Carson Willing to Step Down as Commencement Speaker After Protests 29 Mar 2013 Greg Richter. A pediatric neurosurgeon who has become the darling of conservatives since speaking against nationalized healthcare is now under fire for comments he made about same-sex marriage. Dr. Benjamin Carson told “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on Friday that he would be willing to step down as commencement speaker at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine after faculty and students signed petitions asking that he not speak. “I would say this is their day, and the last thing I would want to do is rain on their...

On Sean Hannity’s Fox News program earlier this week, Dr. Ben Carson, the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, offered his view on the hot-button issue of the week, same-sex marriage. According to Carson, marriage is defined as between one man and one woman, what he called a “well-established, fundamental pillar of society.” And Carson said this institution could not be redefined by any group, including proponents of bestiality and pedophilia. Invoking those groups drew the ire of many, but Carson went on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” to clarify his remarks, which he apologized to those who took...

Toure Calls Ben Carson A Token Negro, Liberals don't want Blacks thinking for themselves.
-
Toure prefers to go only by his first name. But henceforth, perhaps the MSNBC contributor might wish to append to his name the prefix "Young Fool"—for that is what Rush Limbaugh repeatedly called him today. Rush was responding to Toure's characterization of Dr. Ben Carson as a token, a "black friend" used by Republicans "to assuage their guilt." Listen to the edited audio clip here.

His wisdom and qualifications are at the top of the list. The fact that his nomination will reveal the vile underbelly of the Democratic Party race-card machine is an added bonus. From Nolan Finley in The Detroit News, Detroit native Carson could break barriers in Senate race (emphasis added):

Ben Carson, a neurosurgeon who drew conservative attention following his controversial National Prayer Breakfast speech, said on Saturday that he's retiring from medicine and suggested he could enter politics. In a question-and-answer session following his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Carson announced that he is retiring from medicine because he wants "to quit while I'm at the top of my game, and there are so many more things that could be done." Asked whether he planned to run for office, he demurred, saying he wants to focus on education — but at one point added, "but who...

President Obama will formally inaugurate Organizing for Action, his newly-formed independent advocacy group, with a headline speech Wednesday night before the group's Founders' Summit in Washington. Obama's appearance, confirmed to ABC News by an OFA official, will be his first in-person with the group's core team of advisers, donors and grassroots organizers since its formation following the 2012 election. It comes as Obama seeks to re-energize his expansive grassroots campaign infrastructure around top second-term priorities - from new gun-control measures to comprehensive immigration reform and a plan to replace sequester - and cement the foundation for his presidential legacy. The...

Offer free reverse-lobotomies? Probably not. This is a rant. So sue me. A Hell of a Lot!The problemsAn article at American Thinker is titled Three Reasons Conservatives are Losing the Battle for America. Although it struck me as excessively repetitive it's probably correct for the most part and well worth reading. The "legitimate media"(AKA Department of Information) are substantially dominated by libruls and present all of the news that fits their world view. Libruls want nothing to do with anything, or anybody, conservative and shut their ears, eyes and therefore minds accordingly. Political correctness is running amok, which limits not...

The renowned doctor reacts to the furor over his National Prayer Breakfast speech. Dr. Ben Carson, a renowned pediatric neurosurgeon who helped lead the first surgery separating twins joined at the head, has received a fair amount of attention in his 61 years. But none of it before begins to compare to the response he has gotten since he spoke at the February 7 National Prayer Breakfast with President Obama sitting five feet away. While most of his remarks were motivational or spiritual, he made some pointed political comments about the need for freer markets in health care and a...

DR. BENJAMIN CARSON: There are a group of people who would like to silence everybody and have everybody go along to get along, but that's not going to be very helpful for us in the long run, in terms of solving our problems. And somebody has to be courageous enough to actually stand up to, you know, the bullies.

In case the link was buried and lost in previous threads, this is the Youtube video Here of Dr. Benjamin Carson's talk this morning at the congressional prayer breakfast in which he virtually destroys much of what Obama stands for, from political correctness to punishing the rich and successful to Obamacare - while Obama has to sit there and listen to the whole presentation - and the libs can't even demonize the good doctor as being racist..... No wonder Obama wants everyone to believe that what's said at prayer breakfasts is always forgotten before the day is done.........
