Yesterday evening, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) gave attorney Debra S. Katz an ultimatum - agree to reasonable testimonial terms for her client and alleged sexual assault survivor Professor Christine Blasey Ford by 10:00 PM Friday or the Senate would go ahead and vote on Monday to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. In return, Katz accused the senator of establishing an "arbitrary" deadline and flatly declined to comply with his request and instead asked for one more day. Shortly after midnight, Sen. Grassley agreed to give Katz and her client one more day.

Her release of the Christine Ford allegations against Judge Kavanaugh should forever put to rest any idea that this woman has any level of ethics or respect for our constitutional system. The senator's actions are worthy of being censured for withholding information from the committee. Unfortunately, the Republicans lack the requisite spherical objects to do so. The incident was known to DiFi back in July, but she kept quiet, holding it like an ace up her sleeve. We can only guess her reasons for this. Two possibilities spring to mind. First, she was holding on to it for the purpose...

Dueling pistols are strange, beautiful and ironic. Gadgets to shoot each other in the face, crafted with the delicacy and decorative extravagance of expensive jewelry. They appeared in the 18th C, as faster firing versions of older, flintlock guns replaced swords. Their use dwindled in the 19th C, while duels were still fought in the Western US states. Here the less rich would engage in gouging, similarly prearranged combat, with the aim of plucking out the opponent’s eyes. Dueling pistols were designed for the upper classes, for the preservation of honor. They were used illegally by generals and poets (Pushkin was...

  • Hate in Politics Today Goes Beyond Anything This Nation Has Ever Experienced

Charlie Daniels To anybody who will admit the truth, the animosity and downright hate that exists in the political arena goes way past anything this nation has ever experienced before. The vitriol has grown to the point that party power comes before patriotism for many of these jaded partisans, to the point they will fight tooth and nail to defeat things that would be beneficial for the country just because it’s the opposing party’s idea.  They’d literally rather do harm to the people they are sworn to serve than lose any political ground. They develop hyperbolic phrases, “tax cuts...
  • Cosby Judge Forbids Testimony by Other Accusers at Sentencing

    NY Times ^ | 9/20/18 | Graham Bowley
The judge in the Bill Cosby sexual assault case on Thursday denied a prosecution request to allow testimony at his sentencing hearing from women who say he molested them but whose accusations never led to criminal charges. It was not immediately clear whether the judge intended to block all testimony from women who had given their accounts at Mr. Cosby’s trial in April because he asked for clarification on whether prosecutors intended to bring the women forward as part of the sentencing hearing. He asked them to clarify that point within 24 hours. Prosecutors in Pennsylvania had asked that an...
  • The population of illegal migrants is roughly 22 million, or twice the establishment estimate

The population of illegal migrants is roughly 22 million, or twice the establishment estimate of 11 million, say three professors from Yale University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The shocking estimate will force establishment politicians and pro-migration advocates to recalculate the estimated impact of the huge illegal population on wages and salaries, on crime rates, welfare consumption, rental and real-estate prices, productivity rates, and the distribution of job-creating investment funds to coastal vs. heartland states. The higher illegal population estimate helps explain why Americans’ wages and salaries have risen so little amid apparently record-low unemployment rates, and it also...

I'm sure I'm not the first here to catch this; This probably has been mentioned in the comments in one of the many threads about Rosenstein's involvement in what was actually Comey's attempted coup-d'etat. But given that HOLY COW! AMERICA HAD A REAL-LIFE ATTEMPTED COUP D'ETAT!!!, I think this deserves being bumped up into an article. Rosenstein disputed the core of the story, that the head of the FBI and the head of the Justice Department had formal discussions about a coup-d'etat. Here's what Rosenstein DID say: "The New York Times story is inaccurate and factually incorrect. I will not...

President Donald Trump issued an ominous warning about the Justice Department and the FBI on Friday, promising further firings to get rid of a “lingering stench” following reports that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein discussed secretly recording the president. Trump, speaking at a rally in Missouri, did not explicitly mention the Rosenstein furor, which was first reported by The New York Times and confirmed by The Associated Press. But Trump lashed out against what he sees as anti-Trump bias in the Justice Department, touting the firings he has orchestrated, unnerving many in federal law enforcement and sparking fears about the...

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday accused the administration of US President Donald Trump of being a threat to the Middle East and to the international community. “It is true that there is a real threat to our region and to international peace and security: That threat is the Trump Administration’s sense of entitlement to destabilize the world along with rogue accomplices in our region,” Zarif wrote on Twitter. “The US must start acting like a normal state,” he added. …

Here is something the liberal mainstream media will not tell you. This also explains why the far left attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford refuse to testify before next Thursday. Democrats know if they delay the Kavanaugh vote for another week his confirmation process will be over. Thursday is a significant date in this story. Because of senate rules which are complex, if Ford testifies next Thursday the vote on Kavanaugh will be pushed back at least another week. In this environment that very well means – forever. His nomination will be over. And So will any Trump nomination to the...

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s actions, as recounted by the New York Times Friday, are the equivalent of an attempted coup -- a plot to overthrow the president. As the Times reveals, Rosenstein was furious that Democrats blamed him for the firing of FBI Director James Comey. Rosenstein, who had volunteered to write the firing memorandum, was “regretful and emotional.” His behavior was described as “erratic.” He blamed Trump. So, in an apparent act of vengeance, he proposed secretly recording the president to try to gain damaging information about him. He solicited others to wear wires, including Andrew McCabe, who...

An unhinged woman went on a stabbing spree inside an illegal Queens daycare early Friday, slashing four newborns — including one as young as 3 days old — and two adults before slitting her own wrist, police and sources said. The bloodbath unfolded just before 4 a.m. at a multi-family home on 161st Street near 45th Avenue in Flushing, where the daycare was being operated under the name Mei Xin Care Inc., cops said. The woman — identified by law enforcement sources as Yu Fen Wang, 52 — used a knife to stab the babies, as well as a man...

Debra Katz, one of the attorneys representing Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, attended a resistance rally against the president in 2017 and promised to “fight back.” (video) Katz is representing Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who claims Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in the 1980s while the two were in high school. The lawyer has numerous ties to the resistance against Trump, and was caught on camera at a protest in February 2017 after Jeff Sessions was confirmed as the administration’s attorney general. “We are going to fight back,” she told a reporter. “We are going to resist. We will...

Taxpayers potentially owe almost $610 million to local government employees in Nevada’s two most populous counties for their unused paid time off, financial reports show. That liability grew 26 percent from 2007 to 2017, and it doesn’t represent compensation that will be paid exclusively for rest, relaxation, illness or personal time. Many of Nevada’s public employees can stockpile their sick and vacation hours and cash them out at retirement. Some of those payouts exceed $100,000.

Ruh-roh: sounds like the Dems have a hesitant, ill-prepared accuser on their hands in the person of Christine Ford. On this evening's Hardball, Politico reporter Annie Karni said: "She is not used to the public spotlight. She is not used to Washington politics. She is from what I understand not yet at all ready for this kind of grilling that she's going to be walking into. Which is part of the delay, which is part of the back and forth whether she wants to do it or not."Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

He was taken into...
