There's disturbing news to report surrounding the Los Angeles County, California Department of Children's and Family Services, where Hollywood resident and adoption manager Carlos Castillo was busted as part of a child pornography circuit sting.

A 54-year-old man who works as an adoption manager with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has been arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography, police said Tuesday. Police arrived about 5 a.m. to raid Carlos Castillo’s Hollywood apartment, which he shares with his longtime partner, neighbors in the building told KTLA. A man previously arrested on child pornography charges worked as a case manager at a major child detention center located in Brownsville, Texas, according to a Wednesday exposé by Texas Monthly. Ernesto Padron is a former Border Patrol agent who was forced to resign from the agency in 2010 after being charged with possession of child pornography, which is a second-degree felony. The Department of Justice today announced the arrest of more than 2,300 suspected online child sex offenders during a three-month, nationwide, operation conducted by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task forces. The task forces identified 195 offenders who either produced child pornography or committed child sexual abuse, and 383 children who suffered recent, ongoing, or historical sexual abuse or production of child pornography. DENTON, Md. (ABC7) — A US Secret Service Uniformed Division Officer has been arrested and is facing child pornography charges in Caroline County. According to the Maryland State Police, Jeffrey Litteral, 52, was arrested Tuesday evening at his home in Denton. In 2017, an investigator with the Criminal Enforcement Division of the Maryland State Police initially received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography potentially being uploaded on the Internet, a press release states. Former "Glee" actor Mark Salling reportedly is dead from an apparent suicide. Salling, 35, was found at the Los Angeles River in the Sunland section of Los Angeles, near his home, TMZ.com reported. New Braunfels police arrested a man Tuesday after an 11-year-old girl said someone took a photo of her underneath a bathroom stall. The case stems from an incident at a New Braunfels Wal-Mart on Aug. 12, according to police. Officers were called to the store after the girl told her parents what happened, authorities said. Former “Glee” actor Mark Salling has reached a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to possession of child pornography. The plea agreement filed Tuesday in federal court in Los Angeles states the actor is admitting he possessed images of prepubescent children. The agreement states a search warrant found more than 50,000 images of child porn on Salling’s computer and a thumb drive. Prosecutors and Salling have agreed to ask a judge to sentence the actor to a prison term between four to seven years.

A California deputy attorney general pleaded not guilty to charges related to possession of child pornography, according to reports Thursday. Raymond Joseph Liddy was arrested Tuesday but was later released after posting a $100,000 bond. The secret Elysium website had 87,000 members and was launched on the internet in December, prosecutors say. The suspected ringleader, a 39-year-old man, was arrested in the state of Hesse.
