    huh.. what are you smoking...

nothing at all “illegal” about retaliating for Iran’s stealth drone infiltration into Israel’s Galilee region.

re gaza the only extreme factors i see there are hamas and the many gazans trying to cross Israel’s international border.. do that and you’re going to get shot..as for illegal it’s illegal to force your way over an international border.

    Go back to sleep.

Russia is supporting Lebanon/Iran/Syria/Arabs/Islamics/Hezbollah etc against Israel.

Russia is and always was an enemy of the Jews. From the pogroms to today.

Israel should destroy every Russian military airbase in Syria and Lebanon.

Then Israel should destroy every Iranian base in Syria and leave Syria to destroy itself.

Game is up. Truth must be told. No more mister nice guy.

Putin is KGB/Soviet style enemy of the West and the Jews the Yehudis children of Abraham Isaac and Joseph.

May God protect the IAF and IDF and heal the 2 injured pilots.

    Australian Jews are conservative.
    South African Jews are conservative.
    South American Jews are conservative.
    British Jews are conservative.
Israeli Jews are conservative as thankfully shown now by the last election.
American Jews are thankfully slowly starting to become more conservative. May be too late though.
It is the liberal American Jews who are not conservative and who are out of step with their fellows and with healthy society. And it is their own lifestyles which will eventually remove them from the human gene pool. They are a shrinking group no matter how much money or influence they do or do not have. Shrink away.

Looks like a powerful MTB. Big on anti air protection. Looks like an earlier Merkava MTB with modern up to date composite armour. It has that smaller turret which is narrower and angle and yeh it does look like it has a shot trap point between the turret and the tank body which may be advantageous to the enemy.

The Arab who was killed by Israeli youths.. well shame. In context.. that is after 3 Israelis were kidnapped and murdered by Palis. And after the Arabs celebrated this. And after the weak Israeli govt does f-all. So summin must be done. I don’t blame those Israelis for taking out that Arab, they see nothing is done and they did something, at least they are doing something. Arabs when they are lashing out at you, only understand strong action in return.

Christianity was around before Islam. The anti Jewishness of Christian Missionaries and of Shakespeare is rooted in the anti Jewishness in the Christian New Testament. As interpreted by Christians. Hence the persecution of Jews in Europe over the past 1,900 years. The New Testament has Jesus saying that he came not to abolish the Law, what Law? The Torah. The 5 Books of Moses the Prophet of God. And these books say that God will not replace the Torah. Yet Christians then renamed the Torah as “old”, ie replaceable, and indeed replaced, it with a man-made “new” version. Man-made? Read the Gospels to witness the contradictions between them, describing the same events. The Gospels would be dismissed in a man-made court system of law, never mind a Divine one. Read Acts to witness the numerous contradictions between Acts and Genesis, bearing in mind that Genesis preceded Acts, therefore Acts should not contradict Genesis yet it does and is thus not a Divine document at all. Christians then used this “new” man-made script to persecute the Jews. This did not happen in India where Hinduism reigned and where Hinduism did not try replace the Torah and did not preach anti Jewish sermons.

Probably because the average Jewish American voter today knows less about Judaism and Israel and spirituality than a Jewish Torah observant toddler. These morally rudderless American Jews are often successful in business, but their lacking in Torah knowledge means that they stand for everything that is anti-Torah: they are pro-abortion, anti-guns, anti self-defence, etc. As a result they end up not caring for Israel or become anti Israel. This means that voting for Obama comes naturally to them. The Jewish Scriptures mention this (anti Jewish Jews) at a time in the world such as we are in now.

Muslims demonize Jews constantly in the Arab world, so they could say something like that. So could Christian Neo-Nazis if they choose to use Revelations 2:9 “...I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.” (NIV).

I think this is exactly God’s plan.

To force the Jews to turn to him, to make them realise they only have Him to rely on, not their wallets and not the U.S.A.

To force them to become the People of the Book, as in the Bible.

‘Coz actually, they don’t really want to.

    I agree.

    It is weird though.
When Israel took out Iraq’s nuke reactor, it had no U.S. Airforce to deal with.

It is weird....... that the only thing seemingly between the IAF taking out Iran’s nuke installations....is the U.S. Airforce in Iraq.

I don’t want to get into thee question of what the U.S. is (still) doing in Iraq, far from home.

But the fact remains that the world’s most powerful Airforce stands between the IAF and Iran.

Will the U.S. Airforce help Israel strike Iran? No- if so, it would have occurred already.

If nothing is done.. as Israeli politicians, fearful of the U.S., let Iran acquire a nuke... and Iran nukes Israel.. will Israel nuke New York? Washington? (by using subs). How would you feel if that happened? Would it be fair?

If the U.S. Airforce sends up jets to confront the IAF on the way in to Iran- and the IAF shoots down scores of U.S. jets.. is that fair? How would you feel?

Iran can not easily destroy the U.S. It can however easily destroy Israel. It has said it will. It should be taken at its word especially if you live in Israel.

I say Israel should stike Iran.
If the U.S. Airforce tries to stop the IAF.. then the U.S. is defending Iran in trying to take out Israel.. then in the fight between the IAF and U.S. Airforce may the best man win.

Bottom line- why is the U.S. hell-bent on protecting Iran in it’s quest for nukes? And on preventing Israel from striking Iran in the same way that Israel hit Iraq at Osirak?

  • What if the Israelis bomb Iran?

I read the Anthony Cordesman 100 page report on Israel bombing Iran. The report’s conclusion? Don’t attack, let diplomacy and “containment” work. I think Iran will nuke Israel if they can. Therefore Israel should attack Iran whether with F-15Is and F-16Is or Jericho ballistic missile. However the Israeli government is led by an incompetent rabble of fraudsters who cannot do what is correct for the State of Israel. Also, the best and easiest way to get to Iran is over Jordan and Iraq. They both have weak airforce capabilities. But the USA controls Iraq.

If the USA is such a good friend of Israel, why don’t they attack Iran? Or at least let Israel use air bases in Iraq? Or at least let Israel overfly Iraq? What is the USA doing in Iraq anyway really...? Look at a map and tell me why they are there so far from home? Afghanistan I can maybe understand in terms of the Taliban and 9/11 etc. But Iraq?

So it seems the USA, especially now under that character Obama, may be the biggest impediment to Israel attacking Iran. How weird.

    yeh i agree.
the USA sells advanced tech. to every open and less open enemy of Israel:

F-16’s to Egypt and Jordan, Abrams tanks to Egypt and the Saudis, F-15C’s and F-15E’s to the Saudis, Apaches to the Egyptians and Saudis, advanced frigates to the Egyptians, it’s a long list that goes on and on. American has broken many deals it made with Israel.

it’s mainly the USA that has for decades been pushing Israel to leave Gaza and get out of the West Bank. it won’t move it’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. etc etc.

the aid the US gives Israel has way too many strings. the weak Israeli govt. should stand on its own feet but alas it does not do so. Israel won the 1967 war without US weapons.

i’m not American nor Israeli and to see these posters freaking out of their skin (after reading the above) over a proposed sale of a couple of drones (which won’t be armed with weapons likely) and which are made in Israel (without US tech. Israel is a world leader in drones) is funny.

the help to South Africa (the Galil and Glilon became the R4 and R5 respectivly, i used the R5) was help to an ally- at that time the US supported South Africa against the Cubans and Russians in Angola, so what enemy? can’t even get your facts straight.

even US arrogance should have its limits.

The South African government’s idea of “poverty alleviation” is crap.

This year and last year, I went on a road trip (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/9203500) to the Eastern Cape region of South Africa (called Transkei under apartheid) commonly known as the Wild Coast.

It is a totally beautiful part of the world, rolling green hills, powerful rivers, steep valleys, incredible beaches, surfable waves, waterfalls flowing right into the sea.

We drove for a few hours past the local inhabitants’ communities. The Xhosa people. This is supposed to be South Africa’s poorest area. But we saw great things, in our opinion.

We saw typically ethnic mud-brick homes with thatch coverings, they looked strong and were good to look at. They were everywhere.

    http://www.panoramio.com/photo/9204221

They were painted blue and green (supposed to ward off the evil spirits).

Around the huts were local gardens, usually quite small with a home-made wooden stake fence surrounding it. Along with a few chickens, sheep and the odd donkey or such. We saw mielies growing along with fruit and vegetables.

In other words these are self sufficient communities. They pay no rent, and have no bonds. They may pay a small affordable fee to the local tribal chief however this may be payable in terms of cattle not currency.

Many of them have no electricity- and they do not need it from what we saw. This also frees them from paying such bills and from power cuts etc.

They collected water from one of the many rivers in the area or from rain water tanks.

They grow their own food. No need for large food stores or bills or advertising or queues.

People help eachother. Communal support. No strangers with the neighbours.

They live in a beautiful area.
    They are and look HAPPY.
Now what value does one put on Quality Of Life??

Now comes the S.A. government with “poverty alleviation”.. they destroy the area’s natural beauty.. bring 9-5 jobs.. bring stress.. that was not there before.. destroy the local community support structures.. bring housing along with relatively expensive rentals and housing bonds.. people no longer work the land.. up come the ugly shopping malls.. liquor stores.. laziness.. boredom.. crime.. greed.. theft.

Myself and my friend stayed at a local backpackers in a typical Xhosa hut right by the beach. No crime. We felt safe. The hut was surprisingly spacious inside and very well insulated from the elements outside. We had fun and we had a great time. The locals were friendly and there were no beggars along the many kilometres of very rural sand-road we drove on. We saw people in the fields, tending to cattle, and so on.

These people in Dollar terms are poor yes.
    But so what?
In Quality Of Life terms they are NOT poor.

This is the problem of South Africa (and Africa).
Rural men (and women) move to the large urban areas and cannot find jobs. They turn to crime. The rural areas they leave behind thus have deteriorating support structures.

    Materialism is a culprit.
Sometimes Western ways are best left in the West.
    Urbansiation is a culprit.

Apartheid brought about a few very developed urban areas in South Africa (Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg-Pretoria) along with pockets of immense wealth.

Post-apartheid South Africa, along with false promises from the ANC, broken promises from the ANC, greed and corruption from the ANC, allied with intense materialism and greed thrown liberally around, leaves a financially poor mass of people who all hanker after the urban areas in search of money and work. They find some or none and turn to crime and theft and murder. Organised crime joins the part too while the government cares less.

Families break up. Children have no role models. Society breaks down. Add to this the ANC government’s ineptitude in letting in masses of Nigerians (can you say “drugs”) and masses of Zimbabweans due to mismanagement of the Mugabe situation, and you magnify this problem.

I live behind a high wall with an electric fence and infra-red beams in my garden, and a gun in my open safe at night, in Johannesburg, with private armed tactical response patrolling the streets outside, yet in the Wild Coast we slept with virtually unlocked doors in total safety.

Sometimes the really old ways are the best.

What is the USA doing so far from home.. in Iraq anyway?
Iran has threatened to destroy Israel.
Iran is much larger than Israel in terms of population and size and world support.
Who supports Israel? The USA? How? By denying Israel its natural right to defend itself and pre-emptive strikes?
Seems like the USA is more of an enemy to Israel actuall.
I’d say fly the IAF through Iraq and do what you need to do.
Have the guts and courage. Think of the Hebrew warriors of old, thousands of years old. America is only a few hundred years old and is nothing less than an advanced big bully.
Do what you must do, and shoot the U.S. airforce out of Iraq’s skies if necessary. By denying Israel access to Iran in terms of a strike, the USA is thus on the side of Iran.
Israel should refuse all U.S. support and the ties that hold it down. Rely on yourself and be strong.
It worked in 1967 in the six day war- U.S. weapons and banana republic ties came in droves after that.
Israel should develop ties with Japan, China etc and forget the U.S. which is a selfish dying empire the new Rome.
But the Israeli leaders are cowards, fools and in the pockets of the greedy Americans.
So Israel remains a little banana republic of a big greedy imploding new Rome. May it implode soon, and free Israel from its pathetic politics.

    I agree!
I am Jewish and support Israel but I think Israel has become a banana republic thanks to the USA and thanks to itself- a country with no guts.
Israel won the 1967 war without US help.
It should wean itself off US aid (with all the strings attached) and jack up its own ability to produce aircraft.

As for giving secrets away, its all on in love and war.
The US gave Israeli secrets to the Saudis in the past. Nothing new. So Israel helped China with a jet, yeh so what?

The Chinese jet is just one of its jets, not the only one. The Chinese Su27 is far superior in many ways. Also the Lavi based jet by now is 2 decades old in design. It is a non stealthy base design and the JSF and F22 are way ahead.
