Rep. Peter King appeared on Fox News this morning and stated that David Petraeus testified that the original CIA talking points about Benghazzi indicated it was a terrorist act and cited al Qaeda involvement. Somewhere after leaving CIA, the talking points were changed. He did not know who changed them.

Forty-nine percent of likely voters said they would vote for Romney and 46 percent said they favored Obama, results of the UPI-CVoter poll indicated. For the first time since UPI/C-Voter began polling for the 2012 election cycle, Obama's approval and disapproval rating were the same: 48 percent. Until this latest poll, approval ratings by registered voters were higher than his disapproval ratings for Obama's performance as president. Registered voters also took Obama to task when asked to rank his performance on a scale of zero to 10, with zero being the worst and 10 the best. Voters judged Obama at...

This was a PPP poll for Kos/SEIU conducted 10/12-14 of likely voters (previous results in parenthesis): The candidates for President are Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. If the election was today, who would you vote for? Obama 46 (47) Romney 50 (49) At a time when other polls are moving back in the president's direction, our own weekly poll by Public Policy Polling saw the opposite—a two-point Romney gain. "Lincoln" is due for limited release November 9 and timed for the Hollywood awards season. "Don't let this political football play back and forth," the Oscar-winning director said he urged distributors, noting the "confusing" aspect in the film that shows how U.S. political parties back in Lincoln's time "traded political places over the last 150 years." In contrast to today, the Republican party to which Lincoln belonged was founded by anti-slavery activists and Republicans were often tagged "radicals."

The Obama administration is weighing the release of blind Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman — the spiritual adviser to the 1993 World Trade Center bombers — in a stunning goodwill gesture toward Egypt that has touched off a political firestorm, officials said yesterday. The Egyptian government “asked for his release,” an administration source told The Post — and Rep. Peter King (R-LI) confirmed the request is being considered. The White House, State Department and Justice Department each issued statements denying any deal is in the works, but, “There’s no way to believe anything they say,” said Andrew McCarthy, the former assistant US...

President Obama and Mitt Romney continue to run nearly dead even in the key swing state of Ohio. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Ohio Voters shows the president earning 47% support to Romney’s 46%. Three percent (3%) like some other candidate, and another three percent (3%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Half the nation’s voters now trust Mitt Romney more than President Obama when it comes to dealing with the troubled U.S. economy, the number one issue on their minds as they go to the polls. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters trust Romney more when it comes to handling the economy. Forty-three percent (43%) trust the president more. (To see survey question wording, click here.) Although Romney has consistently led the president in regular surveying when it comes to the economy, this is the highest level of trust he’s earned since May...
