  • Oh my: New poll of New Hampshire puts John Kasich at 20%, just seven points behind Trump

A Trump/Kasich two-man race for the nomination would, I think, trigger the End Times. And I’m an atheist. I’m not even supposed to believe in the End Times. Are there any conservative voters left in this party?Among Republican voters who say they’re definitely going to vote, Trump leads Kasich by … two points, 24/22. I know what the data nerds are going to say: “That’s an ARG poll and ARG has a C- rating for accuracy from FiveThirtyEight.” Fair enough. Discard it if you like but you can’t ignore the trend in New Hampshire. Go have a look at how...

With the primary just three weeks away, John Kasich appears to be enjoying something of a surge in New Hampshire. The latest ARG poll out of the state shows the Ohio governor enjoying a second place showing with 20% support. Trump leads the first-in-primary state (Iowa’s caucus is a week earlier) with 27%.

Is Trump warming to Kasich as his running mate after the last debate? If Donald Trump manages to win the Republican presidential nomination (and this is becoming less of an “if” with each passing day), then he must select a vice-presidential running mate. Surely it will be tough for The Donald to share the national ticket with anyone, but at least he will still be on top. With this decision potentially on the horizon, did Trump spontaneously drop a hint about who could be on his veep short-list during Thursday night’s Republican debate? The answer is yes. • Donald Trump Leads John Kasich by 15 Points in New Hampshire – 30-15%

The Granite State holds its primaries in less a month, and Donald Trump has a commanding lead in the state, beating John Kasich by 15 points. While Kasich has been doing poorly in both statewide, and national polling, he seems to be doing quite well in New Hampshire. His 15% gives him enough support to take at least a few of the available delegates. Donald Trump looks to take the majority of delegates, especially if Chris Christie and Ted Cruz stay below the 10% viability threshold.

  • Poll: Kasich now tied for second with Cruz in New Hampshire as Rubio drops to fourth

That Rubio surge is coming annnnny minute now. In fairness, he's only two points behind Kasich and Cruz in a poll with a margin of error of 4.8 percent, so he's effectively tied for second. On the other hand, how many Rubio fans are excited to find him battling John Effin' Kasich for center-right votes less than a month from primary day?

Reacting to the removal of muslim activist Rose Hamid, John Kasich says that the Trump rallygoers are "not the Republican Party." JOHN KASICH: I saw a crowd booing this woman who was being escorted. That’s not the spirit of Jack Kemp. I mean, we are people that can tolerate differences and respect people, and this is nonsense. That is not the Republican Party. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z7fGQNQgmQ

Ohio governor John Kasich lectured supporters of Donald Trump for booing a Muslim woman who was booted from a rally last night. As protesters interrupted a panel forum where Kasich and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% were speaking, Rubio jokingly hinted that perhaps they should resort to Trump-style tactics to deal with them. Rubio tried to resume his answer to a question, but Kasich interrupted. "I don't want to take over here ... I was on television this morning and I saw a crowd booing this woman who was being escorted," he said, alluding to Trump. "That's not the spirit...
  • New NH1 News Poll: Donald Trump leads in NH but Jeb Bush narrowly edges John Kasich for 2nd

A new, independent poll done for NH1 News has Republican Donald Trump well out in front but Jeb Bush slipping into second for the first time in months. The upward blip for the former Florida Governor Bush comes when the poll surveys both Republicans and independents likely to vote in the Feb. 9 primary. But in staggering fashion, Trump crushes the field and even more startling he opens up an even bigger lead when only women voters are surveyed. REACH Communications did the random telephone poll on Thursday of 1,000 Republicans and independents. The margin of error for the poll...

Public Policy Polling's new survey of New Hampshire shows Donald Trump leading the GOP presidential field, with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio trailing in second place. Trump leads the Granite State poll with the support of 29 percent of those surveyed, followed by Rubio at 15 percentage points, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Ohio Gov. John Kasich tied at 11 points, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz tied at 10 points. When the race is narrowed to Trump, Rubio, and Cruz, Trump's lead over Rubio slims to just two percentage points, 36-34. "If the Republican...
  • Hillary Clinton Will Finish Third In Iowa, Behind Bernie Sanders and O'Malley. Here's Why

There's a reason Hillary Clinton finished third in the 2008 Iowa Caucus, behind Barack Obama and John Edwards. In addition to her costly vote supporting the war in Iraq, Clinton has always pleaded "guilty" to being a moderate. It's this centrism (even when progressive values are now popular throughout the nation) that fuels questions about why she opposed gay marriage or as The Huffington Post writes, accepted "$133,246 to the Ready for Hillary PAC" from major prison lobbyists. The Iowa Caucus was once labeled as part of the Democratic Party's "extremes" by Hillary Clinton in a recently disclosed State Department...

  • Missouri mailer grades neighbors' voting records [origin of Cruz mailer?]

A voter report card mailer is grading residents on how often they vote compared to their neighbors and some Missourians aren't happy. Grow Missouri sent the mailers the week before the Nov. 4 election to spur residents into voting during the first general election in nearly a quarter-century featuring no race for president, U.S. Senate or governor. The group is financed by investment firm founder Rex Sinquefield, the state's most prominent political donor. The voter report cards give letter grades to voters based on participation and then list neighbors' scores. The mailer says it might issue another report after the...
  • The Best Pollster In Iowa Just Released Its Final Survey - How Accurate Has It Been?

The final Des Moines Register poll was just released, showing Donald Trump leading the Republican field in Iowa with 28 percent, Ted Cruz with 23 percent and Marco Rubio with 15 percent. Hillary Clinton was ahead of Bernie Sanders, 45 percent to 42 percent, on the Democratic side. The political world - us included - was eagerly awaiting this survey, as Ann Selzer, who has conducted the Register's polls since the 1988 caucuses, has a very good track record. But just how predictive of the final results have Selzer's polls been? History suggests they're a good indicator of what will...

Glenn Beck then goes on to say the deal with Mitch is why he dropped support for Rand Paul and yet supports Ted Cruz. Here’s the problem…. Actually, here’s the lie… Senator Rand Paul and Senator Ted Cruz made the same deal, together, at exactly the same time. Stop – Repeat ! “The deal”, as Beck describes it, was actually real – and did actually take place. The deal was to go along with Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell’s overall objectives, electoral objectives AND legislative objectives, as the GOP entered into the 2014 mid-term election cycle. The deal, which few...
