse control-— can be a free people.

Truth is often bitter, and the bitter truth is that moral corruption and ignorance rather than virtue and true knowledge characterizes the majority of Americans today. And as corrupt people are characterized by lack of impulse control,-—their eyes are bigger than their stomachs, wallets, etc-—they naturally elect leaders who likewise lack impulse control in order to ‘get what they want.’ Consider for example, the voters who keep Barney Franks in office.

And now the connection between corrupt leaders-—including corrupt educationists-— and corrupt bankers-Wall Street insiders comes into focus, for it’s insider Wall Street corporatists and bankers who market the addictive vices, ie. porn, sex, McMansions for ‘everyone,’ etc. Meanwhile, corrupt media floods the airwaves with seductive vice and propaganda, corrupt educationists dumb Americans down, and corrupt politicians, jurists, etc. obligingly redefine vice as ‘new rights,’——modernity’s version of yesterday’s ‘bread and circuses.’ Voila! A manipulable ‘barbarian constituency motivated by destructive impulses’-—a weapon of both destruction and control-— has been created by globalists who wield it against traditional values forces and America itself.

I don't know if Sarah Palin is ready to be President, but it is true that the current occupant of that office has lowered the bar rather considerably.

Instead, Ms. Palin's chief contribution from my point of view has been to become a visible symbol of conservative resurgence and most importantly, she drives liberals stark, raving, foaming-at-the-mouth mad. And that makes me smile.

No rest for White House party czar - Social director has hosted 50 events in 60 days
    Chicago Sun-Times (IL) - Sunday, April 12, 2009
Author: Kate Andersen, The Chicago Sun-Times

Desiree Rogers went from herding 160 middle-schoolers to an a capella concert in the White House East Room to seating 50 governors at a black-tie dinner.

    (snip)

While the United States is mired in recession, the White House entertainment scene is booming under Rogers , the 49-year-old social secretary who was a Chicago friend of the Obamas.

In her first 60 days at President Obama’s White House, Rogers has coordinated more than 50 events — twice as many as President Bush held during the same period of his first term. The Obama effort surpasses even the pace of the party-loving Clinton White House, says Dee Dee Myers, who was President Bill Clinton’s press secretary.

“Glamor is a force-multiplier,” says Myers. “The Obamas are creating a sense of optimism and fun.”

    (snip)

A fashionista — she has worn trendy black nail polish to White House events — Rogers was recently declared “Washington’s best-dressed woman” by the Huffington Post.

She’s in charge of planning all events on White House grounds, from bill signings and Cabinet appointments to cocktail parties and state dinners. The first African-American to hold the position, she’s making her mark by defying tradition in her duties, as well: for example, mixing and matching china from different eras at formal dinners and including Republicans in every congressional event.

Rogers , who met the president and first lady through her ex-husband, says her job is more than planning seating charts and hors d’oeuvres. “President Obama wants to show that, even though we might disagree on issues, it is so important to develop relationships,” she says.

    (snip)

Some critics, though, question how appropriate the festivities are with the nation going through an economic slump. The president should show a “certain amount of humility and shared sacrifice with the American public,” says Steve Ellis, vice president of Taxpayers for Common Sense, a nonpartisan budget-watchdog group in Washington.

Rogers says there’s a serious purpose to the partying. She’s helping Obama fulfill a pledge to reach out to Republicans.

“I think that the environment is so important in terms of what kind of relationships you might be able to create, how people get to know each other,’’ she told the Washington Post. “I’m from New Orleans, and I know that people do like to sit and talk and drink and, you know, have conversation, you have dialogue.”

I's worse than that. These high paying gubmint jobs are really redistribution in disguise. Registered Republicans are exempt, as are qualified white males. They are just like the college grants given to unqualified applicants to increase "diversity", which mostly results in the applicant not being able to keep up and eventually dropping out. However, since gubmint jobs require no real work, they don't have to drop out, they just keep getting that gubmint paycheck and gold plated benefits package - all at our expense.

I heard Michael Moore’s letter read by a local talk radio host and could not believe it! It was so filled with hate toward anyone that doesn’t believe everything he does.

I wonder if he even realizes that if Dumbo has his way Mr. Moore will be giving up the millions and millions he made from his movies ~ surely some poor family somewhere can use Michael’s fancy cars and his mansion....that’s how Dumbo thinks and Moore’s too stupid to even realize it.

I do think he’s right about one thing ~ namely that there are people on the left that will be ‘done with Obama’ over this. To that I say good! Maybe by the time 2012 rolls around the whole country will have realized the Emperor has no clothes!

She represents their total loss of power to control your life. That REALLY bothers them. Have you ever noticed how absolutely FREAKED OUT leftists get over the concept of state secession? Again, same reason - secession would totally negate their ability to control the people of the separated state.

Another reason she drives liberals crazy is on the cosmic battle level - she is one of God’s warriors, and both those who are for Him and those against Him recognize this on some level.

2 C-17’s flying three missions, 3 Lear jets, 5 Helicopters, Presidential Motorcade, 44 Marines, more than 20 USSS personnel on our plane. Who knows what it cost the NYPD and NY Port Authority (at the airport) in overtime.

Welcome to my world. I've been trying to keep track of him...

On Tuesday, the President will address the nation at 8:00 PM EST from the United States Military Academy at West Point on Afghanistan.

On Wednesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Thursday, the President will hold a Forum on Jobs and Economic Growth at the White House. The forum will be an opportunity for the President and the economic team to hear from some of the best and brightest CEOs, small business owners, and financial experts about ideas for continuing to grow the economy and put Americans back to work.

On Thursday evening, Mrs. Obama will join the President at the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation's annual National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held on the Ellipse at 5:00 PM EST.

On Friday, the President will visit Allentown, Pennsylvania to kick off a White House to Main Street Tour that will take him to cities and towns across the country over the course of the next few months. In an effort to spend some time out of Washington, the White House to Main Street Tour will serve as an opportunity for the President to visit communities across the country over the next several months where he will speak with workers and share ideas for continued economic recovery. - The White House

Here is the disclaimer, showing the "estimate" is not based on any factual data, but on "how previous similar policies have affected the economy and various mathematical models."

This means, "We know it's totel BS, but we figure you are all stupid enough to swallow it."

"Those folks ... begin to look for ways to accommodate their enemies,” Cheney said."

"“I begin to get nervous when I see the commander in chief making decisions apparently for what I would describe as small ‘p’ political reasons, where he’s trying to balance off different competing groups in society,” Cheney said."

Well said, quotes of the week. But... I think Cheney should have been a little more telling of measures taken to stop Obama instead of just going on to talk about further elections.

I guess that Obama is immune because Obama has succeeded only in playing the race card.

If Obama drops and stays below 40% I am betting he wont choose to run in 2012.. which would be a disaster for us possibly since we wouldn't be running against his record.

And if Hillary stepped forward.... *shudder*
