No my friend, If Cumulus lets Rush go he will not have where to go in most of the biggest markets!

WJR Detroit, WBAP Dallas, WLS Chicago, WMAL DC. These are the major stations with no CC competitors! If Rush loses them he is a goner.

Talkers magazine publishes a "Top Talk Radio Audiences" list, now with the new monthly PPM ratings system they publish the list every month. Savage was on top of that list since i can remember at 10 million behind Rush (15 mill) and Sean (13) Now i was shocked to see Savage with only 3.5 million on the bottom. This is so sad, makes me wonder if this whole Cumulus thing was worthed.

Really? Than Savage would be better off doing an internet-only radio show in his previous time slot!

How come Savage is still not on yet on the 2 Cumulus stations WLS and KABC?

Is that the best deal Savage could make? He will never be fully understood.

Mike, I’m a Savage listener going back to 2001. So i can tell you that the bashing started in late 2004, when Savage couldn’t stop bashing O’reilly who didn’t let the swift boat veterans for the truth (against John Kerry) onto his FOX program. It was then that he labeled him the “Leprechaun”... From there on he went on to bash “Hush Bimbo”... A few years later he started with the “Wallbanger” and so on... Until that time (2004) his show was pure news driven, advice, story telling entertainment. The show was focused on himself not on the competitor.

Now he does a 2 hour live show he focuses almost entirely on bashing and putting down other hosts. As much as i like Savage i can not deny that he comes across as a jealous little crying baby.

Bad news for you. It has nothing to do with WMAL, Savage is now being syndicated by Cumulus, they own WMAL and WABC and many other big talkers. It was not a WMAl move.

Just get used to it! Savage only does a 2 hour show, i dont even bother to stay tuned for a third hour. There is no third hour!

I’m a Savage fan as well, and i’m no fan of Hannity etc. at all. But the bashing of others is getting tiresome, and its diminishing Savage! It was entertaining for a while but not any longer. Savage needs to focus more on himself/show, he should either let his callers finish a sentence or stop taking calls altogether.

And he should come clean about his 3’d hour! His listeners deserve some respect an honest host!

He is back to being the old Savage, just bashed the Wallbanger... His repetitive and constantly criticizing, cuts off the callers.

Savage must live in dreamland if he thinks any major syndicator is interested in his show. He is so yesterdays news. His show might have had a chance 7 years ago to get a deal with one of the biggies.

I guess wer’e seeing now Savage retiring.

Yep. The name calling started in summer 0f 2004 when Savage first nicknamed Oreilly the Leprechaun and his show went downhill since. Sad. No one could be more entertaining and humorous than Savage, i dono why he changed path.

I left the Savage Nation more than a year , i realized that he actually left me long before! Now i don’t have to suffer from withdrawal anymore! Its a pity checking in here reading how sad the posters here feel, I think its time to let go, trust me you’ll feel better. Take it from a solid 10 year avid Savage listener.

No, you’re not alone! I was an avid listener to Savage going back to 2001 when he first arrived here in NYC WABC every night from 8 till 10 i was glued to my little Sony walkman radio. Then i followed him to WOR 6-9, i did not miss a show!!

Now days its just a pity listening to him, he apparently isn’t the smartest man on the radio as i ones thought. But he is definitely the sharpest and used to be the most comedic/ humoristic radio performer. But not anymore at least not to my ears.

So no, your not alone. I have not listened in a year.

Besides you’re off point. Every host wants to be cleared LIVE, he chose this time in day so he wants to be aired at this time and interact with his listeners/callers. In LA that wont be the case anymore for him or his “few” listeners.
