My prediction is here: https://www.270towin.com/maps/QpJyN Wouldn’t this be nice? 356-182. I got this by giving Trump the states he won in 2016, plus all the States W. won at least once in 2000/2004, plus Minnesota and New Hampshire. I know VA, CO, NM and NV are a bit of a stretch. But if Trump gets 50% of Latinos, 15% of Blacks... it could happen.

  • Colorado Becoming California

Much of the immgrination into Colorado is from emirigation from Califronia. Yet, the new residents in Colorado seem bent on repeating the same mistakes of California in electing Democrats. WTF. California was great as along as it was a majority Republican State. Then in the 90's in swinged wide to the Dems. Are these people insane in electing Democrats who got their original state in so much trouble in the first place that they had to move?

The DSCC is moving TV ad money out of Missouri, a sign that the Senate race may be moving beyond Democrats' grasp. Four Republican sources who monitor media buying and three Missouri TV stations have confirmed to Hotline On Call that the DSCC has canceled reservations from Oct. 11 to Oct. 25. The DSCC still has reservations in Missouri for the last week before Election Day.

Just received this letter in the mail today: "About one week from now, you will receive a 2010 Census form in the mail... Results from 2010 Census will be used to help each community get its fair share of government funds... The letter makes no mention of congressional reapportionment which is the real reason for the census under the Constitution.

For several decades, it has been an article of faith among politicians and political analysts that no candidate can win a U.S. presidential election unless he can dominate the broad center of the spectrum, that all candidates on the edges of the left or right are doomed. Barry Goldwater's "extremism . . . is no vice" campaign of 1964 provides the classic evidence, reinforced by George McGovern's 1972 defeat in 49 out of 50 states... Ex-President Gerald Ford left no doubt about his views when he warned last month: "A very conservative Republican cannot win in a national election."

Dems to Lose House--and Win Senate? Up to now the Conventional Wisdom (CW) has been that the Dems have a very good chance to retake the House but will have a much harder time picking up the six seats necessary to take over the Senate. Is it possible this is backwards--that the Dems actually have a better chance of taking the Senate than the House?

Missing Veto Pen Discovered in Spector’s Office The pen used by presidents to veto congressional legislation, which had been missing from the Oval Office since January 2001, has apparently showed up in the office of Judiciary Chairman Arlen Spector. According to sources within the White House, Spector was seen with the pen as he left a meeting with the President last week on possible nominees to the Supreme Court. President Bush nominated Harriet Miers to the post on Monday, and it is widely speculated that Spector’s appearance with the pen had something to do with Bush passing over of the...

For the first time since all the speculation began, we have come to a rare holding pattern where the names of one day have not suddenly shifted. Robert Novak is reporting that Samuel Alito and Harriet Miers are in the running. I'm still hearing Corrigan and Alito, with Williams as a back up. Several I have spoken to say the President has considered Miers, but that the White House has calculated that it would have trouble holding the base given that Miers is more of an enigma than Roberts. The White House has made a calculation that the Democrats are...

WASHINGTON — After a breakfast meeting with key Senate leaders at the White House Wednesday, President Bush was keeping close to his vest his choice of a replacement for Sandra Day O'Connor (search) on the U.S. Supreme Court. "I have raised a certain cautionary signal," Specter told reporters outside the Executive Mansion on Wednesday, "but I believe the next nomination is going to be a great deal more contentious than the Roberts' nomination. I say that because, bubbling just below the surface was a lot of frustration in the hearing that we just concluded." ******* The senators did not identify...
