WASHINGTON (AP) — For years, the government has been issuing guidelines about healthy eating choices. Now, a panel that advises the Agriculture Department is ready to recommend that you be told not only what foods are better for your own health, but for the environment as well. That means that when the latest version of the government's dietary guidelines comes out, it may push even harder than it has in recent years for people to choose more fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains and other plant-based foods — at the expense of meat.

A hacker has released a tool that he says can break into any iCloud account. The tool, iDict, uses an exploit in Apple's security to bypass restrictions that stop most hackers from gaining access to accounts. On iDict's GitHub page, user "Pr0x13" says the exploit used to create the hacking tool is "painfully obvious" and that it "was only a matter of time" before hackers used it to break into iCloud accounts. The tool is described as a "100% working iCloud Apple ID dictionary attack that bypasses account lockout restrictions and secondary authentication on any account."

The North Korea comedy film that had its Christmas Day launch cancelled after a major cyber attack and threats against US cinema-goers is now to get a limited theatrical release, Sony says. Researchers from Sucuri, a security firm, reported on Monday that vulnerabilities affecting a WordPress plugin are being used by hackers to compromise websites and spread malware to users’ computers. According to this report, exploiting a vulnerability in Silder Revolution, over 100,000 WordPress sites have been compromised so far.
