The Arizona Democrat Party and a Maricopa County Board Supervisor filed a complaint arguing the audit violates state law. Superior Court Judge allowed the audit to continue with a hearing set for Tuesday. In today’s hearing, plaintiffs in the case argued that Cyber Ninjas, the lead party in the audit, has not provided adequate proof of its ability to conduct a secure and confidential audit of the ballots. The Defendants argued that they have a right to protect their procedures and policies from review by the plaintiffs because, state Senate, has not been waived from privilege in the case.

A Tri-Cities resident, while inside the Circle K located at Steptoe St and Gage Blvd in Kennewick found a plastic bag that had $7,000 in it on Thursday night. He turned the money over to the store clerk. The clerk safeguarded the money until police were able to arrive. Officer Sheppard with the Richland Police Department was close by and stopped to assist. Officer Sheppard and Kennewick Police Sergeant Littrell counted the money. Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Timothy Thomason ruled on Friday that it was within the Senate’s authority to subpoena the materials and equipment so it can audit the election. SB 1408 spell out in statute: election equipment procurement and performance information and all relevant data and communications, are public records.
