I was notified several weeks ago to report for Jury Duty today. A responsibility of all American citizens and one that I was proudly called to be a part of. I am a resident of Gwinnett County Georgia. In the process, we were shown a 12-minute video explaining why it was a civic responsibility of all Americans. First of all, the video was over 10 years old, but most glaringly, it was filled with multiple false statements. One of the most glaring false comments that stuck with me was that they said America is a Federated Democracy. I did my...

A gunman has been arrested after pulling a firearm on a Pennsylvania pastor over the weekend in the middle of a sermon in a terrifying caught-on-camera ordeal. Bernard Polite, 26, was nabbed after trying to shoot pastor Glenn Germany at the Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock on Sunday afternoon, cops said. A terrifying livestream of the ordeal showed the pastor ducking for cover as the perp brandished the weapon. (Video at link)

@RepThomasMassie I once had breakfast with Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and about 18 other members of Congress in a private room at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington DC. He was invited to speak on the topic of “restoring the constitutional balance of government.” At the time of that breakfast with Scalia, John Boehner was Speaker of the House and Barack Obama was President. There was concern that Obama was doing things we hadn’t authorized and Boehner had convinced most of my GOP colleagues there wasn’t anything we could do about it. Scalia finished his breakfast and began to...

Russia will have to increase its entire missile arsenal to deter the West as Moscow is now in an open confrontation with the United States and its allies, a Russian diplomat was quoted as saying on Monday. President Vladimir Putin's 2022 invasion of Ukraine touched off the worst breakdown in relations between Russia and the West since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, according to Russian and U.S. diplomats. Russia has ramped up weapons production and is now forecast by the United States to manufacture this year more artillery than all of NATO's 32 members combined. "We are now at the...

Florida passed a law requiring hospitals to publicize the costs of unpaid care for migrants, and the reports thus far show that the loss to the state’s hospitals is a massive $566 million just in 2024 — and taxpayers are picking up much of that loss.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has continued his deranged nuclear warnings to the West, warning Prime Minister Rishi Sunak that London's iconic No.10 Downing Street is on a hit list. Russian president Vladimir Putin has today ordered nuclear missile firing drills and warned not even Downing Street will be safe. He told defence minister Sergei Shoigu to prepare exercises in the near future "in order to increase the readiness of non-strategic nuclear forces to fulfil combat missions." A Russian defence minister said it would involve land, air and naval forces. A ministry spokesperson said: "A set of measures will be taken...

In a stunning admission, Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team is admitting that key evidence in former President Donald Trump’s classified documents criminal case was altered or manipulated since it was seized by the FBI, and that prosecutors misled the court about it for a period of time.

GOOSE, MEET GANDER — The indictment of Rep. HENRY CUELLAR (D-Texas) on Friday not only sidelined an outspoken moderate lawmaker and put a potentially flippable seat on the 2024 map, it picked at a scab that’s festered inside the House GOP for months. Faced with the endless drumbeat of embarrassments from Rep. GEORGE SANTOS (R-N.Y.), 105 Republicans joined with Democrats in December to expel him from Congress. Kicking him out before he’d been convicted of any crime broke with House precedent and was seen by many in the GOP as a self-inflicted wound, cutting their already thin majority even thinner....

A pro-Palestinian encampment in the middle of USC's main campus was cleared Sunday morning by officers with the Los Angeles Police Department and USC's Department of Public Safety, ending a high-profile demonstration that began in April. No arrests or major confrontations were reported. The encampment clean-up began round 4:30 a.m. although USC Annenberg Media reported at 3:51 a.m. that university police officers told student reporters they planned to come in around 4 a.m. and had set up a staging area for the media, which they alleged was too far away to witness any arrests.

The United States Military Academy at West Point is introducing a new curriculum that includes courses on “deconstructing patriotism,” “cross-dressing in the military,” and other topics related to gender norms and representation. These courses are part of a broader initiative by the Biden regime to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) propaganda into the curriculum over duty, honor, and country. Former Navy SEAL and Representative Scott Taylor (R-VA) tweeted his concerns after the curriculum was reportedly shared with him, stating, “This was sent to me, classes at U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Quite sure China and Russia are not...

@RepThomasMassie Side tracked? The spending bill is due September 30, and they’re already talking about more money for Ukraine. Schumer has more on his agenda and Johnson is doing his bidding. If we don’t address this now, there certainly won’t be any desire to address it after Nov elections.

Russia has blamed the "hostility" of Baltic states for them severing most of their ties with the country. "Because of the openly hostile line of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn, all interstate, interdepartmental, regional and sectoral ties with Russia have been severed," said Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharov on Sunday. She warned Moscow would respond with asymmetric measures, though did not specify exactly what the Baltics had supposedly done. "We will also respond to the hostile actions of the Baltic states with asymmetrical measures, primarily in the economic and transit spheres," Zakharov detailed. Russia's 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine has...

The US Army's new manual on Russian tactics is an impressive-looking document. It's 280 pages packed with details and diagrams of how Russian soldiers are supposed to fight. It is also evidence of a major reason why Russian troops have often fought poorly in the Ukraine war: they are not following their own playbook. "A lot of the basic elements of that doctrine are sound enough that they could form a basis for successful operations," Scott Boston, a Russia military expert for the RAND Corp. think tank, told Business Insider. "But you do have to follow them." To be clear,...

May 9 parades across other regions in Russia have been cancelled this year over 'security concerns'. VLADIMIR Putin paraded nuclear missile launchers, tanks and thousands of war-ready troops this morning ahead of his triumphant Victory Day event. -snip- Ahead of the patriotic event, Russia's fearsome intercontinental nuclear missiles were pulled through the capital's streets in a show of force to the West. Huge columns of troops marched towards the Red Square and even children in oversized battledress joined in the military festivities. The real events will be held on Thursday under intense security, with reports suggesting that Moscow's centrepiece show...

On March 6, 1981, Marianne Bachmeier smuggled a Beretta 70 handgun into the Lubeck District court, in Germany. Klaus Grabowski was to be sentenced for kidnapping, raping, and killing Bachmeier's seven-year-old daughter. She calmly pulled out the Beretta and shot Grabowski in the back seven times, once for each year of life of her deceased daughter. Grabowski died on the spot. She is Mother of the Century, to me. The Communist Party of Kampuchea (CPK), otherwise known as the Khmer Rouge, took control of Cambodia on April 17, 1975. The CPK created the state of Democratic Kampuchea in 1976 and ruled the country until January 1979. The party’s existence was kept secret until 1977, and no one outside the CPK knew who its leaders were (the leaders called themselves “Angkar Padevat”). While the Khmer Rouge was in power, they set up policies that disregarded human life and produced repression and massacres on a massive scale. They turned the country into a huge detention center, which later became a graveyard...

The founder of Wingify received a unique proposition. "I'll pay you $500 to hire me. If I don't prove myself to be one of the best within a week you can fire me & keep the money," a job applicant wrote to him. Sharing the screenshot on X (formally Twitter) Paras Chopra, founder and chairman of software company Wingify, said he was impressed with the pitch, adding he would obviously not take the money. "This is how you get attention!" he wrote. “Looking forward to your rejection,” the message ended. Opinion in the comments section was divided with some loving...

Tanks and columns of troops are massing in Moscow ahead of Russia's annual Victory Day - timed this year to coincide with Vladimir Putin's latest presidential inauguration after another election victory denounced as a 'sham'. The despot is set for another six years in the Kremlin after emphatically and unsurprisingly winning March's presidential poll, with his new term formally beginning on Tuesday. -snip- Last year's Victory Day parade featured just a single tank, a Second World War-era T-34.
