Chaos erupted at the Nevada Democratic convention on Saturday as supporters of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders clashed over the awarding of the state’s 35 pledged delegates. Clinton edged Sanders in the Nevada caucus on Feb. 20th (52.6 percent to 47.3 percent). On April 2, however, the state party held its Clark County convention and Sanders mobilized more delegates than the Clinton campaign (1,613 to 1,298), which swung the delegate count in his favor. At the state convention this weekend, the final step in the process, Sanders supporters hoped to secure the lion’s share of the remaining 12 delegates. Instead,...

The convention ended in out-of-control fashion when Chairwoman of the Nevada State Democratic Party, Roberta Lange, who’s also a member of the national DNC Executive Committee, announced the results of a voice vote, used a gavel to adjourn the meeting and quickly left the venue. Party officials said the ineligible Sanders supporters weren’t registered as Democrats by a May 1 deadline or didn’t provide necessary personal information.

The violence and incivility at these Republican political events is simply intolerable. I don’t understand why voters would put up with such rudeness and the fundamental breakdown of what is supposed to be the proud tradition of our great American experiment. If the GOP continues on this path, the voters will surely reject them in November and… Wait. What? This was the Democrats? (Daily Caller) Upset Bernie Sanders supporters booed California Sen. Barbara Boxer , a Hillary Clinton supporter, during a contentious Nevada Democratic Convention Saturday.“We need civility in the Democratic Party, civility,” Boxer said as Sanders supporters booed the...

FULL TITLE: "DNC leaders flee Nevada State Dem Convention, call in sheriff’s deputies and hotel security as dispute over delegates escalates into violence"(video at link) Bitterness and violence erupted yesterday at the Democrats’ Nevada State Convention in Las Vegas, as 64 Sanders delegates were disqualified, allowing Clinton to take 7 of the 12 delegates up for grabs. Party officials there ignored a motion from the floor and rammed through a vote according to the wishes of the Clinton campaign. It’s almost as if the Hillary faction genuinely fears for the nomination it supposedly has sewn up. Along the way Barbara...

In a field of 17 candidates to begin with, that was steadlily widdled down to finally three for the last several primaries, Donald Trump will have accumulated more GOP...

“Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president. And the same thing applies to governors, and U.S. senators and congress members.” — Former President Jimmy Carter (ANTIMEDIA) Denver, CO — The 2016 election has been a wild ride, with two insurgent grassroots campaigns literally giving the political establishment a run for its money. But as the events of this presidential primary season play out, it’s becoming clear the U.S. election — and even more so, the presidential race — is a big scam being perpetrated...

Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) said she wants to get Donald Trump a pacifier, and expressed concern about delegates being "harassed" by pro-Bernie forces. Wasserman Schultz noted on CNN this morning that "while certainly it's understandable that as you get closer to a significant primary contest that it's going to get a little bit more edgy, so to speak...my guidance -- my caution, to not only the candidates but their supporters, is to really make sure that we continue to have the robust and substantive discussion on that debate stage that I'm so proud of both of...

On Saturday, HBO will air it's much promoted new film Confirmation, a dramatic and biased account of Justice Clarence Thomas' 1991 Supreme Court confirmation hearings. As many recall, law professor Anita Hill accused Thomas of sexual harassment in an effort to derail the hearings and made a career out of making a number of dubious claims. HBO of course, is happy to promote them. HBO and the producers claim the film is an accurate and well researched portrayal of history. Many who were there strongly disagree: A group of former politicians and their aides are bracing themselves for a new HBO...

Trump and Cruz camp followers: Come in out of the weeds and go after your candidates demanding that they turn their energies on America’s biggest enemy: Hillary Clinton and the power-crazed Democrats Is the soap opera style Republican primary race really being master-minded by the omnipresent Democrats? With their non-stop, public infernal squabbling, allowing their surrogates to feed tidbits to gossip mongering media, Republican nominee contenders are acting just like Democrats. Can dirty Democrat fingerprints be found on Donald J. Trump, Ted Cruz or John Kasich? Is one of them in reality a Democrat plant?

Bernie Sanders' campaign manager Jeff Weaver was not fully ready to throw in the towel in Arizona based on counted early votes late Tuesday evening, hours after The Associated Press and major networks called the Democratic race for Hillary Clinton. “I’m not predicting victory, but I’m not predicting defeat, either," Weaver told CNN in an interview following Sanders' San Diego address to supporters. "I mean, we have to wait and see ‘til the votes are counted." "There’s obviously something wrong with the numbers, and I think once we see where they come down, it may end up being a split...

A group of conservative activists huddled behind closed doors Thursday at a Washington hotel to plot strategy to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump , including calling for a unity ticket to oppose him and a floor fight at the GOP convention to deny him the nomination. The meeting was led by conservative talk radio host Erick Erickson, a longtime outspoken critic of Mr. Trump . “We believe that the issue of Donald Trump is greater than an issue of party. It is an issue of morals and character that all Americans, not just those of us in the conservative movement,...

"Black Lives Matter Leader Who Spoke to UN Against Police Violence Vows: “Riots Everywhere if Trump Wins”" Michael Brown robbed a local Ferguson convenience store shortly before his death. Then Brown smashed police officer Darren Wilson in the face and wrestled the officer for his gun before he was shot dead. Race protesters later rioted and burned down the Ferguson business district. In November 2014 Ferguson protest leader Tef Poe was flown to the United Nations offices in Geneva, Switzerland. The Ferguson activist-rapper delivered a speech on US police crimes to UN officials before the verdict was announced in the...

On Feb. 16, Gov. Steve Bullock flew to Missoula from Helena to conduct “state” business, which also happened to “conveniently” coincide with a campaign event, using the state’s turboprop airplane, at a cost of not less than $1,000/hour. A 115-mile drive, it’s probably an 80-mile flight; not the type of flight for which this plane is designed. More offensive is that he’s flying to a destination that includes a campaign event, using state equipment/taxpayer funds to do so. This has been an ongoing practice of this governor (the same modus operandi recently used for campaign events in Billings and Bozeman)....

While the process to nominate Democrat and Republican candidates for president are essentially the same, there is a notable difference in just who will vote at the nominating committee. That difference comes in the form of something Democrats call a “superdelegate.” You are likely to hear the term – though an unofficial one – quite a bit in the coming months. Here’s a quick look at what a superdelegate is and what they do. What is a Superdelegate? A Superdelegate is a person who is a delegate to the national nominating convention but who is not “bound” to a candidate,...

Just another typical romantic Valentines Day for the Obama’s: Big Guy is in California golfing with the Hawaiian buddies: Ahead of the meeting, the president arrived in Palm Springs today at about noon and headed to the Porcupine Creek golf club in Rancho Mirage, where he played gof for about six hours with Punahou School friends Greg Orme, Bobby Titcomb and Mike Ramos. CNN’s Jake Tapper confronted Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz over the “rigged†process in New Hampshire that left Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton with the same number of delegates despite Sanders’ 22 point shellacking of Clinton.
