The painting that has been getting attention this week shows an image of a nude Chris Evans, the actor who plays Captain America in Marvel’s movie series. He’s holding the severed head of the president, as a young ’60s-era Hillary Clinton clings to his leg. The school is refusing to remove the graphic painting, by university employee Thomas Chung, claiming it is important to protect even objectionable artistic expression.

... In Los Angeles and virtually every city in North America, bicycle theft has almost become a crime without consequence, so widespread that it is treated less as a problem and more like one of the costs of urban life. Thieves can quickly cut locks on a target that serves as its own getaway vehicle, sell their ill-gotten goods to fencers for pennies on the dollar, and rest assured they will almost never be busted. Law enforcement officials, busy with other priorities, rarely commit to sustained campaigns to bust theft rings or even pursue arrests.

Judith Clark, the getaway driver in a fatal armored car robbery in 1981, has been denied parole, despite support from Governor Andrew Cuomo for her release. Four months ago, Cuomo sparked controversy after he commuted Clark's life sentence, allowing the former revolutionary to seek early release for her role in the botched robbery of a Brinks truck in Rockland County. After the ruling, he released a statement saying Clark deserved the opportunity to make her case and he respects the parole board's decision. Clark has served more than 35 years of a 75-years-to-life sentence for her role in the shooting,...

The suspect in this week's racially motivated shooting rampage in Fresno entered a courtroom early Friday shouting that natural disasters striking America will increase. Kori Ali Muhammad, 39, then shouted twice during a minute-long hearing: "Let black people go in reparations." He was charged Thursday with killing unarmed security guard Carl Williams at a Motel 6 a week earlier. Authorities say Williams was the first of four killings by Muhammad. Police say he told them that learning he was wanted for the Williams killing spurred him to try to kill as many white people as possible before he was caught....

MS-13, a group that was started by Central American immigrants in Los Angeles in the 1980s, is known for its ruthless and violent tactics. Most of the founding members were from El Salvador and fled to the U.S. during the country’s civil war that lasted 12 years, from 1980-92. Since then the gang’s membership has ballooned to at least 10,000 members in the United States and more than 30,000 worldwide, according to the FBI and Treasury Department. “[MS-13] is one of the most dangerous and rapidly expanding criminal gangs in the world today,” Philip Holloway, a legal analyst and former...

It is a plea for mercy -- not out of the Arkansas statutes but from an older and more venerable legal code: Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do. But it's a plea that cannot be made today on behalf of the people of this sovereign state. For we still have the death penalty, still tell pollsters we like it and insist that our politicians bow to it before sending them to Little Rock. We know exactly what we do. And the whole world is watching. Vengeance is mine, sayeth the almighty State of Arkansas -- because...

(THE HILL - Barf Alert) Attorney General Jeff Sessions says the MS-13 gang could be designated as a terrorist organization. Asked by Fox News's Tucker Carlson on Tuesday whether he thinks the designation would be helpful, Sessions replied, “I think so, perhaps. I believe it could qualify for that." ADVERTISEMENT "There are rules that I guess the State Department does to establish that," he added. El Salvador's government has already designated MS-13 a terrorist group. Sessions called the gang "one of the most violent gangs in the history of our country." “We can devastate this gang. We’re going after them,"...

Police said the man who killed three people on a shooting spree in downtown Fresno, Calif., on Tuesday while shouting "Allahu Akbar" wanted to kill as many white people as possible. Kori Ali Muhammad, 39, knew he was being searched for and he "decided he was going to kill more people," Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said. President Donald Trump on Tuesday blamed -- without proof -- his predecessor Barack Obama for allowing the MS-13 criminal gang to take root in US cities. The MS-13, also known as the Mara Salvatrucha, is one of the criminal groups behind a wave of violence in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. The gang was formed in Los Angeles by Salvadoran immigrants fleeing civil war in the 1980s. The gang, however, remains active in the United States. US officials deported several gang members in the early 2000s to their countries of origin -- contributing to the explosive spread of crime in...

Where’s the racial diversity? Where’s the size diversity….” one Twitter user wrote.

Police say Stephenson approached Bonnie Currie, 22, as she waited for an F/M train at an East Village subway station early Friday and allegedly grabbed her crotch. When she told him to “F–k off,” he reportedly pushed her onto the tracks. “Physically I’m very beat up and sore,” Currie told The Post hours after the incident. “Mentally is harder to explain. I cried hysterically for many hours this morning in the ER.” Police say Stephenson has five prior arrests, including a robbery in 2009 for which he was on parole.
