José Raúl Mulino, a last-minute conservative candidate in Panama’s 2024 presidential race, was elected in Sunday’s general election with a nearly ten percent lead over his closest rival. Mulino, a 64-year-old lawyer and former minister of security in the country, campaigned on implementing a crackdown on migration by “closing” the dangerous Darien Gap jungle trail that Panama shares with Colombia, which thousands of migrants from South America and other regions use to reach the United States. Mulino has also vowed to improve Panama’s economy.

The leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Pierre Poilievre, was removed from question period at the Parliament’s House of Commons on Tuesday after condemning radical leftist Justin Trudeau, branding his policies “wacko” and refusing to withdraw the insult. Trudeau responded to Poilievre’s condemnation by referring to him as “spineless” and accusing him of fraternizing with “white nationalist” groups, comments for which Speaker Greg Fergus neither demanded a retraction nor expelled Trudeau from the session. The heated exchange occurred during a debate around Liberal Party support for policies to decriminalize the use of some drugs – and specifically the provincial...

Rep. Val Hoyle (D-OR) said she lectures the “conservative areas of my district” on the necessity of Biden’s open border because illegal immigrants must be imported to do menial labor. “Every one of my farmers knows that the people that are doing backbreaking work in heat, in brutal weather, to put food on our table, they want immigration reform,” Hoyle said in recently unearthed comments during a February press conference. “Our chambers of commerce, they want immigration reform.” The benign term “immigration reform” is commonly used by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and advocates of increased immigration, importation of cheap...

Jeremy Boreing, the CEO of The Daily Wire who announced Candace Owens’s departure from the outlet last Friday, blasted his former employee for using the phrase “Christ is King” to justify her descent into overt anti-Semitism over the last few months. The refrain first gained attention last fall when Owens used it amidst a row with her then-colleague Ben Shapiro. She has since fallen back on it a number of times in order to justify her advancement of various anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

Somewhere along the way, we forgot our reason for being, the Republic’s raison d’etre. And it’s the authoritarians from both parties who are leading the charge to disaster, those ego-obsessed busybodies who keep increasing the strength and size of government to empower themselves at the expense of the people. America’s purpose is not simply the grandeur of our flag, the beauty of our Capitols, breathtaking landscapes, the solemnity of our monuments, or even the might of our armed forces that define us, though these are all aspects of our national identity. There’s so much more at stake.

We have way too many McClellans “If you think you’re going to vote your way out of this you’re wrong.” “They’ll just steal it again.” Folks, I’m about to blow a gasket with these types. Many of these people think they are—-or portray themselves as—-MAGA or “conservatives.” There is nothing whatsoever conservative or MAGA about this worldview. Quite the contrary, if I was a DemoKKKrat I would energetically promote this kind of thinking to suppress MAGA and conservative turnout. It is simply a wrong worldview in several ways. First, it is counter-Biblical. The Bible instructs both Jews and Christians to...

“Can we keep our sons from conservative politics?” That’s the question writer Kathryn Jezer-Morton posed in a recent column for New York Magazine’s The Cut. “In her son’s case, I wouldn’t bet on it,” New York Times columnist Ross Douthat shot back on X. He’s right. Jezer-Morton is facing an age-old conundrum of parenthood: Kids rebel against their parents’ politics. Except, in 2024, the classic trend is being inverted.

San Francisco residents appear to have finally had enough of what they voted for and are now open to embracing some conservative ideas, according to a poll. San Francisco Chamber of Commerce’s annual CityBeat poll was conducted by EMC Research and surveyed 500 likely voters between January 17-21, 2024. The margin of error is ± 4.4 percent, but these numbers are so overwhelmingly one-sided that the margin of error is meaningless.

Liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor is under pressure from fellow liberals to retire amid growing fears she might enable a Republican president to appoint a conservative successor. CNN commentator Josh Barrow became the latest to demand the 69-year-old step down lest she follow in the footsteps liberal Ruth Bader Ginsburg who died while serving at 87 in 2020. That death allowed then-president Donald Trump to cement the court's conservative majority with the appointment of Amy Coney Barrett, and some liberals are determined it will not happen again. 'I'm not saying I think Justice Sotomayor is on death's door,' Barrow...

The three letter agencies of America have decided that so-called “far-right terrorism” is a much bigger problem than any other terrorist threats outside of American soil, with the Department of Defense holding staff event meeting event to discuss the issue. For context, the Defense Department defines terrorism as the “unlawful use of violence or threat of violence to instill fear and coerce governments and societies.” So, instead of worrying about the millions of unchecked illegal immigrants pouring across the Southern border, the U.S. government has focused on what they term “homegrown” terrorism. In other words, any American who supports ‘Making...

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is coming out in support of a bipartisan tax deal scheduled for a vote later on Wednesday. "The Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act is important bipartisan legislation to revive conservative pro-growth tax reform," Johnson said in a statement. "Crucially, the bill also ends a wasteful COVID-era program, saving taxpayers tens of billions of dollars." "Chairman Smith deserves great credit for bringing this bipartisan bill through committee with a strong vote of confidence, and for marking up related bills under regular order earlier in this Congress. This bottom-up process is a good example...

Story from late 2022. Parents are requesting Glenbard School District 87 remove obscene books from the school districts libraries. One parent Cedra Censhaw, a one-time State Senate candidate, tore into school board embers for supporting the inclusion of graphic sexual novels in the district’s libraries. Upon seeing a presentation board filled with graphic sexual imagery from the books at question Crenshaw had created to accompany her comments school board members tried to dissuade her from speaking. “I haven’t even started yet,” Crenshaw said to the board. Two board members chimed in. “No, no, no. I just. If this is about...

For many of his fellow House Republicans, Chip Roy is so conservative that he demands a level of ideological purity from his colleagues that routinely threatens to stall his party’s agenda — like this week when he toyed with ousting House Speaker Mike Johnson over a government funding deal. At the same time, the Austin congressman is being attacked by the MAGA world, cast as a RINO, or Republican in Name Only, for his outspoken criticism of former President Donald Trump and refusal to accept his false claims of a stolen election. *** Roy once again found himself at the...

[Catholic Caucus] When “Inclusive Accompaniment” Means Police BrutalityProbably everyone reading this knows by now that Pope Francis has been very tough on Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, removing him from his see without due canonical process. The main reason, it seems, is that Strickland has outspokenly criticized the constant stream of doctrinal and disciplinary novelties that have marked the present pontificate. And if you read on, you’ll see here that this intolerant crackdown is now extending even to the bishop’s supporters. Is there a touch of paranoia here? The incident described below I think reveals the depth of the enmity...
