In the wake of the outlaw biker shootout in Waco, Texas, where nine bikers were killed, the law blog Chicago Now suggested all gun owners should have to pass a test and get a license—which is what potential gun owners are also required to do in Chicago. A federal appeals court has rejected the University of Notre Dame's request to temporarily be exempt from a provision in the Affordable Care Act that requires the Catholic school's insurance providers to cover the costs of contraceptives for students and staff. FBI Director James Comey fired back on Wednesday at Silicon Valley companies that are calling for stronger encryption of their products.
