  • Romney aides blast 'hypocrites' who asked for cabinet jobs and are now trashing him

I apologize to you...I did not mean to imply that you were ‘beating up on Romney’. I intended that comment to apply to Gingrich, Jindal, and Christie who I consider to be opportunists of the worst sort. Their comments sounded to me as if they were suggesting that Republicans should bend over backwards to be nice to Democrats, and “to get along, go along.” I think Republicans have been doing too much of this, and I think the Obama administration should be exposed at every opportunity as the frauds and crooks many of them are.

I agree with Romney that the entitlements Obama was making available to blacks, immigrants, and women were nothing more than gifts (money) to insure they vote for him. If the three hypocrites cared for the Republican Party they would have made their suggestions or comments privately to Republican leaders rather than to the media.

Sorry again for giving the impression that you were beating up on anyone.

I believe Romney's wife said this would be his last race, and I believe her. The election is over, and rather than beat up Romney, I think it would be a lot smarter to be studying our Congressmen and potential presidential candidates. I can tell you three men who I will not support for any office...Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie, and Bobby Jindal. Newt Gingrich is just looking for a way to make some money to pay off his debts, and the three men are nothing but hypocrites. In my opinion, Gingrich will do anything in his power to destroy anyone who stands in his way of getting what he wants. He supported Romney after he lost in the primary and needed a job. But when Romney lost the election (or had it stolen by the early unregistered and unqualified voters)Gingrich once again jumped ship and the three men showed their true colors.

Christie has always been a show off and bully, and he really showed his lack of character when he gave Obama a week of undeserved praise.

If you want to know about Bobby Jindal, ask the people of Louisiana, and while you're at it; take a look at the parishes of Louisiana that are suffering while Jindal seeks to create a national name for himself!

I suggest we seek a way to expose Obama for the fraud he is, and stop destroying innocent people because they didn't meet our expectations. Do you see or hear democrats destroying their own? They stick together, and we destroy our own!

I agree also. Romney told the truth, and he certainly had the right to do so even if some thought he shouldn't have spoken out. I was personally disgusted with the criticisms made by Jindall, Rubio, and Christie. Christie certainly aided and abetted Obama when he needed it most! They could have kept their criticisms to themselves and done constructive work to restore the Republican Party. They have done more harm and brought more ridicule to Republicans than the remarks by Romney.

For the past two elections we have chosen candidates who tried to be the nice guy and acted as if they had no backbone. It was tantamount to sending an innocent child into a den of rattlesnakes and telling him to be nice and the snake won't bite him. We all knew Obama and his campaign organizers have no regard for the truth and will do whatever it takes to win. If I understand the ones criticizing Romney now, they are suggesting that we lie down and let the Democrats stomp us while we act nice and trusting. That game doesn't appeal to me...I'm ready to fight fire with fire, and if Obama has to face the truth about himself so be it. I won't support apologists for Republicans, but I will support someone who is willing to be strong and stand up for what is right for the United States. They must also be willing to treat as serpents the Democrats who act like rattle snakes, and that includes Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi!

Not only could she not pass the DC law boards, she was unsuccessful as an attorney in Arkansas. You can read about her failures and how she managed to secure a position at The Rose Law Firm here: http://www.internationalnews.fr/article-13832621.html

I can see her being the president of a ward in some female prison. She does not deserve any of the accolades she has received...where has she ever succeeded? She has only succeeded in hurting other people. She betrayed people who had helped her, and she helped destroy the women Bill Clinton was alleged to have assaulted.

There were several reasons Romney lost. Not the least reason being the Republicans who, if they can't have the candidate of their choice, will vilify and destroy the nominee with all sorts of negative comments. You don't see or hear the Democrats trying to destroy their candidate, and you can bet most of them know that Obama is unqualified for the job and one of the biggest liars next to Bill and Hillary Clinton to ever occupy the White House. Republicans need to learn there is no perfect candidate, and what pleases one person may not please another, but we have got to learn not to destroy our candidates. Some Republicans refused to vote because they didn't get their way! I voted for Romney and would vote for him again today because I believe he and Ryan could/would turn around our economy. I, also, believe the defense of our nation would be more secure, and they would stand with Israel.

Chris Christie certainly is responsible for aiding and abetting Obama by embracing him and praising him to high heaven. Obama used him for a photo op and lied to him while doing so, but Christie didn't have enough sense to recognize it. He was promoting himself while stabbing Romney in the back.

I believe fraud played a huge part in Romney's defeat. I think America just got a glimpse of Chicago politics at its’ worst. Ironically, places that threw out Republican poll watchers went over 90% for Obama and other places went for him 100%. The mainstream media needs to be ostracized and newspapers such as The N.Y. Times should pay the price for their duplicity in electing Obama again.

Christie doesn't have the nerve to talk to Romney because he knows that Romney knows he betrayed him. I can't imagine a Republican or a Democrat ever wanting someone as sleazy as Christie in their Party. Who can ever trust him? He would stab anyone in the back if he thought it would help him, but he goofed when he helped elect Obama again. The people in the Northeast are learning first hand that you cannot trust Obama, and Christie is going to learn the hard way. Christie is toast...no one wants anything to do with a loud mouth bully and opportunist who cares only for himself. Thank goodness, he has exposed himself for the worthless piece of trash he is! He needs to vanish from the political scene.

I agree with you 100%. Christie should resign as Governor of N.J. after his childish display of fawning over the worst and most dishonest president in the history of the United States. To make matters worse, he acted like a teeny-bopper weeping over such a non-talent such as Bruce Springsteen. I never trusted Christie...he was, and is, in my opinion, a blathering, loud-mouth bully who is impressed with himself. He should hang his head in shame after exposing himself to be a back stabbing opportunist.

I have never been a Christie fan and couldn’t understand why Ann Coulter was so gung-ho about him. I found him to be bullish and a show off. In my opinion, he lacked the temperament and self control to be President or Vice-President.

I agree 100% with the second paragraph of your post! I wanted to slug him when he was walking arm in arm with Obama. There was no need for all the praising he was doing... a polite recognition was all that was needed.

I don’t think the Muslims fear Obama. In his autobiography, DREAMS FROM MY FATHER, Obama wrote: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction” IF anyone is responsible for this attack, you only have to look at the weakness of this president and his administration. John Kerry is a perfect fit for the Obama administration...arrogant, deceitful, and a money chasing gigolo!

Perhaps the Cheney’s love their daughter in spite of her lifestyle not because of it. I can’t imagine they would stop loving their daughter, so if she is of age, what choice do they have? They can either accept her and pray she will change or disown her. I would guess they are making the best of a heartbreaking situation for them. I agree with you that she is living a quiet life and not flaunting her lifestyle like so many do.

I agree the media lets many Democrats get by with lies, but Debbie Wasserman Schultz seems to prefer lying when the truth would serve her much better.

I checked if there was a cure for a pathological liar, and it seems they need to have a thorough psychological examination to determine if they have a mental problem. It seems several Democrats may be mentally impaired! I'm sure there are Rhino's with the same problem.

  • Romney Fires Back After DNC Platform Excludes Jerusalem as Israeli Capital

I thought this thread was about Romney responding to the DNC's removal of GOD and the omitting of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel from their platform. All of a sudden, it seems to be an argument about whether Romney, a Mormon, is a Christian. I believe the First Article to the Bill of Rights states that 'we have freedom of religion', and I do not think his religion should prevent him from being President should he win the election. I am not a Mormon, nor do I believe as they do. However, rather than judge them or criticize them, I find it a better use of my time to pray that they will accept the TRUTH as God presents it in the Bible.

I hope this scripture, Romans 2:1-16 will interest you...paying particular attention to the first verse: "Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things." I am not accusing you because I really don't understand your intentions, but I thought you might find some merit in these scriptures.

Wonder if one of the disgruntled former employees will turn out to be the man who made two ads for the Obama campaign...the last being the one in which he alleges Romney was responsible for his wife’s death? Stephanie Cutter vowed she’d never heard of the man before, and ended up being caught in a lie! After watching Axelrod and Pouffe on the networks yesterday, and knowing all the lies Obama has told; you wonder if there is anyone associated with the DNC that knows the definition of TRUTH.

Newt is his own worst enemy. He is nothing more than a big mouth narcissitic egomaniac. I’m surprised you haven’t done an in depth study of the things he has said and done. After the first debate, he acknowledged he had jotted down the phrase “gotcha questions” and planned to use it at the first opportunity, so he used it on Chris Wallace when Chris asked a question any good journalist would have asked. Newt attacked John King for asking a question about comments made by his second wife, and Newt said ‘his friends were willing to testify that the comments were lies.’ When asked to produce the friends, the only people who agreed to testify were his two daughters.

After he passed the Contract With America, he decided to change some of the promises he made. When some of the Congressmen refused to support him in lying to the American citizens, he threw a tantrum and threatened them. Former Congressman Steve Largent took to the podium and told him he had been threatened by 300 lb. linemen, and he would not be intimidated by Speaker Gingrich....he refused to betray the people who had elected him!

I find nothing to recommend Newt Gingrich and would never vote for anyone so lacking in discipline and character! I do believe he is a narcissistic egomaniac.
