Yeah, and the concentration camp workers were just doing theirs, too.

The choice is to quit, or to do evil. Which would you choose ?

No, you’d sell the house and find a place to rent that’s a lot cheaper.

How do you keep your paid-off house if you have no income ? What do you use to pay property taxes and keep the lights and heat on and food on the table ?

Not correct. You can be made to sell your house if you have too much equity in it.

    Really ? 50% in 5 months not much ?

Maybe you need to try a casino instead. I’m sure that’d be much more exciting and produce a bigger swing in your account balance in a smaller amount of time.

And for those who might complain without knowing the facts...everybody should know how the American flag is displayed when the flagpole has a gaff ? Display in Maritime Setting For the most part, the provisions of the Flag Code are manifest in the traditions and customs for the display of the U.S. Ensign (flag) by seamen. The following provisions are made for the display of the flag on a mast located on yacht club grounds. (Chapman Piloting: Seamanship and Small Boat Handling, American Book-Stratford Press, Inc., New York, NY) 1. Single Mast (no Yard or Gaff) • U.S. Ensign (flag) is flown at the truck (#1). • All other flags are pennants flown below U.S. Ensign. 2. Mast with Yard: • U.S. Ensign (flag) is flown at the truck (#1). • Club burgee (flag) is flown at the starboard (right) yard arm (#3). 3. Mast with a Yard and Gaff: • U.S. Ensign (flag) is flown at the gaff (#2). • Club burgee (flag) is flown at the truck (#1). • Flags at #3 and #4 vary depending on the activity at the club. It is display #3 which causes the most confusion. This puts the club burgee in a higher position physically, but not above that of the U.S. Ensign (flag) symbolically. By the normal Flag Code provisions, this would seem to be an incorrect display. The tradition of the seas, however, is to hold the gaff as the position of honor; thus, the intent of this tradition and display is to give proper respect to the flag. Where a yard is involved, rules provide that when a foreign ensign is displayed, the U.S. Ensign (flag) is flown at #3; the foreign ensign at #4; the club burgee at #1; and other flags at #2. The gaff extends aft (to the rear), and a mast on yacht club grounds is faced seaward. Therefore the gaff will (or should) be directed toward the land. The observation point then becomes a point somewhere on the sea side of the mast. This then makes the placement of the U.S. Ensign (flag) in regard to the foreign ensign conform to Flag Code provisions.

    1. If this bill is so good CONgress and everyone else should be subject to its provisions. Why does CONgress hold itself above the people it serves ?

    2. Why is CONgress allowing Obama to do CONgress’ job with unaccountable Czars ?

    3. Why is CONgress not forcing the investigation and prosecution of the banking sector fraud ? Why does it allow the SEC to abrogate its duties ? We the people wast CONgress to stop the looting of the American taxpayer and start prosecuting. Why are the executives and board members of AIG, Fannie and Freddie not under indictment, for a start ?

    4. Why is CONgress not passing the Audit The Fed bill ? Where have trillions of dollars gone and why don’t we know about it ? Where’s the transparency and ethics promised by the Democratic party ?

Stay away from the birth certificate and Nazi/socialism comparisons - they will get you marginalized and you will not get any kind of answer that’s helpful. Concentrate on direct, pointed, answerable questions and hold his feet to the fire.

No, it’s not a separate issue; that’s my entire point. Yes we all dislike the Dems and know how they’re screwing us over. But, so many here say just what you did-oh the GOP isn’t great either but they’re “less evil” than the Dems so we’ll support them and hope that later we can get them more conservative.

You are rewarding them for less-bad behavior, but it’s still a reward. Until you remove the reward, you are an enabler of the bad behavior.

The GOP deserves NO support until the party and the leadership have rock-solid, abiding conservative views. Do you see the GOP putting someone like Pence or McCotter in a leadership position ? No, so why support the squishy middle - all you get are revolting compromises with Dems.

So who cares about the GOP and why they shouldn’t get the blame ? They’re just as bad, but in a different way.

If the GOP ere truly conservative that would be one thing, but they’re not.

You and everyone else here needs to stop pushing the tired GOP good Dem bad meme and realize that they are just the same coin with different faces.

How many times have we seen All Dems for something, GOP against, but then just a few GOP change their minds to get some abhorrent piece of slime passed. Then they wash, rinse, repeat for something else that the GOP wants.

Politicians, no matter the party, are not working in our best interests. They all, Dem and GOP, work for the banking oligarchy with a nod to corporations every so often.

The only answer is to throw all these anti-Constitutional traitors out of office, all of them, and only vote in those who will truly stand for very limited government, strict Constitutional policies.

You would think they could - but the Dems are bought and paid for by the trial lawyers so no, they’ll not agree to that.

Secondly, part of the state regs, besides prohibiting insurance across state lines, is because states mandate certain types of coverage that must be included in a basic policy. It’s another way they reward their mental health lobbyists, the chiropractic lobbyists etc. Eliminate the mandates and costs will go way down too.

nine out of 10 people under 65 are covered by their employers Horsehockey. No 1099 worker is covered under an employer policy, nor are many small business employees. We do have problems in the health insurance area, big problems, but Obama's proposals will of course not fix them.

Folks, the answer is very simple. Mobilize your family & friends, stage a protest with as many people as you can persuade to go to the steps of the Capital, and make yourself heard.

Secondly, make sure you and everybody you know votes for a CONgresscritter in ‘10 that is NOT an incumbent. I don’t care if that non-incumbent is a communist or some other specie. Get the entrenched idiots out of office and MAKE THEM AFRAID OF THE BALLOT BOX.

Right now over 96% are returned to office every election. That MUST STOP !

If there is no longer an “elite” in CONgress, they won’t vote one thing for us and another thing for themselves.

No legislation moves that fast. You have time. Calm down - then go get a few thousand of your best buds and hit the street loudly in front of the Capital.
