The US is starved for computer chips. In response, TI is building a new chip plant in Sherman, TX, and Samsung has announced a chip plant in Taylor, TX, which is a suburb of Austin. It will take a while to get the plants up and running, but it is a great sign of companies seeing that it is no longer profitable to rely on an Asian provider of products.

Per Fox News - breaking - All flights out of the Kabul airport have been suspended due to the situation there. In other words, the only way out is to try to drive or walk to the border. Pray for those who have been abandoned by our government.

Ok, watching the news, etc. second circuit breaker hit at a 7+% drop in the DOW. Trading halted. Oil collapsed 30% overnight. There is a potential of a major collapse today. Port of Galveston flooded today, and the bus delivering the cruise ship passengers from the parking area abandoned the passengers several blocks from the cruise terminal. A KHOU reporter down doing a report on the flooding saw a 71 year old woman struggling to get to the ship, took her bag and escorted her through the flooded streets to make her cruise. Well worth watching the video.

Got the latest update on Windows 10, eliminated the Home Group and ALL networking capability. Trying to force me to use the Cloud. Uh, NO. My stuff is NOT going to be on the cloud. Use Sneakernet first. Any 3rd party inexpensive networking software or work-arounds that can solve a small office computing networking issue?

Updated IOS for my IPad, Safari is running slow, rebooting the page. Anyone have a suggestion how to fix this, new browser, etc? Very irritating. Thanks in advance.

From various sources, Subway Sandwich, which is a privately held company, has abruptly pulled its advertising from NASCAR and YouTube. The company is citing 'unforeseen circumstances' AKA, we are short of money. If any here are involved with Subway franchises, just be aware that there may be issues.
