A Sioux City woman has been charged with knowingly giving HIV to a sexual partner earlier this year. 46-year-old Leslie Flaggs faces a felony count of criminal transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. According to court records, Flaggs told police she knew she had HIV because she tested positive for the virus in April and December 2006. In late April, after having unprotected sex with her partner numerous times, Flaggs told her partner she had HIV.
