California Attorney General Rob Bonta’s war on parents scored a victory earlier this month when a judge issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Chino Valley Unified School District’s policy requiring parents to be notified if their child starts switching gender at schools

A judge on Wednesday halted a Southern California school district from requiring parents to be notified if their children change their gender identification or pronouns at school. San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Thomas S. Garza ruled after California Attorney General Rob Bonta sued the Chino Valley Unified School District for adopting a policy requiring schools to tell parents when their children change their pronouns or use a bathroom of a gender other than the one listed on their official paperwork. California Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta filed a lawsuit Monday against the Chino school district, ordering an end to a policy that requires notifying parents if their children change their gender identity, alleging it is discriminatory and violates civil rights and privacy laws. The “parental notification” policy, which has been proposed by a handful of conservative-leaning districts in California, puts transgender and gender nonconforming students in “danger of imminent, irreparable harm” by potentially forcibly “outing” them at home before they’re ready, according to the lawsuit. “They are in real fear that the district’s policy will force them to make a choice:...

California Attorney General Rob Bonta has opened an investigation into the Chino Valley Unified School District, which authorized notification to parents if a child starts to identify as a different gender. Bonta claims he “has a substantial interest in protecting the legal rights, physical safety, and mental health of children in California schools.” Notably and maybe a little ironic, AG Bonta and Gov. Gavin Newsom are directing the Attorney general’s substantial taxpayer funded resources at parents over their concerns about inappropriate curriculum in public schools, while ignoring credible threats from the illegal Chinese-owned bio lab in Reedley, California.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta today announced opening a civil rights investigation into potential legal violations by the Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD), which adopted a policy that forces schools to “out” students whose gender identities may be changing. Enacted in July, the “Parental Notification Policy” requires schools to inform parents, with minimal exceptions, whenever a student requests to use a name or pronoun different from that on their birth certificate or official records, even if such disclosure is against the student’s wishes or could expose a student to parental abuse or increase their risk of self-harm or suicide

A local school board president in California has been inundated with threats that left-wing activists will dismember her, kill her children, and slaughter her pets. Her crime? Saying that teachers should not keep parents in the dark if their children begin to “identify” as transgender. The new Chino Valley (California) Unified School District Board of Education policy states that school officials will notify parents in writing within three days if a child seeks to “identify” as a gender “other than the student’s biological sex,” use different pronouns, adopt a different name, or use the restroom or join a sports team...

The Chino City Council is calling for the resignation of San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Cara Hutson for her “reckless judicial rulings,” after reducing the bail of a man who went on to kill Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Isaiah Cordero, 32. The city council on Tuesday voted to send a letter to Judge R. Glenn Yabuno, presiding judge of the Superior Court, stating that the stakes were too high to allow her to rule on another case involving a violent repeat offender. The city council also approved letters to be sent to State Senator Susan Rubio and Assemblyman Freddie...

NEW HAVEN, CT — At last year's motorcycle event, around 10,000 people showed up in New Haven and police said that at best it was "disruptive" and at worst, was both dangerous and chaotic. Now, the city and police are bracing for thousands of bikers and aficionados to turn out this weekend on Forbes Avenue, despite the fact that the exhibition is illegal. But organizers from EastCoastin'say that it's happening anyway and that they will not cancel. "No matter what we say people are gonna come. It is what it is at this point," representatives of EastCoastin' said in a...

California lawmakers are debating whether to adopt a bill that would require California’s public universities and colleges to offer abortion drugs at their health centers. Senate Bill 320, sponsored by state Sen. Connie Leyva, D-Chino, will mandate that the state’s community colleges and public universities provide women with abortion pills for up to 10 weeks of pregnancy so they don’t face the “burden” of traveling to obtain an abortion. While the bill—if passed—isn’t set to take effect until 2020, it would also require the state’s public university health centers that don’t already offer abortion pills to provide transportation to an...
