This was a PPP poll for Kos/SEIU conducted 10/12-14 of likely voters (previous results in parenthesis):
The candidates for President are Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. If the election was today, who would you vote for?
Obama 46 (47)
Romney 50 (49)
At a time when other polls are moving back in the president's direction, our own weekly poll by Public Policy Polling saw the oppositea two-point Romney gain. Per day:
Friday (38%) Obama 47, Romney 49
Saturday (39%) Obama 49, Romney 47
Sunday (24%) Obama 43, Romney 55
“At a time when other polls are moving back in the president’s direction...”
What polls are moving in the other direction?
50% the magic number!! :)
Unless Obama wets himself on stage tonight, the Democrat media will declare him the winner. They won’t allow another defeat unless it is glaringly obvious that he lost.
Have you prayer for Romney’s success? It will take divine intervention for him to win the second time.
Internals and their trend? D/R/I?
I would guess all those with over 4 points weighting in favor of the dims.
LOL. They are near suicidal so they have to grasp at straws. Keep telling yourself that polls are moving in the president's direction. I guess if you are the Washington Post and have a D+9 sample, the poll will show a slight lead for the president.
Yes. Pray for Mitt. The media is lined up to declare him the loser. He needs to be more on his game tonight than the first debate. One “wrong move” and the MSM will attempt a full stop on his momentum. Look for “women’s issues” to be the core basis for the MSM attacks.
I don’t think what Obama does matters anymore. Voters are watching Romney, giving him the benefit of the doubt, and hoping he can close the deal.
The last words from my lips last night and the first this morning. I NEVER underestimate the power of prayer :-)
If it's there, I don't see it. Extrapolating things out, looks like it was of approx 1600 likely voters. No D/R/I breakdown but they do say 44 pct of respondents were conservative vs 16 pct liberal.
It's also got Romney up 50-47 in "swing states."
Yes. Prayed this morning and will keep praying throughout the day.
This is just a get out the Rat vote poll. No one has Ronmey up 4, wish is were true.
The only numbers moving up for Obama is the number of likely democratic voters needed to make him not look like a loser in the polls!!!!
I think you are right. In listening to “undecideds” interviewed after prior debates, one negative for Romney is lack of specificity. If he can get out from under the “you lied about your tax plan for the past 18 months” meme and can show SOME specificity other than “closing loopholes”, I think he can close the deal with a great number of undecideds. The folks know Obama has failed so far and Romney is showing he is not the villain portrayed by the left.
Almost enough to make you think they’re prepping for the big “Obama’s comeback, surging in the polls” stories they’ve got ready to run after tonight’s debate.
Do you guys ever get tired of living the lives of perpetual losers?
No matter what people do, some people on FR just live in fear of the big bad press like they are all powerful.
ping to post #22..... :P
I agree. People disenchanted with Obama are looking at Romney and asking themselves "How comfortable would I be with this guy being President". Romney just needs to maintain a presidential attitude on stage.
If Obama has a public psychotic episode on national TV, then that's just a bonus.
Dont really trust this bunch but hey at least it’s positive. Anyway to give us the R and D breakdown?
Thanks!
They are setting up the scenerio, where tonight's debate will be declared in O's favor, and the polls will show a huge landslide towards Obama.. just watch..
I guess they're referencing that WaPo/ABC (D) "Poll" that shows Obama leading by three with a D+9 sample.
The following is from Gallup:
The Gallup survey found that 40 percent of Americans consider themselves conservative; 35 percent consider themselves moderate; and 21 percent see themselves as liberal. The figures did not change from 2010.

What’s really scary is that the polls are still fairly close. You would think after 4 years of socialism, it would be 70/30 in favor of Romney. Alas, that’s the old America, we may have already passed the point of no return.
Don’t know about this poll getting out the rat vote since it could as easily discourage them. Democrats and liberals exist on pure emotion, that’s why their leaders are so bent on whipping them into a frenzy on each and every issue. I would think they would want their troops excited and hopeful rather than depressed and fearful as these numbers could make them
Even in “old America” did anybody ever get 70% of the vote? Only a handful of incumbent Presidents have lost biding for a second term.
Why, is the "magic negro" somehow magically, going to become smart?
Oh, do you mean baby-killing?
Simply put - ignore PPP polls.
I hear you...I too did that last night and first thing this morning when I got up. I’ve been awaking in the middle of the night to pray for Romney. It’s like if the Lord is telling us tonight will be a battle between Good and evil! The demon hordes will be there in full force. Father in Jesus name we ask for guidance, the wisdom of Solomon and you Favor upon Romney tonight. Let the blinders fall off the American people and see the evilness of Obama. Let Obama stumble on his words of lies and may they stick to the roof of his mouth. Shut the mouth of the roaring lying evil man-lion...by the Blood of the Lamb we pray! Remember to fast a meal and pray..God honors the small humble sacrifices of his people!
oops, meant Awaken not awaking
Cool! Thanks for the ping.
