"Objects in history may be closer than they appear"--Vlad Tepes. For those of us old to remember, the brutal takedown of the false promise of communism, an ideology so evil it survives despite being constantly discredited.

His Democrat Socialism robbed people of their pride, courage, wealth, land, freedom, and destroyed their souls, self-determination, and self-sufficiency A 2016 BBC documentary titled, The King of Communism – The Pomp and Pageantry of Nicolae Ceausescu, focused on Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena’s cult of personality propaganda that helped maintain his brutal Communist Party dictatorship (1965-1989) in the Socialist Republic of Romania, a tyranny that irreparably damaged the soul of a nation. Sadly, the documentary was celebrated by people who still believe in his misery right up to this day. Unfortunately, the old communist ideology has been repackaged for...

Socialists and Communists are not known to be rational thinkers, they are indoctrinated sheeple who memorize and repeat what they are told without questioning, in exchange for special benefits People used to ask me what we ate when I was growing up in communist Eastern Europe. Women were quite thin and beautiful, on the “Ceausescu diet.” We were not just told how much to eat by decree but food was quite scarce and highly rationed. If a person dared to stash more food than the Communist Party deemed necessary, that person paid dearly in fines and eventually jail. Of course...

So what does Chris Matthews foresee for President Trump: hanging by the ankles like Mussolini, or firing squad like Ceausescu? On his MSNBC “Hardball” show, after former acting CIA director John McLaughlin referred to President Trump as a “tyrant,” Matthews says: “Following your lines, I’ve often thought that demagoguery is not a good long-term career move. The only one I know that got a long-time career out of it was [Spain’s Generalissimo] Franco. The rest of them all died hideously.”Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Daniel Ortega, the rabid, "freely elected" dictator of Nicaragua, and a guy who's been at it for so long that even the great Ronald Reagan knew about him and loathed him, has been having some problems in the Cuba-style hellhole he created in the name of "social justice." The socialist thug has been siccing his goons to shoot protesters dead in the streets after a few of the youthful ones got the ball rolling with protests against his long, corrupt rule. Get a load of how bad it was, according to the BBC: Some students said they had been beaten and...

In his latest Facebook post, the two-time Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks urges his legion of fans to see the documentary film “Chuck Norris vs. Communism.” Directed by Ilinca Calugareanu, the film is set in 1980s Romania, under the rule of the notorious Nicolae Ceausescu. It is a testament, Hanks suggested, of “The power of film! To change the world.” Well, film played a role in the transformation of Romania from the communist state it was during Ceausescu’s 22-year reign of repression to the free, democratic society it is today. But it was the power of God that toppled Ceausescu’s...

Hillary Clinton early Monday faced questioning of her use of a private email while secretary of State as she hopes to pull out a win in Iowa, which on Monday becomes the first state to cast votes. The Democratic presidential candidate also touted her bipartisan efforts in the Senate and work with both political parties while secretary of State to cast herself as a uniter. "I know how you get things done. I am a progressive who wants to make progress and actually produce real results in people's lives. That's what I'm offering," Clinton said on CNN's "New Day." "I'm...

Nine senior commanding generals have been fired by the Obama administration this year, leading to speculation by active and retired members of the military that a purge of its commanders is underway. Retired generals and current senior commanders that have spoken with TheBlaze say the administration is not only purging the military of commanders they don’t agree with, but is striking fear in the hearts of those still serving. The timing comes as the five branches of the U.S. armed forces are reducing staff due to budget cuts, and as U.S. troops are expected to withdraw from Afghanistan next year....

Recall from history that one of the Eastern Block’s longest-serving and brutal dictators, Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, fell from power after a single speech in front of his subjects. On December 21, 1989, President Ceausescu spoke from a balcony in Bucharest to a group of about 80,000 Romanians, during which opposition to Ceausescu’s rule galvanized. A few people in the crowd began booing and jeering, totally unheard-of during Ceausescu’s rule. The booing spread, then the crowd began chanting opposition slogans, and eventually charged the presidential building en mass.

Exclusive: Barry Farber says Romanian dictator, Obama 'share a lamentable trait' Just before Christmas of 1989 Ceausescu felt no reason for unease. His Securitate, Communist secret police, kept the nation in fear as effectively as Hitler's Gestapo. His order of lights out at 7 p.m. to save resources drew Romanian profanity, colorful but not deadly. His pet project, a palace that would rival Versailles in senseless grandeur, was progressing on schedule, and Ceausescu used to visit the site often to rub his bare hands over this monument to his greatness. His desperate subjects trying to escape by swimming the Danube...

Obama's order to kill not capture Bin Laden reminds me of a very personal episode from my life. In 1989 the Ceausescu couple was caught and executed by firing squad after a so-called "trial" that lasted less than 4o minutes, sentencing and execution included. No witnesses were allowed for the defendants and no public was present in the room...

Last night President Obama and First Lady Obama dined at State Road Restaurant in West Tisbury on Martha’s Vineyard. Their dinner companions were family friends Dr. Eric and Cheryl Whitaker, senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, and lawyer and business executive Vernon Jordan and wife Ann Dibble Jordan. As they departed the restaurant at 9:55 pm ET, reporters asked the president if he was enjoying his vacation even with the rain. "I'm having a great time,” the president said. “Doing a lot of reading" Among the president’s reading materials is Jonathan Franzen’s “Freedom,” which is not yet on shelves. During a weekend...

I believe it was Jean Giraudoux who first said, "Only the mediocre are always at their best." Barack Obama was supposed to be the best, the very best, and yet he is always, reliably, consistently mediocre. His speech on oil was no better or worse than his speech on race. Yet the Obammyboppers who once squealed with delight are weary of last year's boy band. At the end of the big Oval Office address, Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews and the rest of the MSNBC gang jeered the president. For a bewildered President Obama, it must have felt like his Ceausescu...

One of the classic examples of the failure of politicians to communicate with the citizenry is found in a video of Romanian tyrant Nicolae Ceausescu, giving what turned out to be his last speech to the teeming masses gathered in a square in Bucharest. Oblivious to the mood of the people, Ceausescu is at his bombastic, self-important best until he realizes that the chants from the crowd below are not praise, but something rather to the contrary. The look on his face: priceless. You could say that Sen. Robert Bennett, R-Utah, and Rep. Alan Mollohan, D-W.V., have just experienced their...

On Christmas day 20 years ago, Nicolae Ceausescu – long time dictator of Romania – was, along with his wife Elena, executed by firing squad just days after fleeing Bucharest, while his tyrannical regime unraveled before the eyes of a watching world. His demise and the surrounding events are etched in the memory of those of us who watched it all unfold via various news reports. The look on the once strong-man’s face as a massive crowd began to boo during a speech on December 21st, was one of the defining moments of the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe. ...

A video posted on YouTube appears to show a New Jersey elementary school class being taught to sing praises of the "great accomplishments" of President Obama. Just like Obama, Romania's dictator Ceausescu started as an extremely popular leader. He promised change from the Stalinist type of communism imposed by the Soviets and people put all their hope in him to liberalize and open the country towards the Western world. Just with Obama, the media quickly become Ceausescu's personal lap dog, always praising him and his wife, never criticizing them. Just like with Obama, his cult of personality grew and grew...

"WASHINGTON (Associated Press) : -- The Obama administration says the referendum that cleared the way for Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to run for re-election was democratic. Brainchild of the KGB As Ion Mihai Pacepa, onetime director of the Romanian espionage service (DIE), later explained, the PLO was conceived at a time when the KGB was creating “liberation front” organizations throughout the Third world. Others included the National Liberation Army of Bolivia, created in 1964 with help from Ernesto “Che” Guevara, and the National Liberation Army of Colombia, created in 1965 with help from Fidel Castro. But the PLO was the KGB’s most enduring achievement. In 1964, the first PLO Council, consisting of 422 Palestinian representatives handpicked by the KGB, approved the Soviet blueprint for a Palestinian...
