The building is said to have burnt down. It is thought nobody was in the consulate at the time.

Our understanding Arab friends from the Arab spring.
“This is what democracy looks like.”
Right?
They think this brings respect to Islam?
It only makes me thing they are still 7th century savages whose religion is no more than a violent cult.
This has hit Drudge
Because ‘2016; Obama’s America’ reveals the ugly truth about Obama?
Wow just wow. I thought we were safer now a days. They would love us. FUBO!!!!!!
Did I need the major dripping sarc tag?
Interesting that this appeared on US TV and then disappeared. (According to posts here - I didn’t see it because I don’t watch TV during the day or virtually any other time.)
And now the building has been burned down?
The staff was actually evacuated earlier. The only people left were the Marines, and I hope they got out, since there was obviously no interest on our part in defending it.
The Arab Spring. Way to go, Bambi!
But Obama gave a speech in Cairo in 2009! We’re different now from bad old George Bush! They should love us!!!
"Wait till Otis sees us! He loves us!"
And just what is this supposed “film” that they're so worked up about?
To my knowledge, no one has identified any film by title.
Let me guess the Bozo Zero gave order to not retaliate against this uncivilized terrorists? The way Bozo sees it, it is just as he learned from the Bill Ayers handbook. Pretty sure somewhere right now, Obozo is well pleased. This is sickening!
You’ll notice that not ONE article has named this movie that supposedly insults Islam?
Libya, Egypt.
I would suspect collusion.
If they love us in Jakarta, maybe Obama isn't such a total failure after all...
Of course.
Don’t you know 9/11 was an inside job? It’s not like there are islamic terror groups that hate the U.S.A. /sarc not really needed but why not
Can’t find any reports from US media, except a link in AP World which was up briefly and then taking down.
Waiting for Confirmation.
doesn't matter what happens, the goathumpers are safety wired to the terrorist/murderous thug position anyway so fill in the blank...
This is the movie:

External security for embassies rests with the local army and sometimes police. The marines are responsible for the in side. Some embassies have 9-15 marines and all not on duty at one time. I think a few embassies may have a complement of up to 22.
If 200 people storm the embassies would be hard to kill them all, as much as I’d like to see it. Ou folks are really not that secure against a human wave attack.
In some countries the local gov gives a heads up regarding the demonstration and everyone stays away or hunkers down in the building until the demo is over, but safe, not likely.
In Jerusalem the consulate is guarded on the outside by armenia security personnel. I didn’t see any weapons. Down the block was a small structure with 4 Israeli soldiers. Don’t know what they have in Te Aviv.
what does an ‘al qaida’ flag even look like?
It’s some movie being made here in the US by a Dutch national of Middle Eastern Muslim descent, but it actually hasn’t even appeared yet, so far as I can determine.
However, the fact that this is 9/11 and there seems to have been some advanced knowledge on the part of embassy staff in these places (Libya and Egypt) indicates to me that this was actually something bigger than the movie, whatever it may be.
I suspect we’re seeing Obama covering up for the Muslims. I don’t read Arabic, so I don’t know what their signs and banners say, but it would be interesting to get a translation.
Even after a terrorist act the left weing media is spinning this.
#24 FYI
I hope the employees and Marines all got out. I read somewhere that they had advance notice in Egypt, and probably in Libya too.
The Muslim idiots may not have been armed, but if they managed to burn the place down...that’s not a good thing. Even getting in to tear down our flag was not a good thing either, to put it mildly.
I would suspect collusion."
Oh, come now.
What could they possibly have in common?
Big difference between Arab Spring and Irish Spring, wouldn’t you say? The way the media trots out that phrase, they make it sound like a positive thing, when all it is is destructive 7th century savage terrorists looking to kill or destroy anything not Islamic.
And the embassy in Cairo as well...but no no it isn’t coordinated. This is the way then end begins
There's bad, there's evil and there's muslims, the worst of both.
Thanks to 0bama’s Fundamentalist changes in America the world sure loves us now! /s
Rebels took our consul in Barcelona and his family hostage. Roosevelt ordered a US Navy cruiser to enter the harbor and tell the dirtbags to release our people unharmed within 24 hours, or said cruiser would start wasting the city.
Consul and family were released pronto.
That is the way to deal with barbarians.
On this anniversary of 9/11 I think is important to revisit what should have happened in 2001. While George W. Bush did many things correctly, and I think deep in his heart he understood the difference between good and evil, there were many things that he did not do.
The following should be done, and we should still do them:
1. All Muslims in the US on a visa or here illegally should have been deported.
2. All nations that have supported terrorism should have been destroyed.
3. The oil fields of such nations should have been controlled by the US without any payment to those nations.
4. All assets of such nations should have been confiscated to pay for their nation’s destruction and the cost to repair the oil fields and opening a free market when OPEC found they had no members.
5. No rebuilding should have occurred.
These five things could have been achieved in a year. Our safety would be more secure and our nation much richer. More importantly, the cult of Islam would be held in check.
Naive question: Why cut off the hand that fed you SO Very Well?!
Wanis al-Shari, Libya’s deputy interior minister, said the crowd in Benghazi attacked the building and that the information was confirmed by the US embassy in the capital, Tripoli, on Tuesday.
“There are fierce clashes between the Libyan army and an armed militia outside the US consulate,” Abdel-Monen Al-Hurr, spokesman for Libya’s Supreme Security Committee, said, adding that roads had been closed off and security forces were surrounding the building.
A US embassy source said there had been “an attack” on the diplomatic office in Benghazi, but gave no further details.

Isn’t this considered an attack on American soil? Whatever happened to the sanctity of our diplomatic embassy? Oh, now I remember. omuzzi is in charge and would rather apologize than defend our embassies. What a crock he is.
Whitehoue apologizes for muslim hurt feelings!!!!

U.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement
September 11, 2012
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others
> a human wave attack.
With enough ammo and your six covered a couple of machine gunners can crate an ever growing mountain of muzzy scum.
It will become so tall and steep that the gutter scum will need crampons and climbing skills to crawl up and die.
Finally,a small victory for the obama administration
The sovereign U.S. soil of our consulates and embassies are attacked and sacked and 0bowdown apologizes. I hate him. I really, truly hate him!
