In Saturday's weekly address, President Obama declared 2014 the "warmest year on record" and because of that, he furthered, "climate change can no longer be denied -- or ignored." "This winter was cold in parts of our country -- as some folks in Congress like to point out -- but around the world, it was the warmest ever recorded," Obama said. The result, he continued: stronger storms, deeper droughts, and longer wildfire seasons. And with a nod back to his recent statements about how climate change caused his daughter's asthma, Obama warned that the air kids breathe is dangerous.

And I think America is putting too much stock in the 2014 congressional elections, as there seems to be less and less difference in most of the Republican and Democratic parties. It's going to take a lot more than one election to clean up the mess. It's going to take decades and honest, capable leadership, who will tell the American people the unvarnished truth, and I'm not sure they're ready for that.

Since 2007 the price of food around the world has just about doubled. Bad harvests, inflation, or George Bush didn't cause this price increase. According to a secret report from the World Bank, reported in the UK's Guardian, 75% of the increase in price has one source: "Biofuels."
