Federal prosecutors say a Missouri mother should serve three years in prison for her role in a MySpace hoax on a 13-year-old neighbor girl who committed suicide. The government outlined its position in court documents filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. The filing comes after probation officials recommended Lori Drew should be placed on probation for one year and fined $5,000. Prosecutors say Drew violated MySpace service rules by helping create a fictitious teen boy on the social networking site and sending flirtatious messages in his name to Megan Meier, a neighbor in suburban St. Louis.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center will stop using police officers to subdue agitated psychiatric patients, responding to threats from federal regulators to pull the hospital's funding.
