I remember going to a Piggly Wiggly as a five year old with my mother in the early ‘50s in Lafayette, IN. We would walk the few blocks to the store and pick up frash food for dinner. Those were the days.
I just had cataract surgery on both eyes and can now see without glasses. The surgery was a piece of cake and I noticed a dramatic improvment. The only problem was when I only had one eye that was corrected, it made it difficult to see out of both eyes. I opted for the simple lenses so I will need reading glasses but it was much cheaper that way.
I never had any trouble with my Glucose levels until I started working 2300-0900 shift four days a week. Before the night shift my levels were at 100-101 at all times. After a year and a half of the night shift I had developed Type 2. Now I go through the daily shot routine and my levels can go as high as 250.
I was in the shower when the VA quake hit (I live in Fredericksburg). It was quite a jolt for the East Coast. but not bad compared to some that I have been through in Tokyo.
I don't know if the place still exists. but Bill Hasst had a anti-venom producing thing going on in FL on A1A. There was also a book out about him called 'Cobras In His Garden' SF
That works as long as you cover people who already are insured and have a preexisting condition like I do. Some sort of grandfathering would be necessary for those individuals.
