This election resembles to me 1976 and 1980. It reminds me of a wildly unpopular sitting president...a war that by and large was not popular and caused great harm to the sitting president. Theresa Heinz-Kerry voted in Pittsburgh today with her sons...but no John Kerry. When was the last time a candidate and his wife did not vote together on election day? Come to think of it John Kerry and his wife haven't been seen together in quite some time. I think this tells a lot about the "likeability" of candiates.
