They've tossed the first protester out of the Trump rally in Anaheim. As Trump launched into a speech that would touch on issues such as gun rights and the wall he'd like to build at the U.S./Mexico border, a protester tried to interrupt him. "Get him out of here. Out. Out. Out. Out," Trump, from the podium, told security officials. "Don't hurt him," he added. "I say that for the TV cameras, but don't hurt him." It's unclear what happened to the protester.

So this happened: Milo Yiannopoulos’ event at DePaul University had to be cut short Tuesday night after protesters stormed the stage, blew whistles, grabbed the microphone out of the interviewer’s hand, and threatened to punch Yiannopoulos in the face. Texas and 10 other states are suing the Obama administration over a new directive about transgender students in public schools. To the casual observer, it would seem that gay rights falls neatly on the political spectrum. Democrats champion bills that aim to protect LGBT people from discrimination, and Republicans increasingly propose and pass ones aimed to protect the religiously devout. But there's growing evidence that Republicans in Congress and across the country are sidestepping the more controversial religious protection and bathroom bills and, in some cases, embracing LGBT non-discrimination laws instead....
