I like a lot of his songs. My favorites are Pressure, Big Shot, Movin’ Out, and We Didn’t Start The Fire. If those songs come on the radio, I will sing along with them. I hate Piano Man. That cheesy harmonica just grates on my nerves. It’s probably only Billy Joel song that I dislike.
Mashal Sherzad, 29, was fired from her position as the diversity, equity and inclusion manager at the University of Minnesota because of now seemingly deleted pictures that she accidentally uploaded onto her public social media of her posing in front of the controversial flag.
WNBC News in NYC did a story about this last night… kind of. The reporter said that Hochul “met briefly” with family members at the funeral home. They didn’t mention that she had been asked to leave. If Trump had been asked to leave, I don’t think they would have neglected to mention it.
In November I saw a fawning story about Slow Joe taking a “polar bear” swim with his grandkids. Apparently this was proof of the dummy's vitality and superb condition. I'm sure there will be many similar stories as the year grinds on.
During the Weekend Update segment last night, one of the idiot co-anchors made a joke about Gaza calling for a ceasefire in Chicago. This joke was very similar to a joke that appeared in Babylon Bee a couple of days ago. I guess they figured if plagiarism is good enough for Harvard, then it's good enough for SNL.
I love to read all kinds of fiction. Thrillers and detective novels are particular favorites. I enjoy Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series, Peter Robinson’s Alan Banks series, and John Sandford’s Lucas Davenport novels. I’m also a big fan of the Travis McGee books. I really liked The Deep Blue Good-by and The Green Ripper.
Lately I’ve been reading classic books that I somehow missed when I was growing up. I read The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz, Winnie The Pooh, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Mary Poppins, Anne Of Green Gables, and The Wind In The Willows. I enjoyed all of them, and I look forward to reading more books like them. Sometimes I need a dose of whimsy, you know?
