According to a recent report by World Net Daily, expected 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is embroiled in yet another international scandal. Still reeling from what many perceive as a botched response to the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, reports indicate the former secretary of state is being investigated by Egypt’s attorney general. Hisham Barakat’s criminal complaint against Clinton alleges she conspired with the wife of former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi – and the Muslim Brotherhood – to encourage rebels in the nation. According to a translator, Morsi’s wife, Naglaa Mahmoud, reportedly claims to have a “treasure trove of...

Vigil held for slain teen By Mike Nolan mnolan@southtownstar.com December 28, 2013 11:22PM Updated: December 29, 2013 2:17AM Family and friends of a slain pregnant teenager, whose baby doctors were able to save, held a candlelight vigil Saturday in her memory. The aunt of 17-year-old Eva Casara said at the vigil in Dolton — held where the teen was found on Christmas Day, shot in the head and left between two apartment buildings — that her niece’s baby, Laylani, is “doing much better.” “She’s a true fighter,” Jennifer Ross said of the baby, who weighed just over a pound when...

India's unusual tough stand on the arrest of its diplomat Devyani Khobragade has forced the US to initiate an "inter-agency review" to look into the lapses that happened in the high-profile case that triggered an uproar in India and strained bilateral ties. The US departments involved in the review include the National Security Council of the White House, the State Department and the Justice Department. "An inter-agency review is going on right now to look into the lapses that happened in the case," sources. In a tacit acknowledgement of the fact that there was a "judgemental error" in handling this case,...

A federal judge in Texas late last week accused the Obama administration of aiding drug cartels, saying that instead of enforcing immigration laws, agents knowingly helped smuggle an illegal immigrant girl into the U.S. to live with her mother, also an illegal immigrant, in Virginia. In a 10-page order, Judge Andrew S. Hanen said the case was the fourth such case he’s seen over the last month, and in each instance Border Patrol agents have helped to locate and deliver the children to their illegal immigrant parents. The judge said in each case, the taxpayers footed the bill for flights...

SAN ANTONIO — A motorist fleeing after being stopped by police struck and killed a pedestrian on the city's South Side Monday afternoon, police said. The motorist, Roxanne Campa, 31, was pulled over Monday around 5 p.m. for a traffic violation. The officer who pulled her over returned to the patrol car and found she had provided a false name. When the officer went back to talk to Campa, she took off in her vehicle, police said. Near the intersection of South Hackberry Street and Fair Avenue, Campa allegedly lost control of her car, jumped a curb and hit a...

A federal judge has ruled in favor of the Obama Administration’s Department of Justice by requiring Louisiana to allow federal oversight of its school choice program, a decision that suggests the court’s acceptance of further involvement by the federal government in local school choice policies. A full 90% of the children who benefit from the voucher program are black. The remaining 10% came from 22 school districts under desegregation orders handed down five decades ago, which prompted the DOJ to state, “the voucher recipients were in the racial minority at the public school they attended before receiving the voucher.” As...

Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) has introduced an Articles of Impeachment resolution against Attorney General Eric Holder for his role in Operation Fast and Furious and other scandals of President Barack Obama’s administration. Seven congressman have signed onto the resolution thus far in addition to Olson. They are Reps. Larry Bucshon (R-IN), Blake Farenthold (R-TX), Phil Roe (R-TN), Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Roger Williams (R-TX), Ted Yoho (R-FL), and Randy Weber (R-TX). The Articles of Impeachment has four different sections. The first calls for Holder’s official removal because of his failure to comply with congressional subpoenas relating to Operation Fast and Furious....

After having already been held in criminal contempt of Congress for an ongoing cover-up of the Obama administration’s deadly “Fast and Furious” gun-running program, disgraced Attorney General Eric Holder is facing a fresh challenge: an effort by some GOP lawmakers to impeach him before the end of the year. According to media reports, the bid to force Holder out of power, if successful, would represent the second impeachment of a cabinet member in American history. Meanwhile, the movement to impeach Obama himself is growing stronger by the day as well — both in Congress and among everyday Americans. News that...

William Potts burned with the desire to change the world. Nothing really turned out the way he planned... ... he returned to the United States and in 1984 he concealed a .25-caliber pistol in a plaster cast and hijacked a plane to Cuba, among the last in a flood of dozens of self-styled revolutionary hijackings. To Potts' surprise, Cuban authorities didn't offer him guerrilla training. He was convicted of air piracy and imprisoned for more than 13 years. Now, 29 years after he changed into a black beret and leather jacket in a plane bathroom and hijacked more than 100...

November 4, 2013, 1:00 PM ET Holder: ‘I Was Right’ on Holding 9/11 Trial in NYC ByDevlin Barrett Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday that the slow pace of the military commission trial of the accused 9/11 plotters shows he was right four years ago to try to put those suspects on trial in New York City. The trial of those defendants, including the alleged mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, is still enmeshed in pre-trial hearings, and the trial itself is not expected to begin for at least another year. It was four years ago that Mr. Holder announced Mr. Mohammed...

The Justice and State departments are now citing a year-old FBI investigation and a future criminal prosecution to block access to survivors of last year’s Benghazi terror attack. In an Oct. 28 letter to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.,the State Department’s Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, Julia Frifield, refers to "significant risks" and "serious concerns about having the survivors of the attack submit to additional interviews." Graham has been asking since last year for the FBI’s transcripts of interviews with State Department and CIA survivors who were evacuated to Germany after the Sep.11 attack on the U.S. consulate. He and other...

Believing in this president is proving to be a health hazard. ~snip~ The liar is none other than the President of the United States. On June 15, 2009, President Obama told a town hall meeting that “No matter how we reform healthcare, we will keep this promise…. if you like your healthcare plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.” The fine print in his health law proves that he never intended to keep that promise. Sec. 1251(a)(1) of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) says that no...

"First of all, insurance companies are always dropping people from their plans. This goes on, this went on before ObamaCare went on, after ObamaCare. We’re losing a lot of perspective here. But, yeah, he probably should have not been so blatant about saying you iron clad guarantee." "On the other hand, since he got no Republican votes and no Republican help, and since three years after it’s a law they’re still fighting it, can you imagine what it would be like if he said, “Yeah, some people your rates are going to up.” I mean, he, the thing passed by...

It’s just one tweet, but the sheer mendacity requires its own post. With the media finally in “now it can be told” mode since Obamacare passed and President Obama was reelected, pretty much everyone is admitting what all of us knew four years ago— that no, not everyone would be able to keep their plans if they liked their plans. And, yes, the Obama administration knew it just as sure as its critics did. It was a lie and an obvious one, but the administration, much of the media, and Obamacare supporters happily acted as if it were true and...

Attorney General Eric Holder is pushing black students into schools that are failing just so he can crow about diversity statistics, more than two dozen Republican senators charged Thursday. Republican Sen. Pat Toomey was one GOP member who made the accusation, speaking about the fallout from Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana when needy students in the state received scholarships for private schools. The students hailed from schools that were failing, more than 90 percent of them minorities, senate/330421-toomey-ag-holder-is-forcing-black-students-into-failing-schools” target=”_blank”>the Hill reported. But the Justice Department asked that some of those students stay at their present schools — the failing ones —...

The frustration, say immigration advocates, is reaching a fever pitch. That is why, many say, recent weeks have seen activists use chains and pipes to tie themselves to the tires of buses that carry immigrants slated for deportation to court, block traffic on Capitol Hill and get arrested, surround Tucson police when they targeted two immigrants during a traffic stop, and chain themselves and block the entrance of a federal detention center. More such actions, they vow, are coming.

The House Oversight Committee has ( uncovered a series of emails) between the White House and IRS Obamacare officials that show the White House was given confidential taxpayer information on groups suing the government. Section 6103 of the Internal Revenue Code prohibits federal employees from “disclosing any return or return information obtained by him in any manner in connection with his service as such an officer or an employee.” Federal employees who illegally disclose confidential taxpayer information can face up to five years in prison for their actions. The emails show that Sarah Hall Ingram, a top IRS Obamacare official,...

The Democrats are chanting that Republicans must fully fund Obamacare because it is the law of the land, passed by Congress, signed by the president and upheld by the Supreme Court. Therefore, they say, it must be obeyed and can't be altered by Republicans who want to defund it. That argument is both wrong and hypocritical. Any federal law can be changed, repealed, amended or defunded by our legislative branch of government, Congress. The Republican House wants to deal with the controversial huge "continuing resolution" bill in separate pieces, giving the OK to worthwhile federal spending purposes while leaving others...

I was listening to Attorney Joe DiGenova this morning on WMAL and he pointed out how the DOJ had recently sent a letter to universities telling them they could ignore the June ruling by the Supreme Court on using race in admissions. The Supreme Court, in a nearly unanimous ruling, said that universities could use race in admissions but not as a dominant factor. But in this letter the DOJ is instructing universities to continue with the same racial preferences that the Supreme Court had just barred them from using: WSJ – Obama Administration regulators have made a specialty of...
