Democratic Congressman Gary Peters voted for ObamaCare. That disastrous vote made life worse for a lot of people. Now Gary Peters is running for Senate and trying to silence a leukemia survivor whose life he ruined. Julie Boonstra, a cancer patient who was kicked of off her health plan due to Obamacare, lashed out at Rep. Gary Peters (D., Mich.) on Saturday after lawyers for his campaign demanded that Michigan broadcasters cease airing ads featuring her story.Boonstra, a Michigan resident, was diagnosed with leukemia five years ago. She was recently kicked off of her healthcare plan due to regulations passed...

Apparently it's not enough to use the IRS and FCC to shut down the opposition. What does an aspiring democrat Senator wannabe do when he doesn't like an opposition TV ad? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kpjyr1x7mC0Attack the woman cancer victim in the ad, and then threaten to take the station off the air. While Julie Boonstra of Dexter, Mich., struggles to survive leukemia, she now also has to cope with being called a liar by the Democrat who wants to be her next senator. And the campaign of Rep. Gary Peters is also going after television stations airing ads in which her story is...

While Julie Boonstra of Dexter, Mich., struggles to survive leukemia, she now also has to cope with being called a liar by the Democrat who wants to be her next senator. And the campaign of Rep. Gary Peters is also going after television stations airing ads in which her story is featured, threatening their licenses. The ad by Americans for Prosperity features Boonstra talking about how her insurance was canceled under Obamacare and saying that Peters' decision to vote for the law "jeopardized my health." The ads are airing in Michigan as Peters seeks the Democratic nomination to replace Sen....

THE MIAMI HERALD REPORTS—--alleged kiddie-prostitute, Nexis de los Santos Santana, and her Dominican lawyer, Miguel Galván, entered sworn statements in a Dominican Republic court, claiming they were duped as part of an elaborate plan hatched by another Dominican lawyer under the guise of a divorce case involving Menendez donor Dr Salomon Melgen. “I never went to bed with [Menendez or Melgen]. I don’t know them,” de los Santos, 23, said in the testimony. (waiting for hysterical laughter to die down) CONCLUSION Prostie claims she was gonna get paid to...

During a town hall-style agricultural symposium in Mankato, Minn., on Wednesday, Democratic lawmakers were left speechless after a citizen asked a very simple question about Obamacare.Screengrab via KEYC-TV The question: “I thought the Affordable Care Act would save $2500 per family. What happened?â€Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Tim Walz, both of Minnesota, seemingly didnÂ’t know how to respond. In fact, the room erupted in laughter after the two just stared at each other. Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), who also attended the meeting, was the only one prepared to respond.“I voted ‘no’, so IÂ’ll let these guys handle that,†he said,...

HARARE (Reuters) - Former congressman Mel Reynolds has been arrested in Zimbabwe, an immigration official said on Tuesday, after state media reported the convicted sex offender had been found with pornography at a local hotel. Police and immigration officials were investigating Reynolds for living in the southern African country without a valid visa, Francis Mabika, an assistant regional immigration officer, told Reuters. Mabika said Reynolds has been in Zimbabwe since November, but declined to give further details. Reuters was unable to reach Reynolds for comment. A spokeswoman for the U.S. embassy in Harare declined to comment. The state-owned Herald newspaper...

Democrats know their biggest problem in this year’s midterm election is Obamacare. So top party operatives have settled on a strategy to try blunting the GOP’s advantage: Tell voters Republicans would make the problem worse — raising prescription drug prices, empowering insurance companies and even endangering domestic violence victims. The battle plan, details of which were in a memo obtained by POLITICO, recognizes the unpopularity of the Affordable Care Act. But it also banks on voter fatigue with the GOP’s relentless demands for repeal and counts on poll-backed data that show many Americans would rather fix Obamacare’s problems than scrap...

Last week, the Congressional Budget Office released a report discussing the ramifications of Obamacare. The report revealed that the work-hour equivalent of approximately 2.5 million jobs would disappear from the workforce, thanks to Obamacare, in a voluntary process in which employees would simply dump out of their jobs, knowing they could get health care through expanded Medicaid and federal subsidies they would lose by working. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., an ideological leftist thought leader, spun the report as a massive positive for Obamacare: "The single mom, who's raising three kids (and) has to keep a job because of health care,...

Since we are approaching Valentine's Day I thought I would post on the subject of happiness, specifically the pursuit of happiness. Think about it: what is romantic love if it is not about the pursuit of happiness? However, I intend to look at the idea of the pursuit of happiness through a political lens, specifically through the federal lens of the Democrats and liberals on one side and the Republicans and conservatives on the other side. Before I state my premise I want to assert that in politics or in war, the dream goal of any army is to outflank...

Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) expressed outrage over a series of campaign ads informing voters of her support for the Affordable Care Act. While not disputing the accuracy of the content, Hagan contended that “the more important question is who is behind these ads.” “Whether I voted for the Affordable Care Act years ago is a moot issue at this point in time,” the Senator claimed. “The past cannot be undone. What matters is the future. The money being put into rehashing the past by the Americans for Prosperity campaign against me is obscuring this crucial fact.” “Instead of allowing themselves...

Though currently serving a six-month sentence for assaulting a woman who declined to have sex with him, Representative Carlos Henriquez (D-Suffolk) refuses to resign from the Massachusetts House. “First of all, my incarceration is illegal,” Henriquez argued. “Members of the legislature are supposed to have immunity. Secondly, the Ethics Committee’s recommendation that I be removed from office contradicts the vote of the people of my district who are entitled to have the person of their choice represent them. Nowhere in the State Constitution does it say that a person in prison cannot serve in the legislature.” The representative has suggested...

“Cringe-worthy.” “Terrible.” “I think everyone in that room wanted to drag their fingernails across their face.” “The most painful speech ever.” Just some of the reviews of Democrat Congresswoman Donna Edwards’ atrocious speech. Edwards was supposed to be entertaining journalists and reporters with a monologue. But not only did it bomb, it was excruciating for those in attendance. Let’s see if you find these two select snippets (verbatim from the speech) funny: “Come on, help me y’all: I want to give a really special shout out to Nancy Pelosi and all my sisters in the libido caucus — holla’!” “There...

....It was supposed to be a comedy – an annual ritual where a member of Congress entertains a wonky crowd of journalists, lawmakers, and all variety of political insiders with jokes you wouldn’t mind repeating to your mother. But more people were wincing than laughing.

Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD) delivered the keynote speech yesterday at the Washington Press Club Foundation. The far left politician compared Republicans to monkeys and gave a shout out to Nancy Pelosi and “all my sisters in the libido caucus.” The Politico reported: Washingtonians sit through terrible speeches all the time: dry rules hearings, partisan floor lectures and, let’s face it, even the State of the Union some years. So it was a bad day for Rep. Donna Edwards Thursday, when Washingtonians gathered at coffee pots and in lunch rooms across town and deemed her performance at the Washington Press Club...

Three suspects are now in custody for the theft of a rare $5 million violin, and one of the suspects has ties to US Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s (D-Wis.) son Sowande A. Sympathizer: Tom Harkin, or "Comrade Harkin" to some, says Cuba's health care system is "remarkable." Maybe a better name for Iowa's senior senator, would be "Useful Idiot," a term the USSR used for gullible leftists in the West. Harkin, a Democrat, recently spent a week in Cuba, apparently taking in all that the island prison has to offer. On his return, he told reporters that Cuba is a "poor country" — did he think they didn't know this? — but gushed that "they have a lower child mortality rate than ours." "Their life expectancy is now greater than ours," he...

As incredible as it may sound, both major political parties have decided to throw in the towel on the 2014 elections. Both parties made their announcements true to their traditions. The Democrats did it in their typically coy way, having their plutocrat masters hint that no money would be forthcoming for House races. The Republicans did it by calling their base racist and telling it to DIAF (or FOAD depending on which member of the House leadership you talked to.) While the Democrats at least have the stated objective of retaining the Senate, the GOP seems to have set out...
