One of the largest police force's in the UK is considering letting Muslim officers wear burkas in an attempt to boost diversity. West Midlands Police has said it will discuss letting the traditional Islamic dress - which covers the entirety of a woman's face and body - to become part of Muslim female officers' uniform. An eighth grader in Houston, TX tried to pay for lunch with a $2 bill. Danesiah Neal told ABC News, ”I went to the lunch line, and they said my $2 bill was fake. They gave it to the police. Then they sent me to the police office. A police officer said I could be in big trouble.” The officer told Danesiah she could be charged with a third-degree felony. An Indianapolis man who was mistakenly shot by a police officer responding to an armed robbery said Friday that he didn't know officers had arrived at his home until he was blinded by their flashlights after being shot. A Stephens County deputy was fired after his K9 officer died while in his care. A North Carolina state trooper shot dead a deaf and mute man who was apparently trying to communicate using sign language after he was pulled over for a speeding violation. Daniel Kevin Harris, 29, a father to a four-year-old boy, was killed just feet from his home in Charlotte by trooper Jermaine Saunders on Thursday evening. Police allegedly shot dead a deaf man outside his front door as he tried to communicate with them in sign language. Officers in North Carolina had attempted to pull over 29-year-old Daniel Harris last Thursday for speeding, according to NBC. But instead of slowing down, Mr Harris continued on his way home. One witness reported Mr Harris was then shot and killed "almost immediately" after exiting his vehicle". Charlotte, NC — A community and family is mourning the loss of Daniel Kevin Harris, whose life was taken this week by a State Trooper who apparently fears sign language.
