Bernie Sanders' campaign manager Jeff Weaver was not fully ready to throw in the towel in Arizona based on counted early votes late Tuesday evening, hours after The Associated Press and major networks called the Democratic race for Hillary Clinton.
Im not predicting victory, but Im not predicting defeat, either," Weaver told CNN in an interview following Sanders' San Diego address to supporters. "I mean, we have to wait and see til the votes are counted."
"Theres obviously something wrong with the numbers, and I think once we see where they come down, it may end up being a split of delegates basically in Arizona," he said. "I do think in other places tonight, were hearing some very good news.
