Most of the times, it is better off if the sequel to a movie was not made. There are probably a few movies that would have been nice to have one. Which movie(s) do you think should have had a sequel?

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil — The fireworks began at dawn. All around this city, loud pops and bangs rang out as men and women and children, so many dressed in yellow, set off flares and beeped car horns. It was supposed to be a magical day. The Brazilian national soccer team, playing at home, was one game away from a World Cup final. No one could have guessed the tears would come before halftime. No one could have imagined there would be flags burning in the streets before dinner. Certainly no one could have envisioned that any Brazilian fans, watching their...

Novak Djokovic clutched the most coveted award in his sport, the gilded silver, two-handled trophy presented to the winner of the Wimbledon men’s singles title. “The All England Lawn Tennis Club Single Handed Championship of the World,” the inscription on it reads. The name of every winner is etched on the urn or, since 2009, on a detachable base added when the trophy ran out of room. No name appears more than Roger Federer’s, which had been etched seven times. Djokovic nearly let it happen again Sunday by blowing a huge fourth-set lead before he captured a taut fifth set...

[....] Last month, the launch of Russia's Proton-M booster also ended in failure, and the same type of rocket also failed at launch last July, leading to the loss of three navigation satellites.

Hunt down your favorite label of rye, and keep an extra bottle in your cabinet. Due to market forces beyond our control, the great whiskey drought of the 2010’s will soon be upon us. I know what you’re thinking: Is this how the apocalypse arrives? Peter Venkman probably articulated the magnitude of this news better than anyone: Biblical Proportions But… There is some good that will come from all this. If you happen to know a hipster liberal who looks down their nose at you, because they’re too busy sipping some obscure brand of whiskey, you might be able to...

Police Tuesday identified the man who died after falling or being pulled into a wood chipper at a work site in Davie. Hernan Gutierrez, 42, whose last known address was in Hallandale Beach worked for Tree Techs, Inc. of Pembroke Pines, according to Davie Police Capt. Dale Engle. Police and federal occupational safety officials are continuing to investigate the incident. Soccer star Hope Solo pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges this afternoon in Kirkland Municipal Court. City prosecutors asked for a bail of $5,000 and no-contact order between Solo and the alleged victims. However, Kirkland Municipal Court Judge Michael J. Lambo allowed Solo to be released on her own recognizance after her attorney, Todd Maybrown, argued that she had no prior arrests and was not a flight risk. The judge also ordered Solo to not consume alcohol as a condition of her release. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Aug. 11. Among those seated in court was Jerramy Stevens,...
